Once Eric is safe and sound, Zeminny will immediately examine the strange creatures and begin skinning them out. The weird beasts hide will have to be worth a good penny in a city. Plus, there has to be a decent amount of meat for the nights dinner.
skinning/butchery: 23 for 1st beasty and 12 for numba 2
Eric is supposed to fall down easily thanks to Khessa's Feather fall right? He'll sink into the ground like a cannon ball otherwise LoL :D
(Yes, you are supposed to fall gently 😉)
As soon as the dwarf cleric is released and begins to fall, Khessa quickly touches Steff's rod, whispering a formula and her friend starts falling gently and slowly, landing uninjured while she runs to him. Before knowing what she is doing, she istinctively hugs him: "Eric! You were so worried about me, but it's you that made me worry, in the end!"
"Had you a fine flight?" the blonde arcane warrior winks; then more serious, releasing him and checking his conditions "Did the talons of this beast wound you?"

The dwarf brushes, the he says "thank to your magic my dear, I'm safe and sound. I would have fallen like a rock from a cliff" he laugh "your magic power if growing day by day dear Khessa, and no, it's just a scratch" he laughs "It's funny you know after all, I thought I was going to protect you in the fight, but happened the other way around!"
Zale cringes as her shot flies wide. She really hasn't been doing great with this has she? Luckily the others managed to kill the thing before it carried Eric off, and thank goodness Khessa had a spell like that prepared. Once again, the rouge feels a bit of envy since she's the only one in the group who can't use magic. Would she be able to hit more things if she could launch spells at them? Would it make her current skills better, or round out her abilities more? Shaking herself, she quickly banishes that feeling. She doesn't need magic, she can be useful as she is. None of them know how to pick locks or anything like that do they? Well, one of them might, but she's sure she can do it ten times faster. Plus she's WAY sneakier... probably. Zeminny might be able to compete with her.
Forcing herself to smile, she sheaths both her weapons and walks over to the two warriors. "Well, that was excitin' wasn't it? Those magics ye got sure be useful Khessa. Otherwise Eric 'ere woulda ended up a bloody mess along with that thing." She points at the carcasses that Zeminny is currently cleaning. Then she turns to the halfling, "What be ye plannin on doin with those things anyway?"

The meat isn't useful, you notice this right away. However the antlers from the first one look like they might be worth something. It's feathers also look nice.
The second beasty looks pretty damaged from the fall. You can "harvest" some of its blood if you have a vial.
(You can add Peryton Feathers (large pouch) and Peryton Antlers to your inventory)
The dwarf blushes, then he says "thank to your magic my dear, I'm safe and sound. I would have fallen like a rock from a cliff" he laughs "your magic power is growing day by day dear Khessa, and no, it's just a scratch" he laughs "It's funny you know after all, I thought I was going to protect you in the fight, but happened the other way around!"
'He's fine... Thank goodness (and thanks to Steff - gods bless that sweet boy) I was able to save him! And he called me 'dear'!' realizes Khessa, who blushes involuntarily 'he called me 'dear' twice!'
"Oh, you know," the blonde arcane warrior smiles, assuming a deliberately exaggeratedly solemn tone "it's my duty to save innocent people who fall from great heights!"
"But it is also a pleasure" the tall adventuress looks at him with blue eyes that shine with affection "when the person in question is one of those rare and special people without whom the world would be hopelessly much poorer and sadder".
"Yes, it's funny," Khessa admits, referring to the dwarf's last comment. "I was so convinced to be able to draw their attention... I can't understand why they chose you instead! Well, so we traded favors... you saved me from the animated bone-bags first".
...Forcing herself to smile, she sheaths both her weapons and walks over to the two warriors. "Well, that was excitin' wasn't it? Those magics ye got sure be useful Khessa. Otherwise Eric 'ere woulda ended up a bloody mess along with that thing." ...
"Indeed!" replies the blonde arcane warrior "Even if it seemed an excess of prudence, having that spell ready in the middle of a plain, my life as an adventurer, even if it isn't a very long one yet, has taught me that it's better to be safe than sorry - you never know when you might fall and, above all, from what height!"
Looks like you saved my live again, my friends! Samardag tells you. I can never repay you...
"Samardag," Khessa puts a hand affectionately on the man's shoulder "I already told you... you are a rare and precious person. They call you 'the Hoper', but it would be more accurate to call you 'the Hope-giver ', given the good heart you show towards others. You owe me nothing. Maybe," she smiles, furtively looking sideways at Eric for a moment, "if one day I find someone to settle down with in a fixed abode, I'll turn to you for the porcelain to decorate the house with, okay?"

“ yuck, this one’s pulverized, anyone got a vial to take some blood samples? Some magiker probably can make something with it…the meats smells nasty, will just take these hunks o’ feathers and these antlers. Not many people have flying periwinkle Stagg antlers I bet…”
Zeminny will gather back his net and prep it for use again.

“ you what they says, waste not, want not…maybe can make an amazing helmet with antlers and a cape of feathers…”
“You would probably yell more than a rock, Eric. We can try it later if you’d like.” Kriv gives a smile, hoping his friends would realize his awkward attempt at humor.
Zale laughs, "I don't believe in no excess prudence. Ye can never be over prepared, but no matter how hard ye do there will always be a time when yer under prepared ye know? So 'tis always best to prepare for as much as possible...unless of course that stresses ye out. Then it might be better to just ride the waves. Heheh."
She nods to Zeminny, "Heh, yeah that be a good point. You'll look fantastic in some fancy cloths like that."
She grins at Kriv, "He'd splat more than a rock too."
Those all hit! (Except for Zale 😄)
The Peryton drops dead from 12ft in the air, Eric still fimly grasped in its talons.

Calvin watches helplessly as the rest of the group fights the aerial creatures. However, Calvin has no ranged attacks to join in the fight.

Samardag really wants to help out and finds a vial for Zeminny.
He was also right about one thing. The next day you'll reach the Trollclaws. A region of Troll-infested hills.
This is where Zale makes an Perception check.... (heavens help us...)
Player: Any Good Alignment // DM: Lawful Evil
Zeminny thanks the good Samardag and fills the vial with the crazy beasts blood
When the caravan nears the hills, Zale immediately goes on high alert.
Perception: 8
Well I guess the dice roller is less cursed!
It's only a matter of believing in yourself 😉
You can add 1 vial of Peryton Blood to your inventory (it'll spoil in 7 days).
