Ky gets up and follows Carodoc out, leaving the rest of the party and the gold behind.
"What is your problem? I was defending myself. Your friend flat out just told me that if I dont get behind his belief system to leave. And I am thankful you killed so many. You are making my point for me. Had it been just me I would have been dead. When you are on your own, you dont wait for someone else to step between you and the Shadow Elf. You dotn challange them to a duel. You kill them before they burn your home to the ground. If you can do it in theory sleep before they attack all the better."
Unbuckling her armor, she begins to undo the straps. Taking a deep breath, she says, "I genuinely have no problem with you. You are skilled and quick and you would do well in the wilds with monsters and demons and abominations coming to kill you when you least expect it. And you are right. Nobles are bastards! I spent 30 years of my life with them, pretending to be better then everyone else. But when it came time to defend our peoples, they stood by and watched as our people were butchered. They let the small folk die while they sat in their tree palaces."
Lifting the studded leathers off her, she pulls her shirt over her head so she is standing naked to the waist in front of Carodoc.
You can see her soft curves and soft, firm breasts (anotomiacally propotionate). You see taught muscles and a tell toned abs. But all across her body there are long, thin scars. Some are raised while others are just hairline. They run from chest to arms, on her breasts, and on her stomach. She turns slowly so you can see them across her back as well. Some go down below her leggings, some look to be stab Mark's, while others look like slashing marks.
What is most notable is a large blotch of scar tissue that looks to be like a burn mark of some kind. It looks to have been healed by magic at some point, so it is not glossy, but there is a change to her skin tone. It wraps around her side and back, and goes up to the nipple of her left breast. Around the edges of this burn mark looking scar, are multiple puncture scars that looks like a large creature bite mark.
After spinning around arms wide she quickly covers her breasts with her arms. A but of redness comes to her cheeks, and she won't meet Carodocs eyes now, standing in front of him nude. Tears run down her cheeks now, which seems to make the cheeks burn hotter.
"This is what happens when people try to talk instead of act. I am sorry if my way of life does not fit yours. Perhaps your world view is to narrow, or perhaps I am to scarred to see things differently. I lived as a noble, but that life betrayed me. I wish you well. Perhaps in a few years your Paladin friend will realize that there is more then black and white."
Leaning down, she grabs her under clothing and armor. "Let me ask you 1 question... what will you do with the Dragonborn once you have your answers?"
Pulling her shirt over her, she leaves her bag and the gold in the bubble thing and starts walking northeast"
"Flint... I am leaving. There is an Elemental portal east of here. Perhaps these good people will help you to your end."
Ennis is in the process of beginning his first casting of Identify (the bag), when he hears Ky shout from outside the dome.
Ennis blinks.
Then he hurries to his feet and leaves the dome to follow after Ky (which WOULD dispel the dome, if it's just his and not part of some hybrid casting with Gelin, which the DM would have to make a call on).
OOC: I didnt come back in. I left the gold and my haversack on my shirt and walked away. I just called out to Flint that I was leaving. (Trying a new character out is hard. I need to stick to my guns on this.)
Without turning her head she waves her hand over her head, "I got you where you wanted to go, and I got my armor. I found who I have been hunting for for almost 20 years. If these people won't help me kill her... and yes, her I will murder... for the pure joy of it, not like the bandit I dispatched out of NEED, then I will do it on my own. Visarai will die by my hand or me by hers... and civilization and moral codes be damned. If my soul is damned for it, so be it, so long as I take her with me."
OOC: Actually, just thought of something that could affect ALL of the roleplay around this interaction.
Specifically, the dome created by Leomund's Tiny Hut is TRANSPARENT from the inside...so everyone inside the dome would have been able to see Ky's demonstration to Caradoc..
Ennis wouldn't have noticed because he was preparing his casting, so my edited version of the post above still stands, but I imagine seeing that would have some effect on most everyone else's RP moving forward...
OOC: so ky just flashed everyone???? Oh boy lol... good thing she does not know that.
