"How many enemies did you see in your vision, Cyrnair?" Caradoc waits for Cyrnair's response.
"How many of us do you see?"
"Now, you carry yourself as if you've led troops in a war, Ky'Lyera. Considering our recent performance, where we needed help to eliminate twenty zealots in one little keep, how would your warrior training and experience gauge our chances at winning this war y'all are aiming us at?"
Caradoc stares at Ennis, hoping the wizard will have additional concerns to voice about the suicide mission being described.

"I don't think we are strong enough as we are. But if there is an artifact in the temple that the Morning Lord is directing us to get... it must be powerful. Why else would an army be attacking it in his vision?" Ky thinks for awhile.
"I have to go... I know it could be death. But my sworn duty is to deal with Planar issues. And if Visarai is there... well even more reason to go. But you are right."
Seeming to get lost in her memories for a moment, she shudders. "Last time I led a troop like this, they all died because they were unorganized. I think in this case, we need to get in and get back out before they know we are there... a mission more up your alley really Carodoc."
Looking to the rest of the group she says, "Perhaps we will get more information along the way?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"What in the...!"Flint awakes with the medallion on his chest flares with the light of the moon. He jumps out and steps outside joining the other two. "Hmm... This is concerning." His face shows no emotion as he watches the moon becomes wreathed in green and washed in crimson. He almost growls as the sound enters his mind. His breath quickened, "Yes. This is not good."
"North? How far north are we going? Also, hordes of orcs and goblins, and this Visarai, who is a goddess on the rise?" The goliath shakes his head, "Listen to your halfling friend here, Cyrnair. We ran into the dragon's liar quickly and just managed to escape with the help of that thing we left back there." He rubs his bald head as he considers everything. "I will help, knowing Lera has an issue with this one. But we need to be smart and not just run headfirst into battle with a goddess. If this looks to be greater than ourselves, well..." He then turns to Cyrnair and Ky'Lera to check if they get his meaning. "The two of you need to realize that there may be not much we can do right now."
He then looks to Cyrnair and can't help but the chuckle. "I believe you were just saying something about not making things personal, hmm....?"
"Maybe that infernal friend of theirs can shed some light on all this,"he says at Ky'Lera's mention of obtaining information."She appeared to have much to say on this matter when I arrived. We are only less than a day from Gundren's."
Ennis looks quietly thoughtful as he listens both to Cyrnair's plea and the subsequent conversation about it. He removes his glasses, wipes them off with his robe, then replaces them before looking back up to give his thoughts to the group.
"Planar anomalies? A horde of both orcs and goblinoids, who usually battle with each other more viciously than they do with more civilized folk, marching under the banner of an aspiring goddess who seeks to remake the world in shadow? Visions from the gods telling of some holy weapon?" He pauses with a sigh and a shake of his head. "It would seem Master Baulder was right when he said we were heading for interesting times."
He looks up with a firm seriousness in his eyes.
"I personally don't like it. There are too many factors and factions involved. How big is this army that Visarai apparently commands, and where did she get it from? What was the nature of the planar disturbance that Ky felt? What remains of Cyrnair's monastery, and how much time does it have left?" He shakes his head again. "We don't have enough information, yet there is need to act immediately. I guess that's to be expected where the gods are concerned, but it's still frustrating." He looks to Flint. "My head tells me to agree with Flint, that we need to at least resupply back in Phan...sorry, Gundren's Calling, and possibly get more information from your tiefling friend." Then he turns to Cyrnair. "Yet my heart tells me that doing so would likely cost us any chance of reaching the monastery, and with it this weapon that the Morning Lord deems so important."
He pinches his brow nervously before looking finally to the group as a whole.
“ I hear you and I can’t agree more with all of you. But despite the urgency of the vision I wouldn’t rush into a suicide mission. There were... a lot of enemies but, the monastery is literally buried under the mountain. I think that most probably Visarai thinks that she has destroyed it. I think that the plan is going there as fast as we can, for I, like Ennis said, believe that the time runs thin for the people at the monastery. Once there we gather as many intel as we can, also along the way if possible, and try to reach the monastery unnoticed and free the people there and find the Sword of the Dawnfather. If she has left some minions digging the rubble to recover the sword, then we are also in a hurry, for there is no time to lose until they reach it. “
He thinks for a moment.
“Also, maybe Frix could help us with more information but, if my memory doesn’t fail me she left Grundens Calling to join her patron on the Feywild, doesn't she?
” Yes Morgan did, but didn’t Frixori had to go too? Anyway I feel that we don’t have the time to go back to Grundens and then head to Neverwinter and the monastery. “ he calls for his mount wich came peacefully towards him, and feeling his rider discomfort, rubs his head against the paladin shoulder.
( Totally my fault not Cyrnair’s. I have in my notes that both of them went to the Feywild with their patrons to assume their “chosen” destinies)
Caradoc listens, thinking and calculating. He scratches his chin and frowns, then shrugs and muses aloud, "Cyrnair... Tell me about your gallant steed here. If you command him, could he take a message back to Gundren's Calling, and then bring Frixori to meet us on the way towards Neverwinter?
"If Viserai knows of this 'Sword of the Dawnfather', every minute counts. We have a better ranger than Baryeras ever was, so supplies are no concern - except for arrows. Do you have enough arrows, Ky? You did a lot of shooting yesterday. Was Domavi or Barda working on anything pressing that we might need?"

