Calvin looks over in the direction of the voice and sees a woman dressed in armour. He hesitates but is ready to transform if the need should arise. However, he doesn't want to provoke the woman into a fight.
The woman looks amicable enough. Although you can't be sure, her attention is on Zale.
"Scaring up game to hunt. Figured everyone could do with some extra meat after a fight like we put up at Greenest." Kriv gestures towards Eek. "Told the little man he'd get an extra share of meat if he helps."
Heh, go figure. It almost seems that us mercs have to arrange everything here!
A little worried she adds:
Say, were you amongst the latecomers? I'm waiting for... my significant other... Maybe you've seen someone on the road? He always takes it easy with his lazy ass!
Zale mentality slaps herself for being so oblivious, however she recovers quickly and picks up where Kriv left off.
“Yeah, though I be questioning if it was the best choice now.” She glances at Eek, hoping he just plays along. “These kobolds, they seem to like trying to take on more than is necessary.”
She looks back at the woman, “Nah, we didn’t cross paths with anyone on our way here. Though from the way you speak, he might be even later than us.”
She pauses for a moment, she can only assume her husband was one of the men they had ambushed, she just hoped he was the one they sent off with the kobolds.

Ha! You sound just like Wesley! Well, I hope he didn't do anything stupid. When he gets here I'll kick his dragon loving ass and make him leave this stupid cult. They don't even pay that well, right?

Eek sees an opening.
That reminds Eek! Here are those earrings Q... er... Zale requested.
He goes through his bag and finds the 2 earrings he wanted to give you earlier. In his open hand you see the 2 red earrings.
(OH No we murdered her husband! :O Oooo I wasn't expecting backlash from that. Now I feel kinda bad since she wants to leave the cult. lol Hopefully she doesn't find out!)
Zale feels a stab of guilt as she realizes that they strait up murdered this woman's husband. However, she keeps up her act. She replies in a whisper, "I don't think it be a good idea to be speaking like that so loudly, you never know who might hear you."
Insight to see if she is sincere in what she said: 15
When Eek butts in, Zale once again has to keep herself from facepalming. "Ahhhhh! Fantastic!" She says though a fake smile as she takes them, "Though I don't think I specified what kind of loot I wanted." She glances at the woman, giving her a see what I mean look before pocketing the earrings.
The woman has a surprised look on her face. (Zale: she appears to be sincere)
You must be new to the whole mercenary business! Mercs don't desert, they get better contracts. Gotta let your employer know that they should pay you properly. Besides, what are they going to do? Almost half this camp's mercs. Anyway, my band is going to Beregost once Wesley is back. Find us if you want to join. Name's Anne, and my company is called "Company of the Prince".
Eek presses on: Isn't Zale going to try them on?
Zale your passive Investigation is high enough to notice something is off with them.
Zale gives her a surprised look back, "I had no idea. Honestly, we've just been playing it safe with this lot. With just the four of us, and with us bein' new and all, It's been a bit hard to keep a job. Heh, I suppose we shouldn't let 'em push us around anymore. Should probably either form or join our own Company."
She eyes Eek and then looks at the earrings for a moment. She could tell there was something off, but wanted to know what exactly it was. "Bloody kobold's probably trying to put some kinda spell on me." She thinks to herself as she examines them.
Investigation: 12
Arcana if needed: 5
With no intention of ever putting them on, she says to Eek, "I be working right now. And I don't make it a practice to flaunt my loot to my coworkers." With that, she puts them in her satchel.
"Thanks!" Zale calls after her before turning to the group.
"The monk is right, unless there are any objections, let's get this plan moving."
She turns to Eek, "Leosin is going with you, his life, and the life of all the prisoners, are in your hands. Stay open to listening to Leosin's ideas if you find yourself in rough waters. If you manage to get out undetected, let Leosin lead them back, with a few kobolds under his command, to the town. Then, you and the rest of the kobolds should come back."
She looks back at the group, "I say we should wait until a short while after they leave before we try to hit the nursery."
Once she knows for sure that Eek is gone, Zale pulls the earrings back out and shows them to Eric, "Can you tell what kind of spell is on these? I don't know if I should hang on to them or not..."

Eric looks toward her, observing, but he says nothing. just let see what kind of intentions they have, Eric thinks
Zeminny find a spot where he won’t draw any attention from the fighter coming our way. Stealth 18
Zale hears a voice from behind her: And what part might that be?
Eric, you think it's very funny. A woman in armor sneaking up on a rogue.
The woman doesn't notice you.

Zale, you've dealed with magical items before. These earrings are clearly magical. However, you have no idea what they are capable of.
