Tetrevess examines the body of the dragon, looking for any items of interest or value, and looks into the hole. He will Help Sam with selecting the best scales for armor, using his arcane knowledge of dragon anatomy. “Perhaps Sam, your leviathan friend here might be of use for us - it’s a powerful companion, thank you- this battle was close…” The wizard is badly hurt, he does heal himself with healing word for 9 HP.
Eek. Well, that's going to play out however it does.
What else are you guys doing? Just point to a map area or something. There's more to explore than just an entrance door, otherwise I would just say you find the door.
(quick point of order: Angus had retreated 30 feet southward in post 1815 but it probably would make no difference, as the dragon could simply aim the cone differently and still catch both of them)
CON Save 9
Himself wounded by the dragon's caustic breath, Angus limps over to Tetrevess, and with his permission will lay hands on him for 20 hp of healing. He will then move southward to the dome-shaped outcropping. The circular shape looks unnatural to him, and bears investigation.
I completely missed the 30ft retreat. I only saw the action. in that case, Angus' torch would still be lit.
Sam notices something odd about the hole in the ground behind where the dragon first stood when it ate the man who summoned it. The Space inside doesn't match the rocky shore in which it is dug. its as if the space inside the hole were somewhere else entirely.
<not trying to be too cryptic. It's a portable hole. You can just take it. I have to look up monster loot, but you get some bits. I'll let you know tomorrow. I owe you a description of what else is around. I'll get it for you when I can.>
So, if Sam was to walk along the shore, the tower to his right, he'd see a door in the wall of the cliff to his right, followed by another, similarly recessed door just after rhe first. In the distance where the shoreline ends and the ckodf before hum reaches the lake, an entrance stands at the topnof a flight if stairs. Above it, in Draconic, the word "Inquest".
The area is 20 feet long and 10 feet wide. The wall on the left side is curved and has five narrow alcoves, each 5 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 8 feet tall.
Lighting. Complete darkness.
Smells. A rotting smell wafts from the alcoves.
Stone Door. A thick stone door with a large green crystal embedded in it stands at the south wall, 5 feet away from the stairs at the entrance.
Given light sources and darkvision, you'd figure out that there are 5 areas spread out befire you that remain dark, despite your toech and dagger and darkvision. Magical darkness covers these areas.
Let me know if you have a means to penetrate the magical darkness. Alternatively, if you whter one of the alcoves you can make a DC15 investigation check to see what's there.
Tetrevess helps Sam out of the portable hole and we take it for the group, with the contents. He translates the sign- but doesn’t understand it any more than anyone else. “Prepare for undead, I suppose.” He says.

Leviathan looks at sam, tilts ots head slightly, lets out a roar like Godzilla and disappeara into the lake.
Sam make a survival check to see what you can harvest.

Sam will move towards the hole “this doesn’t look natural you lot” Sam will hop into the portal
(Uh... I think Sam just hopped into a portable hole. Does he need help getting back out?)
That's really it from here. You git 3 doors. 2 unmarked. One with stairs says "Inquest"
"Can anyone read this? Looks like it might be Draconic. I think we should try this door first."
I just assumed someone could read draconic. One DnD seems like jt would be more rare. Anyway...
Tetrevess can read Draconic.