"Visarai took away everything I ever loved. I will kill her one way or another. I was going to stick around and help Flint... it is my job... but if I am not wanted here, I will just go hunt her now."
She is now some 30 feet away, and still moving. She is strapping on her armor now as well.
Ennis slowly approaches Ky, close enough to converse but still keeping a respectful distance. He waits there for some time, then takes a seat leaning against the opposite side of the tree, his wand gently waving in his hand almost absentmindedly.

Cyrnair rolls his eyes, stands and follow Ennis but he stays at the door frame.
"Listen. We all want the same. To stop Visarai. If you are blind enough to let your pride get in the way of doing it, you are just running into your demise. I already told you.. several times now that you are a skilled warrior and capable ranger. Without you we couldn't have achieve what we achieved today, but you have to do two things for this to work. First, no more cold blood killing. Second, stop acting as if everything evolves around you and your personal goals. Want to be in the team? Be part of the team. Who knows maybe you could still learn something for the rest of us. I will feel better if you stay, but if you decide to go alone, as I said, I will pray to Lathander for Him to guide your path."
With that he enters again and tries to get some sleep.
Flint roughly deposit the dragonborn on the ground. He turns to the Gelin and clasps him on the shoulder, "That was some incredible work back there. Very quick thinking!"He steps into the hut. "And thank you for this resting place,"he says pulling their prisoner inside. He checks its bindings to make sure it is secure and gives the paladin a nod.
As the argument ensues, the cleric sighs as he knows what is coming. He pulls out a bottle from his pack and uncorks it with his teeth. He takes a healthy swig and hands it over to Gelin. "Cheers to a job well done,"though his voice did not echo the sentiment. He just sits back and watches it all unfold.
Got lots to catch up on.... May need a real drink to read through all this and find some way to respond. LOL
"What will we do with it once it gives up its answers? One of us will kill it while Cyrnair is working the smithy or some other duty, and I will concoct some story about it dying of the strain of interrogation and magic or whatever."
Caradoc watches Ky'Lyera disrobe, wincing and biting his lip imagining the pain that caused such scars. He nods at the last moment before she looks away, his face full of understanding but not embarrassing her any further with pity she doesn't want.
He follows her and, once she stops slumped against the tree, he sits down on the ground and stretches out his little legs -- close enough to be heard but far enough away to give her her privacy while she listens. "But you asked me two questions. I beg of you, please let me answer them both. If my answers do not suit, I will not press you to stay or to annoy you with my foolish prattling any further.
"'What is your problem?' you asked me. Here it is: you think you know everything there is to know about people and about the world. That's what you have in common with my arrogant friend in there. The difference is, you kill what you think you understand, and he tries to convert what he knows he doesn't.
"You're right - it wasn't fortune that kept you alive in there - it was my killer instinct and that arrogant boy's courage. He has been out in the world less than two years - he is terrified of his own strength and his responsibilities and of failing his companions and of failing the MorningLord - who, yes, burns like the fires of righteousness but who also sheds his life-giving power on the just and the unjust alike.
"Yes, he disagrees with our moral philosophies or whatever... and yes, he is arrogant and extreme in his argumentation. But when we went from words to weapons, ask yourself Where He Was. Think a moment, I beg you. He put his life between you and our enemies, and if he had fallen? With his last breath, he would have asked your forgiveness for failing you."
The halfling takes a deep breath and runs his dirty, blood-stained fingers through his tousled curls without a thought. "You misunderstand the boy, Ky'Lyera. He's not scarred like us, but he doesn't have to think like us to be our companion. But you asked - so that's my answer. You act like you know everything about the world - including everything you need to know about me and mine, But you don't."
Another long sigh.
"There's a place for you here. Not here in these hills but HERE, with these people. There is a place for Flint and for Ennis, and for you. If you want to be on your own, so be it. But don't blame the words of a terrified teenage paladin from another world, who spends every day trying to reconcile the filth and cruelty of this world with the pure light of the monastery he came from... don't blame him if you leave - you're too strong and powerful to be driven off by an ill-timed rant from someone who saved your life. We are hunting Viserai. Cyrnair, because she is the personification of everything he exists to fight. Me, because she took my friend and twisted his heart into that THING that rode out of there... that thing I'm going to have to kill. Gelin, because we're family now, I think - but who knows why dwarves and bards do what they do? Me, I've got no code. Wind blows northerly, I go north. I just want to be free to do... to BE... and I'll cut down those who would take that from others."
