“Looks like we’re going to walk it to Hulil’s.” Roxaria comments after a futile search for affordable steeds. She watches Trem run off stating he will meet up later, “Wonder where he’s off to in such a hurry?”
She considers how much light is probably left in the day and the time they might spend at the temple for Reginald.
“Well, we know it is about a day’s worth of traveling to the cave. We can spend another evening at the Jolly Dwarf and set out first thing in the morning, or we can head out this afternoon and make camp. If we do the latter, we ought to consider overnight supplies such as rations and shelter.”
She mulls the options over with the party as they head to the temple and meet up with Reginald.
Vauthok rumbles along beside Kha and Roxaria towards the temple to meet back up with their gnome friend. While staying in the comfort of the inn once more was much more desirable, there’s was nothing to say that they hadn’t already missed their chance to interrogate Hulil. It was fairly obvious that this freezing affliction didn’t take its time with spreading and consuming it’s victim. They were wasting time they may not have even had.
“I am no leader or strategist, but if we wait around much longer we may find another frozen corpse when we show up.” Vauthok nods to himself. “I say we gather supplies and leave as soon as possible..”
“Supplies it is. I have about 6 gold and some silver overall. While Reginald is getting questions answered at the temple, I’ll run to Groaning Canvas and get some supplies. If I cam afford several tents, I’ll try to get them to save us a trip so we can leave for Hulil’s after the temple.”
Roxaria makes her way to the Groaning Canvas. She looks for the following items: 2 tents, a blanket and bedroll, a tinderbox, rations and a cast iron skillet.
"I will give you a hand with the supplies... It's better standing around here."Kha offers and follows along behind Roxaria.
"Probably should make that three tents." Kha says to the shopkeeper, and then turns to Roxiara. "I think Vauthok and me might be a bit big to to share."
Wrenith calculates with her abacus "15 silver for 3 tents, 1 gold for bedroll and blanket, 5 silver for the tinderbox, 2 silver for the mess kit and cast iron skillet, and 5 silver for rations. The total comes out to 3 gold pieces and 7 silver pieces."
Roxaria counts out the coin and holds up the skillet to Kha. “If I can bag some snow hares or eggs in the morning, I’ll cook us up something good to liven up these rations.”
Reginald softly walks up to the priestess and clears his throat softly "Pardon me, Priestess, might I have a moment of your time? I'm part of the group brought together by Elro Aldatar that is investigating the occurrences around Urgon Wenth and Tulgi Latan."
"Yes, I was wondering if Mister Wenth came to your services and if so when was the last time he did? Did you know what happened to him before the funeral?" the gnome replies.
Priestess Arelia sighs. "Yes I tended to him as best I could. Unfortunately none of my healing could stave off that affliction. The best I can do was to make him as comfortable as possible before the end. I last saw him a few days before his death. I know not what could the cause be to this freezing illness."
Reginald asks, "Someone mentioned to me a possible alchemical cause, did that cross your mind and you determined that was not it? The reason I ask is just to make sure of all the possibilities." Looking a bit dismayed, the wizard presses on, "There is a third person that is currently suffering from the affliction. I must leave tonight, hoping that I might be able to help them... or at least have a better understanding of what was causing it."
Arelia says "Yes I noticed this illness has a connection with alchemy. It is far beyond my skill with my herbal knowledge. I am sorry, that is all I know"
Reginald brightens a bit at the dwarf's last comment. "So, confirmation of alchemy... thank you so much! That means we are on the right trail with this mystery." Reginald bows deeply towards the priestess, "I must go and meet my fellows and head on out to see if the third person can be cured of the ailment she has. I bid you a good afternoon!"
With that, the wizard heads on out, back to the inn to inform the others of the results of his investigation and to prepare to leave.

(Its currently early afternoon. Shelter and rations can be purchased at the Groaning Canvas.)

Trem agrees with Vauthok. Besides, he has his own reasons to see Hulil before it's too late. But he isn't sharing that just yet.

The priestess closes her book and steps down from the lectern. "Are you in need of my services?"
