 The party decimate the final conscious spider.

They then gather round and hack apart the sleeping spider before it can wake and attack.

Combat Ended

 Thomas gets out his healers kit and gets to work.

 Anders takes out his Lute and plays a song of rest while they all recover.

 "Can I suggest that if we are to use Elandra as a meat shield we buy her some armour."

 "No arguments from me on that one." she laughs as Thomas binds her wounds.

 Toot settles down to meditate using her Arcane Recovery.

As they take a short rest the group explore the room they are in.

 Ritual casts detect magic, but finds nothing of interest.

 Investigation 17

 Feldoran check the room for treasure, traps and secret passages. He also gives all the exits a once over.

 "Let is be cautious as we proceed."

Their rest over, the group start to explore the exits.

East Upper Barracks

Feldoran opens the north east door and peeks inside.

The room has been trashed, leaving behind wrecked cots, chairs, tables, and other furnishings. A blackened fireplace is set into the east wall, its chimney being similar to the one through which they had entered.

There is another door to the south. Feldoran investigates the room before calling the others to follow. 

Investigation 5

He finds nothing unusual or of value.

 Toot ritual casts her floating disk and hovers in behind the group.

Narrow Tunnel (Upper)

Feldoran tries the southern door. It leads to a small empty room with what looks like a tunnel burrowed into the southern wall.

 "I wonder what made that hole?"

 "I'd bet nothing good."

 "I could send Simon down to take a look."

 Simon shakes his head and blows a raspberry.

 "No. Let us clear the upper floor before we descend."

 During this conversation, Anders quietly casts unseen servant.
