[Lai is not the most popular merchant in the caravan. He talks about money constantly: how much he intends to make, how he will spend it, and how others will envy him for it. He did not spend a single copper buying anyone else a drink or a roasted turnip during the entire trip. Zale and Lai are usually separated from the others during the night.]
Cultist 1: Watch your mouth lizardlips! You could have simply thrown it away or hide it! Or...
Aldor Urnpoleshurst: Actualluy she makes a good point. What was your friend guarding? Is something missing? Maybe we can find the perpetrator that way?
Cultist 1: Uh... well. you see...
Cultist 2: None of yer damn...
At this point Azbara Jos comes forward and tries to calm the situation, in the process saying more than anyone (except for Khessa) has so far heard him say at one time. However Khessa, the mark starts to burn while Azbara is talking. You're not sure if that's related. With Azbara and Aldor mediating, the caravan’s most prominent merchants agree that without witnesses, nothing can be done. The gods will punish the guilty party and life will go on.
During the rest of the journey the Cultists never again look at Zale with anything but undisguised hatred.
Mid-morning the caravan rolls into Waterdeep after 40 days on the road. Most of the merchants disperse to the city’s markets, warehouses, and stables. They’ve reached their destination and the party is paid off in silver and thanked for their service. They’re told they can find work with these shippers any time in the future.
Aldor Urnpoleshurst pays Nixi and Khessa 40 gp + 10 gp bonus = 50 gp each.
Beyd Sechepol pays Eric 200 sp + 25 sp bonus = 225 sp

However you can’t waste much time closing accounts with your employers or sightseeing in Waterdeep or they lose the treasure wagons in the crowded metropolis. The cult wagons don’t follow the same pattern as the others from the caravan. Instead, they head for the north side of the city.
The night after the murder incident Khessa wakes up in a puddle of sweat. She still remembers the nightmare... it seemed so real!
'Apparently,' the blonde arcane warrior thinks smiling, trying to play down 'Ms Dragon Mommy is not used to wayward children… I assume she either never had any, or the ones she did have never made it to adolescence '.
At the earliest opportunity, the tall adventurer talks to Eric about it: "I had another dream-close-encounter with Tiamat tonight... This time she came to complain that I would have little faith in her and disrupted her plan. I don't know if she suddenly realized that I am actively fighting her…or if it was referring to some other wrongdoing that she thinks I would have committed. And she threatened me.But when I woke up, I was fine…so, apparently, her five heads, for now, I am able to roar in dreams... but not to bite in reality. I wanted to warn you" she furtively strokes the cheek of the dwarf cleric "just so that we are all aware of it. As far as I am concerned, for now, to dream a few heads of dragon sometimes doesn't worry me too much" she smiles.
Day 40
Incredibly galvanized for all that, together with her fellow adventurers, she has managed to accomplish, Khessa, increasingly confident in her own abilities, finally realizes that she has deepened her arcane knowledge enough to be able to effectively cast even some spells which, until a few days before, were the prerogative of Nixi alone!
The enthusiastic blonde arcane warrior shares her discovery with her fellow wizard and, if she has the time, copies into her own spellbook some interesting spells of her gnome friend that had always eluded her understanding before.
Realizing that the cult wagons don't follow the same pattern as the others from the caravan, but they head instead for the north side of the city, the tall adventuress alerts the companions, suggesting that Calvin try spying on the Cultist in lizard form , as he did at Baldur's Gate, while she sends Anator to keep an eye on them by flying.
"just so that we are all aware of it. As far as I am concerned, for now, to dream a few heads of dragon sometimes doesn't worry me too much" she smiles.
"That's is the spirit, dear!" laugh the dwarf "for tonight, I would just celebrate the end of this journey" Said so, does Eric know if there are ways in which an enchained goddess such as Tiamat could actually communicate with other planes through dream. Or if the mark given by the Red Wizard could be implied somehow...
"Good to have tiny spies to be our eyes and hears!" answers back to Khessa's plan "I also would look for fellows Harpers and Gauntlets. A great city like this would certainly harbor several organization. They need to know how the cult is moving and we need allies after all..."

"You're always the wisest, Eric!" Khessa approves, patting him on the shoulder and smiling with affection " "I have no precise idea how to recognize another Harper - but Gauntlet should have 'official' bases here. And warning them at least would be really a good thing. Jamna is the only other Harper I have found - and she already knows everything. Anyway, the more we can warn, the better! Tiamat's threat is too big to be underestimated. It is, matter of fact, a threat to the whole world".
"Indeed, finding the order of the Gauntlet should be an easy task, and if you're right and Jamna is an Harper, I think they will find us first" says the dwarf "Would you join me in meeting the Order?" he refers to everyone

"I'd love to go with you, Eric," Khessa admits, "but if Anator goes spying on the Cultist (perhaps with Calvin) I'd rather be nearby, ready to assist".
"I could go with Eric." Zale chimes in, "I ain't part of no order, but I'd prefer to at least travel in pairs. With the cult as eager to get us out o their hair, no one should go anywhere alone unless absolutely necessary." She growls, "They must be up to somethin' since they broke off from the caravan...."

Zeminny wakes up….” Are we there yet? I will go with you…where are we going?” He says while rubbing the sand from his eyes.

You think it's possible. Maybe the marks helps, maybe not...
Calvin will need a few charges to follow the Cultists through the streets of the crowded metropolis if he agrees. Your other tiny spies follow the Cultist's wagons. At one point 1 follows another path and the 2 others follow the same path but 1 is lagging behind.
Are you guys asking around for the Order of the Gaunlet? (Investigation checks!)

OK, Anator will follow the 2, then, letting Calvin, if he came, follow the 1.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kriv follows along, not particularly paying attention to the business of finding the Order. Out of curiosity, he keeps an eye out for a temple that looks like it may be connected to Silvanus.
Zale completely doesn't notice that Kriv decided to run off alone even though she specifically said they should travel in pairs at least. (Lol I won't even roll because at this point her obliviousness seems to be part of the character.) Instead she looks for any sign of the Gauntlets.
Investigation: 7 (lol i guess investigation is to close to persuasion to escape the curse.)
While the rest of the party wanders aimlessly through Waterdeep, Calvin and the little spies discover that the cultists spend a day resting their horses at a stable on the north side of Waterdeep. Other wagons are already there, (probably carrying treasure from all over the Sword Coast to the collection point). During the day, some of the cultists visit a large warehouse just inside the northern city gate. They also learn that it's the place where construction supplies are stockpiled for shipment north and where wagons are gathered and loaded for the trip.
It takes the better part of the day for the others to realize that Order's organisational headquaters in Waterdeep is amoung the Halls of Justice in the Castle Ward.
Kriv, it's almost like the god of wild nature doesn't have a temple in a crowded metropolis. How strange...
He will ask about “ the order of the glove, no wait the gauntlet….” And also try to sell his vial of coagulated critter blood and the antlers.

You do pass a few shops (even with those rolls you should notice them in a city like this), but you don't get any buyers. Maybe you'll have more luck tomorrow?
