OOC: Sorry babe... Drink coffee before posting next time lol;)
Cyrnair burns with divine light and swings 2 times but to no avail. The Troll catches both swings with its claws, and is able to parry the attacks (still burning blade... the spell is still going).
Ky releases 2 shots on the creature that she had already hunters marked, and the bolts slam into it (who ever says rangers are the weakest class is nuts lol) the creature staggers, looking hurt.
OOC: The problem is that ranger damage output does not significantly increase from this point
Caradoc dive-rolls between the troll's legs as it reaches out with its nasty claws to rake at the wizard. Coming up behind both trolls, he hops up on the trunk of the fallen tree and calls out, "Why stab it in the leg when I can gash it in the guts???"
Kris Shortsword Attack on Tr1: 18 Damage: 21
With his other hand, he tugs a flask of oil out of his pack (OOC: if that operates on the same basic idea as reaching for a healing potion).
Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid,Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions! I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
OOC 1: I agree, but in 2 turns, she has dealt 50+ damage lol. With haste (level9) that will bump up, and with her bamph ability she will get another attack, and another 1d8 for planar warrior (level11). She said she was gonna sub into fighter or rogue as well, for 8 levels, so that is more damage lol....
OOC2: Carodoc can pull out a flask as a bonus action, but not use it. That would be an action to "attack it with Oil". I will say as an "attack" though, i would allow the offhand attack with the dagger on your next turn.
Carodoc slides his dagger into Troll 2 and slices a deep cut into its thigh. Blood pours out in a gout and Troll 2 is looking really hurt.
Troll 3 now furious with the little creature with the poking blades lashes out trying to squash the rogue. Since he has taken no damage, nothing else seems to happen for it.
Claws 1: Attack: 22 Damage: 7
Claws 2: Attack: 19 Damage: 14
Bite: Attack: 13 Damage: 7
Troll 2 will attack Cyrnair, the largest and most "meaty" target that is is close to.
Caradoc picks up on the troll's aggravation at the rogue's mobility as it rakes angrily at him. Its filthy claws carve into his armor and the halfling laughs. "Thought a TROLL would hit harder than -- oh crap!" he squeals as he realizes the first attack is a feint baiting him into opening up for the second, more powerful move. With a lucky twist and a dazzling tiptoe on the balance beam of the tree trunk, Caradoc manages to dodge just in time to make the mighty rake more of a glancing slash.
OOC: Uncanny Dodge - 14 total damage marked off.

"Stand strong, Cyrnair!" Flint shouts from the back as the paladin takes three brutal hits from the troll. He holds his shield up to the heavens and petitions his goddess. "Artemis! Please restore your hunters!" A silvery beam of radiant energy swirls around Cyrnair, restoring much of the damage just dealt to him by the troll. The cleric then bolsters the paladin again,"Renew!"
Action: Channel Divinity - Preserve Life, 16 HP for Cyrnair
Bonus Action: Healing Word, 11
Question still remains if I can heal up to 1/2 of someone's max HP, or heal an amount equal to 1/2 someone's max HP. If the later, then the CD would be for a full 25HP.
Spurring his horse to keep its distance from all three of the trolls, Ennis casts another Scorching Ray, this time aiming one bolt at each of the three trolls.
Troll 1, feeling weak and vulnerable, seeing the fire streak towards him is JUST able to dodge out of the way.
Troll 2 takes a burst of flames across its chest and it roars in pain and fear as flame hits it. Though it has taken damage, it is still looking like it is in the fight.
Troll 3 takes one of the thin bands of fire across the forearm. Though it shows signs of fear from the fire, it looks more like anger then anything else.
The paladin, bleeding profusely from the many wounds inflicted by the two trolls, swings his sword while concentrates for a second and heals his wounds.
(Attack: 20 Damage: 5 plus 5 fire plus 14 radiant damage on a hit.
He will go for Troll 1 since its the last that hit him. He will forfeit the second attack to use lay on hands on himself and heal 14 HP so he is back to 50 HP
Edit A hit!! The troll is on fire! CON ST vs 16 or take 1d6 additional fire damage at the start of its turn. )

