Without knowing what exactly is happening, Kriv does his best to throw a punch at the attacker. He follows up by grabbing the attacker and bear hugging them.
Attack: 24 Damage: 7
You give the Cultist a hard blow, hitting his throat. It's very effective; you must have hit him at the right angle with the right force and placement. You're not aware of it at the moment but your blow caused extreme damage to the soft tissue in the neck with potentially fatal consequences.
In total panic, the Cultist tries to finish his mission. With his arms pressed tightly against his body, he still tries to stab his dagger in Kriv's side.
To hit: 15 + 3 = 18 for 2 + 1 = 3 dmg.
He tries to hit a kidney, but these are difficult to reach, because they are at the back of the body. He only wounds you superficially.
K so, Zale still sleeps. Calvin isn't in the loop and doing Calvin things. Zeminny is in the same room as Kriv and woke up but hasn't rolled initiative yet.
[[ Normally I wouldn't do this, but this isn't actually the most epic battle. It's more about how you handle the aftermatch. ]]
Zeminny opens his eyes, still drowsy, sees Kriv and another person hug tightly and decides that he still dreaming (and if he's not... well he wants nothing to do with it). Zeminny turns around (facing the wall) and falls asleep again. Blissfully unaware of whatever happens next because of Eric's Silence spell.
Round 2
Nixi - 21
Kriv - 20
Eric - 18
Cultist - 16
Khessa - 9
Zeminny - 7
Eric, Khessa and Nixi slam open the door. Nixi is the first to grasp the gravity of the situation.
'Kriv! How are you, are you all right?' that's what Khessa tries to say...but the fact that no sound leaves her lips reminds her of the still active silence spell; she then approaches and tries to check her friend's wounds by eye, gesturing to Eric to approach and check too.
Kriv releases the body and lets it fall to the ground. He looks down the wound from the attack. Grimacing at the sight of the wound and kicks the corpse in the chest before turning to the door, suprised to see his friends crowding the door.
Once the last cultist have fallen, Eric waves his hand, releasing Silence spell "now, you'll be able to speak again, no one outside could have heard tonight turmoil. It's time now to decide what should we do next, what will be our next move"
"The corpse must disappear," Khessa proposes. "So the cultists won't be able to accuse anyone... and if we're lucky, they might even think this guy deserted. I wanted to see if Calvin, in giant lizard form, could eat him... but sadly Calvin is just one of the few who has not joined us. So, plan B: I have noticed that a river runs through Daggerford"(OOC: she refers to the Delimbiyr River - although she may not know its name).
"Let's take the bed sheets from this guy's room and wrap him up - finally tying the ends of the sheets together" continues the blonde arcane warrior. "At that point, I load the wrapped body onto my shoulder. Nixi casts invisibility at me. As invisible, I step out the window, slowing my fall with magic, hastily carry the 'load' to the river, add a few stones for safety along with the body and throw it in the bottom. It will sink, never to be found again. You, in the meantime, clean this room for the few blood left by the cultist".
"When I get back, I'll send Anator to knock on your window, Eric" the tall adventuress smiles. "You drop me a rope (if you don't have one, I can give you one now), then I go back up… I have no armor, so I should not be too noisy... but you can cast a second silence spell, if you wish to be sure. And... lo and behold! It will be as if I spent the whole night with you. In the morning, the only evidence in the eyes of the cultists will be the absence of this guy… and his sheet. Like if he deserted, stealing the sheet to resell to boot - but even if they suspect anything else, they'd have no proof..."
"How about?" the blue eyes of the woman look, one at a time, the faces of each of her companions "Objections? Improvements? Or shall we proceed?"
[[Just so you know: the Cultist had a room on the same floor as Kriv and Zeminny (are you going to wake him up btw?). It's possible that he also had a roommate.]]

Oh, ok. No sheets from his room then. Khessa will carry the body as it is (if she is invisible, so it is the body she is carrying - so even if not wrapped, it should not draw attention) and put stones in the pockets of the corpse's clothes instead, once at the riiver, to be sure it sinks promptly.
The blonde arcane warrior already tried to wake up Zale, but she couldn't... and she wouldn't want to insist, for fear of making too much noise and waking someone else too.
Nixi nods and aks: You ready? She will then cast Invisibility on Khessa, her wand shooting out a fountain of pink sparkles that cascade around Khessa and the corpse, and when they fade, both Kesha and the corpse have vanished.

Khessa smiles as her friend's spell envelops her.
'Sooner or later I too will be able to figure out how to do this...' the blonde arcane warrior thinks for a moment 'Until now, despite Nixi explaining this spell to me over and over again, I've never been able to cast it. But I won't give up... Luckily she's so patient!'
The tall adventuress wastes no time in trying to execute her plan: she passes her hemp rope to Eric, just in case he doesn't have it (and she also takes advantage of the fact that she is invisible to give him a furtive kiss and whisper: "Be ready to lower the rope when Anator knocks on your window").
If all goes well, she checks (with the help of Anator too) that no one is around, then finds a point where the water is deep, fills the pockets of the cultist's clothes with stones and throws the body to sink to the bottom of the river.
She goes back to the inn, she sends Anator to knock on Eric's window... and when Eric lets down the rope, she climbs back up to his room - and spends the rest of the night there, as she was doing already before the cultist's move.
Kriv stands still clutching his abdomen. “What the hell just happened?” He had been stabbed in the past, but always during a bar fight or raiding a ship. He had never been caught off guard like this.

"Oh, we simply just got rid of your recent 'unluck'" Khessa expkains, in a haste, before exiting from the window. "The others will explain you more, while I take care of this corpse".
Then she goes (OOC: and does as previously posted).

The Cultist rolled a 12, so Kriv has no problem grabbing the almost dead Cultist.

Zeminny is up! (Or still in bed actually...)

Zale rolls over, still holding the pillow over her head and snoring loudly.
(Zeminny too, it seems! Lol)

Nixi immediately realizes that casting spells won't work. Instead, it's time for a whack whack with the good ol' staff!
21 (!!) to hit for 3 dmg.
Without the silence spell you would have heard a satisfying crack, but all Kriv notices is that the Cultist goes completely slack.

End of combat!
You can post out of initiative order again.