So forgive me for meta gaming here, but Devon said it was kinda only a little Meta because Ky literally was a nobility in the Feywild. I talked to him about this idea because we have already been in the feywild in our game.
"I may have a solution... to Frixori... to Morgan... to getting there quickly..."
Looking nervous she says, "but it is really dangerous... there is a portal to the Feywild... now the shadowfell... in Gundrens calling in the well. I can... open it. Time passes slower in the shadowfell." We could tease it there and cover the distance much faster."
"So...you're suggesting we use the Shadowfell as a kind of temporal shortcut?"
He shakes his head at the thought, not to deny it but merely at the sheer incredulity of the idea. Yet he does ponder it, a thoughtful look on his face.
"When you say 'time passes slower in the Shadowfell,' are you sure you don't mean it passes more quickly? If it is indeed slower, then we'd cover less distance in the same amount of time relative to our own plane, not more as you seem to be suggesting."
Looking to Carodoc Ky says, "My haversack has about 400 more arrows. I fired off a dozen or so yesterday, so I should be good for a long trek anyway. With the bag Ennis has now, and what I can scrounge up we should be covered on food as well. Though with it being winter in the feywild... not much will be tasty or available... either way... food is covered. If anyone else needs anything, if we take my way it will be a bit before we get there, but in the prime plane time will run by slower."
Looking to Ennis, she says, "i expressed myself poorly... OOC: quote from DM: "Time in the feywild moves based on the need of the people that inhabit it. Sometimes when there is peace on the prime plane, time stretches out and slows down. A year in the Prime plane ban be a month in the Feywild. The activities of the Prime Plane directly effect how the seasons of the Feywild act. There is a small cavity to this. The needs of a group of people... fate touched, key characters in history, powerful entities, or those native to that plane have a small control over how time flows to varying degrees. Depending on the NEED, time may flow differently.... time is abstract in the feywild."

Caradoc stares at all the magical bags laying around... from her haversack to Cyrnair's coinpouch to Ennis' bag.
Then he shakes his head and focused on the task at hand. "Do we care at all that we have no idea how this whole 'last leaf of Autumn' falling has affected this Feywild or Shadowfell or whatever-you-call-it? We think we have an idea from ancient myths, but do we really? Things are getting crazier by the minute here - do we really want to risk going somewhere that was known for crazy BEFORE all this upheaval?"

"Once again Caradoc speaks with common sense. Your idea is good Ky, and tempting, but what if we go to Gundrens and we find that we cannot cross the portal? We would have wastes one entire day... it's too risky I think"
"No, it's not that - if Ky says she can get us there, she can get us there."
"It's this -- from what Morgan has told me and from what we've experienced with it bleeding over here, it's basically Nightmare-ville over there on a GOOD day... how much worse has it gotten now? Remember that I'm just a sneaky half-pint with a couple of pigstickers... I don't have wings or magic wands or a goddess holding me in her hand... I have to think practical-like."
