Yeah, you've heard of them. You know it has somewhat of a histroy and here is some enmity between the Company of the Prince and some other mercs, but it's just another sellsword company to you.
"They are just mercenaries" comments Khessa. "They should mean no harm to us" and keeps riding. She greets them and wishes a good journey, as she gets nearer.
"They should not" the dwarf says "but I would keep our weapons close enough, you'll never know" he pauses "I would just let them to make the fist move, let's see what they are up to"
Zale looks very uncomfortable once she realizes who the approaching riders are. That's just wonderful, she escaped from the kobolds and now has to deal with the Company of the Prince. She quickly hides her feelings before the Company can see her expression. She had been hoping that they would never see these people again, but clearly that was to much to ask. Even after hiding her expression, she holds her horse back a bit to let Kriv take the lead, though she does not hold him back enough to fall to the back of the group. "Eye, they shouldn't have any quarrel with us." She nods Khessa. "As long as those Kobolds actually took care of the prisoner." She thinks bitterly, "As far as we know, they don't work for the cult anymore, but stay on guard anyway."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeminny will guide Oaf off road before the riders get too close, keeping Drizzle out of sight on the other side of the road in case these guys and up being bad guys.
Now distracted by the mention of the approaching mercenaries, Calvin's mind is focused on them, not basilisks.
"Unless someone in the cult hired them," Calvin quietly remarks. "Didn't we already encounter mercenaries working for them? We have no reason to believe that they are, but no reason to believe that they are not either.
Stay vigilant."

Anne (for Khassa and Nixi a an impressive female Human warrior) and her companion (looks like a male Human) slow down as she recognizes some of you. They don't notice Zeminny at all.
Anne: Kriv! Have you got him? Did you find Wesley's killer?
Ranger: Commander... I don't think they know...
Anne: Oh... right... I'm sorry, I'm a bit emotional... We've found Wesley's body. He was murdered. I've brought his remains back to... Anyway this bloke showed up and told me they've found Kurt. He a snake, but was always around Wesley. He might know more!
Ranger: I doubt it. He claimed he was taken prisoner by some Kobold king! Ha!
Khessa doesn't get too much from the conversation, except that Anne has known Kriv before and that they both knew an unfortunate 'Wesley' who was killed.
Displeased that a murder happened, she tells the mercenary: "Commander, I'm really sorry about this 'Wesley' you're talking about. Times are tough. Too easy to get killed... and to kill also. From the way you talk, it seems that you cared about this person. I wish you to be able to shed some light on what happened".
Eric puts his weapon away and waves Anne and her Ranger fellow "Your company is always an awesome sight, welcomed as a good auspice and so I'm sorry for your loss even more" he also joins Kriv speech "What brings you here then?"
Zale remains silent as the others converse with Anne and the Ranger. This is just great, they found the other guy? That guy knows exactly who the killers were, but will they believe him? It doesn't sound like they think to highly of him. But that guy can clearly give them the parties description. There's no way they wouldn't recognize a description of her either. She unconsciously reaches up to touch her scar.
Nixi looks at her friends and feels like there is an invisible oliphaunt in the room. What's happening here? she thinks to herself. Best tread carefully....
Anne seems a bit in hurry when she answers: Kurt only wanted to talk to me. That means he thinks his information is worth a lot of coin. Or that he's scared and needs my protection. And no, he's not a real snake.
'Now we will say goodbye and go our separate ways...' Khessa supposes 'Anne will go in search of the truth about the murder that she cares so much about and we will continue on our journey'.
And she expects at any moment for Eric and the others who know the woman to take their leave.
Eric waves Anne again and turns back to the road. When the two riders have done the same he'll whisper to Khessa and Nix "better get away from here for now, I'll explain you later"
Once Anne and company get far enough down the the road Zeminny and Drizzle will come out of hiding and say " Next time we see her we might want to assume it's going to be a battle. Hard to call it being murdered when your a merc working for evil dragon cult bent on world dominion.."
Zale glances back in Anne's direction, then looks forward again, "Ye do have a point there Zeminny. I agree with you." She still looks a bit troubled, but the halfling's words seem to have numbed it a bit. She'd been considering it a murder since she learned who the guy was, now she reconsiders. They were working for the cult, and at the time, her group did not know the Company of the Prince would have a falling out with them.

“I’m sorry to hear that, Anne.” Kriv glances towards Khessa, hoping she doesn’t reveal too much. “What will you be doing now?”
Eric puts his weapon away and waves Anne and her Ranger fellow "Your company is always an awesome sight, welcomed as a good auspice and so I'm sorry for your loss even more" he also joins Kriv speech "What brings you here then?"
Calvin tilts his head to the left, "He is a snake? Like an actual snake?"

Hastily Anne says goodbye and she and the ranger take off like the weather.
What did you guys do with petrified wolf btw?

( we left the wolf as far as I know)
