Khessa listens with great interest to the further details the dwarf cleric is able to provide: "A piece of magic equipment, you say?" and she tries to think if this reminds her of anything...
"I have no idea what it could have been..." Khessa admits "If they were so interested in the stars, maybe it was a magical telescope. Or maybe a portal to travel between the stars. Who knows..."
Kriv spends some time poking around the camp, trying to figure out what he can about the previous occupants.
Survival: 14
They probably were Lizardfolk. Each canoe has three paddles and is large enough to hold 5 Humans without much gear, or 2 or 3 with packs and other gear. Inside the lean-tos are a few baskets containing smoked fish along with some lizards and birds that have been smashed flat and dried in the sun.
"An old wizard made this place? An he left some magic thing? Huh. I don't be knowin if that object be worth checking out, but at least we have these boats now. If we need to be travelin farther we can stay relatively dry now." Zale grins, and starts looking around.

You don't discover anything more than Kriv. But you do notice that you have about 30-45 minutes of daylight left.
Khessa makes Anator fly high, hoping that he will notice a possible nearby destination for the possible loot... the canoes would probably have been used to transport the loot... the point is to figure out where.
"Sage advice, as always, dear..." Khessa approaches Eric, passing a hand on his shoulder and seeking side-by-side contact "Let's just wait for Anator... If he sees a possible destination nearby... If the probable destination of the loot was, for example, a few minutes away by canoe, we could also evaluate a night action. But if it is far away or, even worse, if Anator doesn't even see it, yes, this place is undoubtedly the best we can find to camp".
"I be agreen with Calvin here." Zale says glancing around. "The last thing we be wantin to do is stumble around in the mud in the dark. Even if we take them boats, it'd be best to wait till mornin. Who knows what we could hit in this swamp, don't want to damage them boats if possible."
Anator doesn't see any castles. He does notice that the course is marked with symbols scratched into tree trunks and totems hung from branches (that stick out of the water). It goes on for miles...
When Anator returns and reports her, Khessa shares: "There is a course that is marked with symbols scratched into tree trunks and totems hung from branches (that stick out of the water)... but it goes on for miles... So I too agree to rest here and resume the journey tomorrow morning!"

"daylight is fading, I would suggest settling down for the night"

Calvin nods, "Yes, with the light fading, it would be best that we get some rest."

"Great, we can rest for tonight, and Anator found a path that we can follow by tomorrow" says the dwarf, relieved before preparing for the night.
Do you guys take turns keeping watch again? (If yes: Perception rolls please)
