Calvin is a little disappointed with the fact that his mount is not a giant lizard of some sort but is simply just a horse. However, he simply shrugs his shoulders and climbs on. He then begin stroking the back of the horse to reassure him. Calvin then begins to draw on the natural energies around him and focuses them on to himself by tapping his forehead with his finger. He then utters the word, "Loqui"
He then leans forwards towards the horse and in a quiet voice he speaks to the horse, "You must be familiar with the areas around here, you wouldn't be aware of any creatures that are the size of a turkey, sort of looks like a lizard but has feathers?"
(Casts: Speak with animals)
If the horse is surprised at all, it doesn't show: Ooh Ooh I know this game! A fox? A wolf? No with feathers... Maybe a Cockatrice? They tend to stay out of the way.
As you leave the town of Greenest some people have gathered to wave and say goodbey. Mainly plebs, but Leera is also there. Also Stef and his mother Linan.
'Obviously mainly plebs...' she thinks, proud 'Who has a more open and generous heart than the common folk, these nameless silent heroes responsible, with their daily sweat, for the welfare of all, yet generally remembered and thanked by no one ? And look how warmly they greet even me, whom they didn't even know until a few days ago!'
With moistened blue eyes, the blonde arcane warrior dismounts from Zewna, temporarily ties her to a fence (near tufts of grass, so that the mare can enjoy the break while eating), greets by kissing and embracing all the villagers she has already got to know and says goodbye to them calling them by name and wishing them the best. To the few she doesn't know she introduces herself at the moment, shaking hands and then embracing them too.
To Linan and Steff: "I've had little time to get to know you, but you've been like a second family to me! Take care of yourselves, okay? Sooner or later I'll make sure to stop by Greenest to say hello! I'm going... but you have entered my heart by now, you are part of me, in a certain sense you will always be with me".
She kisses Steff on her cheek, admiringly extracting her personal arcane focus: "And someone will be with me in a very special way! Thanks for everything, Steff! There is no greater magic than love".
Untying Zewna and finally remounting with a leap, she addresses everyone, bowing on the saddle: "I salute the true heroes of Greenest... those who without training, without resources, often without even a 'thank you', resist the invasions , rebuild after raids, roll up their sleeves every day… and make life in Faerûn possible - and worthy to be lived in full! My companions and I are going to do what needs to be done… but you, every day of your life, are doing no less than that! Remember this always. HONOR TO YOU!" and finally, waving goodbye, she leaves, trying not to look back.
Because what she can still do for them, now, awaits her elsewhere. Beyond!
Stef tries his best not to cry. A loud roar of approval emmits from the gathered crowd. When you turn around one last time you notice that most of people are leaving. Stef is crying in his morther arms, the only one still watching is Leera.
"A cockatrice?" Calvin repeats questioningly. "No, that doesn't sound right. Then again, I don't remember what I'm thinking of is called."
Calvin shrugs his shoulders and sighs. As they ride past the gathered people whishing them well, Calvin takes a quick glance over the people's face. A lot had happened to these people lately, and there would still be much for them to do before Greenest could fully recover from the traumatic experiences. He wished them in their future. Although, he knew that he and his group of companions still had a long way to go before they could put a stop to the cult.
Then Calvin turns his attention back to the horse.
"So, what's you real name?"

It's Acorn, how polite of you to ask! What's yours?
Zale smiles and waves at the crowd but doesn't do much else, all she really wants is to get away from the area before the Kobolds come after her and to chase after this cult so she can avenge her family.
She rides up next to Kriv. "Honestly, I don't have a clue either. I just know we are followin that bloody cult."
Khessa answers both Kriv and Zale using information she knows: "The first stop on our journey is Elturel, capital of the realm of Elturgard, about 220 miles north of Greenest. With our horses it should take about 6 days. We should meet Leosin there and coordinate our next moves with him".
During the journey, the blonde arcane warrior keeps Anator leaning close to her neck most of the time, hidden by her thick locks of blond curls. Of course, Anator is free to enjoy a flight - or to telepathically chat with her - as often as he likes. When he is hidden on Khessa, Anator is tasked with keeping his senses alert (like any bat, he has Blindsight 60 ft) and telepathically alert the tall adventuress if he senses other creatures.

Nice to meet you Calvin. Oh I've been there a few times. We have to pass it if we go to Baldur's Gate.
You have already made a lot of progress and the atmosphere is good. Half way through the day it might be time to stop for a quick lunch (and give the animals some rest).
Meanwhile in Greenest: guard1: Hey, where are the Dragon eggs? guard2: I thought you had them? guard1: When I last saw them, the Kobolds took care of them. guard2: Then I'm sure it will be fine. guard1: Yes, I'm sure it will. Where are the Kobolds anyway?

During the break Khessa lets Zewna graze, wiping her sweat to better make sure the mare doesn't catch cold, then, while she distractedly eats dry rations, she starts studying her own spellbook (in the company of Nixi, if her gnome friend agrees) , reviewing the concepts she has already learned and leaving the mind free to grasp any implications that might have escaped her up to now.
When the mounts have rested enough, the blonde arcane warrior closes her grimoire, happy to have found some time again today to feed her mind as well as her body, and is ready to resume her journey.

No problem. Good to know.
During the trip Anator keeps you updated. So far he only notices some rabbits that run off when they notice you.
