In the meanwhile, Eric inspect the walls of the cave. He wants to gather some informations about the nature of the cave (is a natural cave or it has been shaped by handwork and if so, which minerals could hide and how it has been made)

From what you can tell (from the outside) there are hints of handwork. You remember that in past stone from this area was used, but is was too far to be profitable. Sometimes gems were found. The many Kobolds living in the area probably have found what few gems remained.
(Sorry, a busy couple of days with travelling and Halloween weekend. Calvin would have transformed himself into a lizard and either gone with Nixi or explored the camp by himself.)

(Sorry sorry... somehow missed this thread in my daily updates... Hm, well, 10 hrs, eh? I guess Nixi would not have made a thorough search, more of a cursory one. Would that have used up the hour of invisibility? If so, then she would not have entered the cave solo if she were visible. Sorry about the confusion. And the lateness.)
I'd say that after half an hour Nixi would have figured out that she would be wasting her invisibility if she searched any longer. So for the sake of brevity let's say you're all at the cave now, Calvin in lizard from and Nixi still inivisible.
The entrance to the cave is broad and tall, but the ceiling quickly lowers to a height of 15 feet. So 2 or 3 people can walk next to eachother. Can I have a marching order?
(Calvin could even be crawling along the sides of cave with his 20 ft climb speed. I assume that there would be sufficient handholds along a rocky wall? Unless, DM wants me to roll.)

Nixi (invisible) and Calvin (lizard) ahead of all, scouting (maybe about 20'? We prefer more? We prefer less?) and ready to run back and warn us in case of trouble.
Calvin has no problem crawling along the sides of cave. Actually the caverns are filled with faint sounds scrabbling lizards. You also hear dripping water, scratching rodents and wind moaning across the entrance.
With Calvin and Nixi in the lead, you enter the cave. After about 70 ft in (near the second pillar) Nixi sees is first: 2 Dragonclaws are hiding in a deeply shadowed alcove (area 2). Ready to ambush the party of for that's approaching (or so they think). Calvin notices it a few seconds later. Both Nixi and Calvin are not noticed by the Dragonclaws.
Seeing the two dragonclaws hiding in the shadows he stops in his tracks. He then quickly makes his way back to the others and attempts to warn them by spinning around in circles.

((Before you enter the cave I need to know if Nixi has been there before you.))

(No problem. Good thing lizards have darkvision (30 ft I believe). Now we just have to wait to know if Nixi (and Calvin?) was in the cave.)

Khessa, since she is probably one of the better armored, offers to stay in the front line.
Eric may stay on her side, and the light armored fellows could stay behind
Nixi is fine to scout ahead as long as her invisibility holds, when it is over, she will move to the rear of the party.
I think same sentence could be applied to our lizard friend....

So, to summarize, is this OK?
Nixi (invisible) and Calvin (lizard) ahead of all, scouting (maybe about 20'? We prefer more? We prefer less?) and ready to run back and warn us in case of trouble.
Khessa and Eric front line.
Zale and Kriv second line.
This is our marching order? We go?
Fine for me
Sounds right to me
Yep.
Sounds good
