Calvin will look for any signs of wildlife as the boat travels, particularly lizards or other reptiles. If he spots anything of interest, he will ritual cast Speak with Animals to talk to the animal.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
If Khessa witnesses Calvin casting the Speak with Animals spell, she becomes interested and tries to discuss it with him, get him to explain the process and some details... all while taking notes in her spellbook.
The blonde arcane warrior realizes that this is probably a spell that is acquired more with closeness to nature than with study, but it is still an example of a possible use of the Weave - so she takes notes, both for the incredible curiosity that magic always usually arouses in her, both to identify any patterns and shreds of arcane information that can still be connected to what she already knows and, possibly, provide her with clues to follow to deepen her arcana knowledge and become a better wizard.
And when she sees Eric wandering around with curiosity, pretending to be an old sea-wolf, the tall adventuress (inexperienced as she is in navigation, boats, etc.) immediately believes him, looks at him in admiration and tries to talk to him, partly to deepen her seafaring knowledge, partly interested in how the cleric became an adventurer: "Did circumstances force you too, Eric, like in my case? Or it was a decision of yours? Or was it your god who gave you the inspiration to go out into the world - and eventually find yourself fighting against the Cult?"
Not many reptiles, it's almost like they tend to stay away from the ship. Most animals aren't fast enough to keep up with the Fist. Once in a while a bird lands on the bow. When Calvin speaks with them he finds out that they are mostely interested in fish and are disappointed that he doesn't have any.
On the moring of the 3rd day you arrive at Baldur's Gate's harbor.
"We could say so, my dear" answers the dwarf "I have reasons to believe that was the Cult that wiped out my village, pretty much like what happened in Greenest but with no people able to defend it. From that moment on I wandered in many lands" He pads the back of the tall warrior "but I finally found people with the strength and courage to fight back!" he laugh "and I am positive that along this way we'll find your family too"
Khessa is about to be moved when she hears that her dwarf friend has had to face a tragedy so similar to hers; she embraces it impulsively (perhaps to hide that moment of weakness?): "I really hate those who commit such atrocities! The common folk, with their seemingly so simple and humble daily activities, are the soul of this world - with their work they allow the world to exist and with their feelings they make it worthy of existing! What is the point of raging against them... Exterminating them... I, when those responsible for things like these come into my hands... I... That's why I hadn't thought twice, at the Cave, to have Mr Sponge thrown into the pit with the Drakes".
Only then does the blonde arcane warrior realize that she is still hugging Eric. Not that she dislikes it... solid as he is, in body and spirit, he always seems able to give her a feeling of calm and safety... 'But maybe I'm embarrassing him!'
Stealthily wiping the few tears from her blue eyes, the tall adventuress breaks the embrace, looks the dwarf cleric in the eyes and forces herself to smile: "I thank you for your words Eric! But I don't think I'll find my family yet, because the slavers who had captured us were drow and, as far as I know, have no connections to the Cult. But yes, I share your optimism. Before meeting you... you and the others, of course... I had no choice: alone, returning to the Underdark to free them would have been futile - and probably suicidal. Now that I can also count on the Harpers' help and the Order's, as soon as I can start searching again, I will finally be able to free them. We just have to liquidate this crazy and evil cult quickly! Right?" and this time she is laughing genuinely "What could be easier?"
The dwarf surpasses the initial embarrassment and hugs her back "don't worry" he says "things are moving well against the cult, we are getting more and more allies on our way, and I'm sure all of them will also help us to find your family" he turns his gaze to the harbor "never been in such a great city of men before. I hope someone of us having some experience of Baldur's Gate. Cause I'm starting feeling lost; Although we probably won't need to spend much time into the city iteself"

"I for sure don't!" Khessa bursts out laughing. "Twardens, the place I am from, was a remote tiny country village - nothing more than about five farms built not too far from each other on the top of a small, low, lone hill. I have a lot more experience with cabbages than with Baldur's Gate - or with cities in general. But you're right, we should only stay a little. Just long enough to find Ackyn Selebon and get help in getting hired as guards by the Cult..."
...On the moring of the 3rd day you arrive at Baldur's Gate's harbor.
"It's time to contact Ackyn Selebon, the human trader Onthar spoke of" Khessa tells to her companions, since Baldur's Gate is reached. "He operates an crew business in the Outer City north of the city wall, in a district called Blackgate... Ready to head there?"
And, unless somebody has something they want to do before, we go and look for Ackyn.
Contrary to her cheery attitude after the first night, the second day Zale looks kinda out of it. That night she hadn't gotten much sleep. She had almost fallen out of her hammock, as she flailed around gasping for breath.
She spends the last two days leaning against the railing and staring at the water. She is so distracted that she barely notices when they reach the port.
Calvin happily explains to Khessa that he can draw on the power of nature to talk to animals.
...
Khessa thanks Calvin and tries to repeat the same words and gestures to cast the spell - of course failing. Anyway she takes notes about the procedure and the effects.
From Khessa's spellbook:
... and I tried and tried with the words and gestures my druid friend Calvin used, but, although I'm sure that, after much persistence, I replicated the exact pronunciation and movement, I was unsuccessful in communicating with the birds - which he did quite naturally. As I already suspected, it must be a different form of magic, the key to which lies not in understanding particular concepts or secrets, but in communion with nature. Moreover, just as a physical weave is made up of warp and weft threads, and could not be made up except by the interweaving of these, perhaps the Weave (the way in which magic presented itself to beings for their use) could not exist, if it weren't made up of 'threads' of all different types of magic... Maybe it's the variety of types of magic that makes the Weave possible ...
Khessa, eager as she is to fight the Cult and thwart their plans, in her excitement would forget about lunch and head to Blackgate district immediately... unless someone more wise or more hungry stops her, of course 😉
Nixi spends the voyage in the crow's nest, enjoying the feel of the breeze in her hair, the screech of the gulls, the sharp salty scent of the sea. She will descend occasionally for food and to visit with her friends, but most of the time she is aloft.
Once on land she will familiarize herself with the disguise kit, and purchase any additional components required to dye her naturally pinkhair black, and use makeup to create hollow cheeks, bagged eyes, and try to make herself appear much older. After that, she is ready to go.
Very well. As you make your way to where you think the Blackgate district is, the rain comes pouring down. The narrow and steep streets get slippery, but you reach the Blackgate district eventually. Asking around a bit you get directed to Ackyn's an equipage business. When you enter the shop you see the Human trader talking with a male Half-Elf merchant. Ackyn notices you: Be right with ya!
Khessa, who is already happy to be momentarily sheltered from the rain, smiles brightly at the Human trader: "Take your time and finish serving this esteemed customer. We, although the weather outside is so captivating," she winks "will await our turn here until we can have your undivided attention".

Zale would continuously switch from hanging out on the rigging, standing at the bow, or making small talk with the ship's actual captain.
Kriv spends his time with the navigator learning about the differences in navigating a river instead of the sea.

"Ready" the dwarf nods

Zeminny will gawk at the size of the City, and then comment on the fact it is kind of an ugly place with a weird smell
So, you're making your way to the Blackgate district? Or grabbing a lunch first?
The sky is cloudy. Looks like it's going to rain.

Eric had is beer, according to the dwarfs knowledge it is like a liquid bread that may substitute an actual meal.
