During a break you notice a merchant you only know by face talking with a shady figure (you think it could be a Cultist). The shady figure seems to cast a spell which you recognize as a spell Khessa once used: "Detect Magic". After that they both look in your direction before they pretend nothing happend.
Zale raises an eyebrow. She does not like to be looked at like that. Standing up, she nudges Kriv's foot with her own, then she approaches the two people. "I saw ye cast that spell just now mate, what you be up too? I don't much appreciate being spied on, especially when I be employed by someone in yer company." She eyes the merchant, then looks back at the shady figure. "If ye want to know somethin' then just ask me flat out. Like I said, I be working for someone in this caravan, so we should all have at list a smidge o trust fer each other." She offers a toothy grin, though she is clearly still annoyed at these two.
Kriv notices the bump to his foot. As Zale walks towards the two, he acts normal, but makes sure to move closer. He keeps 10 feet back and makes sure to not let them out of his sight.
If Khessa notices that Zale seems angry with the merchant and Mr Shady One, she discreetly nudges Nixi to alarm her too and out of the corner of her eye wathces what's going on, ready to act if need arises.

It seems that the merchant is uncomfortable: Welll... errr.... you see... He lets out a big sigh. I'm a collector of a sort. My name is Losvius and I collect magical items. The Male Halfling replies. And it seems you have one. No bigger than a pebble. Can I... can I see it?
Zeminny will keep notes on which wagons that merchant belongs to and also that of 5he shady dude
You notice mr Shady is indeed going to one of the Cult's wagons. [Note: Nothing identifies the Cult’s wagons as anything but typical merchants hauling northbound freight. They don’t bunch up during the day or camp together at night. As far as anyone else knows, their only connection is that they’re part of this caravan.]
(Zale isn't really angry, just irritated. Just wanted to make that clear. :) )
Zale watches the shady one go as she continues addressing the merchant. Was that Cultist unable to tell that she carries TWO magical items? Or does he just not want this merchant to know that? "Really?"She says relaxing her smile, "That's it? Well, I don't see why not.. I dare say it is a bit bigger than a pebble though... Not sure I'd be trustin that fella's spells in the future if he can't tell that much. Heh." As she speaks, she draws the old dagger with the rune that she'd bought in Greenest, clearly the cultist had been sensing the bloody earring Eek had given her, but she's not about to show that to anyone. For two reasons. First, she doesn't like thinking about that bloody kobold, and second, she'd like to keep the fact that she could easily cause an explosion a secret for now. So, it be best not to show it to someone who might actually know what it is. Besides, this was a good chance to shake things up a bit...and maybe gain a bit of extra coin off this guy. Lately she'd found that she hasn't really needed her daggers. Irritation completely gone now, she flicks the dagger around to grab the blade as she holds the hilt out towards the man. Grinning, she taps a finger on the rune, "Ye see that? This here dagger be magically enhanced. It be quite old, and I be lucky to of ran across it."
The long nosed Halfling (Losvius’s nose is respectably large, even for a halfling) looks disappointed at you first words, but that changes when he sees the dagger.
Zale pulls the dagger away with an offended expression, "25 SILVER? For this beauty? You should be ashamed! And I thought you was a proper collector of relics! This little darlin' be worth her weight in gold!" The dragonborn isn't entirely sure how much the dagger is actually worth, not to mention she did only pay a couple coins for it so anything higher will be no loss. However, the more she can get out of this guy the better, she knows for a fact that this thing has to be worth more than 25 silver. It's magic after all. "I won't be takin less than 70 gold!" She holds the blade up to the sky, pretending to examine it. "She may be old, but she's a beauty ain't she? She be a piece 'o history. If I do part with her, I'll be right sad that I never got to learn her exact origins. I found her in a ruined shrine ye know?" She sighs, "It do be a right shame that I be need coin lately. Haven't even used her in battle, though i suppose that's kept right clean."
Losvius’s eyes flashed anger for a moment. Well.. it seems I need find some more money...
You make it out of the Trollclaws without encountering any real danger. However Losvius persists through the next days, becoming more obnoxious without getting any more generous.
Day 13
Zale, as you wake up this morning you notice that your dagger is gone...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Waking up to find her blade missing, the dragonborn has to restrain herself from grabbing Kriv, storming over to that little bastard's wagon and having the larger dragonborn help her shake the guy up a bit. She's angry for two reasons. First, that she was stupid enough not to realize Losvius would try this, and second, that he can do it and think he can get away with it. Is he really so stupid to think that she wouldn't realize it was him? He hadn't stopped pestering her about it since he saw it! Bloody idiot. The only problem is that he has friends with those blasted cultists. That said, strait up confronting him may not be the best option. Better try a less strait forward approach.
Clenching her fists, she feels her sharp claws dig into her palms. As she stalks over to Losvius's wagon, she makes sure her friends see her. Best not to do this without them knowing where she went. As she moves, she looks around for Losvius. She's going to teach that bloody fool of a merchant not to mess with a pirate.
"Although I understand your feeling Zale, remember the scope of our journey. Causing a riot would attract unwanted attention so be careful" says the dwarf. Although he won't interfere with Zale's action whatever she takes.

You find Losvius in the process of waking up and grabbing breakfast. Are you trying to remain unseen?
(If she can stay out of Losvius's sight relatively easily than yes, but other than being unnoticed by him she's just trying to be inconspicuous. How close is he to his wagon?)
Stealth if needed: 20
In response to Eric, Zale gives an irritated grin, "Oh I won't go causin no riots. I want this to go down as quietly as possible..."
I'd say with that roll you can easily approach him from behind without him noticing. You can make it to 30 ft before his guard will see you coming their way. He won't attack on sight or anything like that, you may simply be passing by or wanted to talk to them.
[The guard is a tall Human male. During the past few days you've got the know him as Sulesdeg the Pole. Among his tribe in his homeland of the Shaar, Sulesdeg’s name means “tall as a lodge pole.” On the Sword Coast, he is just known as “the Pole.” A few inches taller than Khessa, he probably is the tallest human you or anyone else in the caravan has ever seen. He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, people generally listen.]
With the guard there, she's even less inclined to try this alone. She continues to walk past the thief and his guard, giving the tall human a friendly nod as she does so. She makes a show of examining the area around the caravan, as she pretends to be patrolling the current camp. She circles back around to her friends after a few moments, irritated scowl back on her face. Either she's going to have to wait until dark to enact revenge, or she's going to have to get help. She glances back at Losvius before speaking, "Any of ye be up for helpin me collect some payment? I was hopin to just be able to sneak in there and grab somthin of equal or grater value, but that don't be possible with the big guy out there."

Seeing Zale, Khessa sends Anator to watch her back (the blonde arcane warrior instructs him to warn her telepathically, in case of problems).
"Although I understand your feeling Zale, remember the scope of our journey. Causing a riot would attract unwanted attention so be careful" says the dwarf. Although he won't interfere with Zale's action whatever she takes.