Bad news bro -- you took 10 more damage here so it's gonna take 24 to get you back to 50 :(

OOC: Yay! You are level 5 now, so you can heal yourself as part of your attack action now (Special homebrew rule. As long as he heals himself, he can use it as an attack within the attack action.) Cyrnair, how did you do 3d8 for smite? Even without it, it does not matter. It had 18 HP left and it was on fire, but I was curious.
Cyrnair concentrates and his body flares with divine light. Radiant flames lick out of his wounds, and an almost steam like energy flows into the air. Channeling that power into his blade, fire bursts from his blade. The troll, already weak, starts to turn and run in fear. Cyrnair, in a quick twist of his blade thrusts it into the fleaing Trolls spine. The troll immediattely catches alight, flames bursting around the wound. Flames gout from its mouth, eyes, ears and nose, and it almost instantly turns to ash around the blade.
As Ky moves her Hunters Mark over to Troll 2 and releases her first arrow, it catches the recently burned creature in the throat. As the arrow sinks in, the burn mark across the trolls body spreads rapidly. In an instant it turns into a charcoal lump, shaped much like a troll, if it was a sculpture of wood that had been consumed by intense flames.
Moving your 2nd shot to Troll 3. It hits the Troll but not as much as you hoped. You realize that the Hunters Mark additional damage did not happen because you did not get to move it over.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Caradoc leaps onto the back of the falling troll and rushes its companion, yanking the cork out of the clay flask of oil with his teeth. With three quick flicks of his wrist, he sloshes the contents out at the remaining hideous wretch - hoping to impress Gelin with his panache and get another couplet in the dwarf's great epic.
10 (rolling to hit with the oil as an improvised weapon, using Bardic Inspiration)
"Light him up!" Caradoc cries out with glee as the troll is doused with a pint of highly flammable liquid.
(OOC: The spoiler is for if Caradoc gets to use the dagger off-hand attack this round - if I misunderstood the last post about attacking with the oil, then just count it on my next round, if I stay up that long)

Carodoc splashes the Troll with a thick, viscous oil. The troll seems unperturbed by it, but is slightly distracted. Carodoc uses that to his advantage, and sinks his dagger deeply into the trolls gut. With a violent twist, he yanks it free, dealing a serious amount of damage to the Troll.
With that amount of pain just dealt, and seeing its 2 brothers be incinerated, it will realize that this was a bad group to ambush and use its action to disengage, and then flee 30 feet to the west.
(No AoO since it disengaged in utter terror.)
Flint, Ennis, Gelin and Cyrnair are all up. (I will update the map)

Troll 1 slashes out in a raging Frenzy, attack both Carodoc and the Paladin.
This troll does have some of its wounds seal back up. It does look hurt, but not as badly.
Ennis, Gelin, and Cyrnair are up.
Spurring his horse to keep its distance from all three of the trolls, Ennis casts another Scorching Ray, this time aiming one bolt at each of the three trolls.
To clarify, let's just say that each ray targets the troll of the same number, so 1 targets T1, etc.
Additional 5 Fire damage on the ray that crit.

Burned a 2nd lvl spell slot as previous round. Sorry didn’t specify it this time..
Because.. its a bonus of 2d8 plus 1d8 per slot level above 1, right?
PbP Character: A few ;)
You are correct Cyrnair. Sorry about that. I did not realize you dropped a 2nd level smite. Didnt matter though lol =)
Gelin again focuses as his eyes turn black, he whispers,
"Perhaps you didn't can't my meaning. A little more power this time, perhaps."
Casting Dissonant Whispers (level 3) on Troll 2. 18 DC15 Wis to save.
Turning to Cyrnair,
It seems these trolls have blocked our path
Now show these beasts your holy wrath
Bardic inspiration for Cyrnair (d8)

With 16, the troll is still to much in a blood lust to be effected by the spell.
Moving her Hunters Mark to Troll 2, and starts unloading on that one. "We got 1 down!"