He gets up, brushes off his trousers, and turns back towards the hut. "Now I have to go deal with Cyrnair. Just think about sticking around, okay? And be sure to say goodbye before you go. I'm sorry I lost my temper earlier. Please... stay."
He passes Ennis as the wizard goes towards Ky, and the rogue whispers, "I'm sorry," up to him before storming back into the hut.

Caradoc makes his wild-haired, red-eyed way back into Gelin and Ennis' Midsize Hut as Cyrnair settles down to sleep, and the halfling plants a good kick in the ribs of the big aasimar while he's laying down.

Gelin claps the cleric on the back (to the best of his ability to do so), "Dunno what that lot is all arguin' about. We just lived through downin' a dragon, in my book that call for celebration."Gelin holds his mug up to Flint to cheers the occasion, doing his best to ignore the argument.
As Caradoc addresses him, Gelin simply raises his mug to the halfling. "Best not to think to much about it... They'll come around eventually. You know Cyrnair after all... he's a little... pent up if ya catch meh drift."
Able to see that Ky'Lera had essentially disrobed outside the hut, Flint hops up from his seat. Before he exits he offers a few words to the paladin. "To call her selfish isn't really fair, my friend. You realize that the duty that she has chosen puts her on the front lines of a greater conflict than that of the day to day lives of simple townfolk? She keeps creatures at bay from the outer planes so that they don't have a chance to roam free on this plane - I know this first hand as this is how she found my village as the fire and earth planes had converged there. Also, she let you know from the start that she was looking for treasure."
He pauses to take a nip from his bottle, then hands it to the Gelin. "Save some for me, please."
"You know, there are as many paths to victory as there are phases of the moon." the cleric continues back to Cyrnair, "Sometimes the bright light of the full moon will guide our actions. Other times the dark of the new moon is the better course or one of the degrees in between." He emits a long sigh, "I'm sorry, but you seem unwilling to change your ways, or least entertain the ways of others, perhaps it is best not to demand that of anyone else either, huh? Take your own advice and maybe try to learn from her - she has almost lived five or your lifetimes. "
Flint passes Caradoc on his way out, and rolls his eyes at the situation. ("Mom and Dad are fighting again, and the kids have to be the adults again.")
The goliath puts his cloak around Ky'Lera's shoulders and plops down on the ground next to her. His chain armor rattling loudly as he does so. "Quite the first adventure, eh?" He rubs his head with a gloved hand and searches for more to say, but instead stays quiet, and provides a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen to her concerns.
Ky gets up and follows Carodoc out, leaving the rest of the party and the gold behind.
"What is your problem? I was defending myself. Your friend flat out just told me that if I dont get behind his belief system to leave. And I am thankful you killed so many. "You're going to go after this Visarai person...alone?"
Ennis stops and shakes his head then adjusts his glasses again.
"That seems like the height of foolishness if you really intend to kill her..."
At the mention fo Visarai Cyrnair opens his eyes and pays attention again
" No, she is going after some kind of elemental portal as she said... we are the ones going after Visarai for stopping her and rescue our friend."
PbP Character: A few ;)
OOC: Frandal, you realize that Ennis left the dome to follow after Ky, right? Who exactly is Cyrnair supposed to be talking to?
OOC: so ky just flashed everyone???? Oh boy lol... good thing she does not know that.

Ennis Messages Ky as he follows after her.
"Please hold a moment, I'd like to talk without rushing."
Ky will go another 30 feet, and slump against a tree, away from everyone out of view.
Ennis slowly approaches Ky, close enough to converse but still keeping a respectful distance. He waits there for some time, then takes a seat leaning against the opposite side of the tree, his wand gently waving in his hand almost absentmindedly.
