Zale walks confidently alongside Khessa and Eric as they make their way towards the city. She can feel herself getting closer to her goal.
However, she is clearly irritated when they finally arrive only to see the castle begin drifting away. "Aye, let's be makin haste now. If we don't we be missin this opportunity." She says looking around for a stable which may house griffins, wyverns and such.
Well... Eric does notice something. A well stands at the center of the village square. Four buildings surround it: an empty shrine, a wheelwright’s shop, a tavern, and a stable. The wheelwright is closing his shop. But it looks like the Dwarf gestures for Eric to come over.
Khessa, intrigued, follows Eric. She holds her hand out with all five fingers extended, in the gesture the Cultists should call the 'Tiamat salute', and says to the wheelwright: "They shall rise! Tell us what you want from us... but consider that we already have our problems: we are late and we must reach the Castle!"
"I am keeper of father's forge and guardian of his fire. " Eric replies surprised; then he says. "By the way What's your name And what's your occupation? You seems not a member of the cult, neither leading a shop seems to be your primary occupation". He adds.
If Perception/Insight check is needed against his Sleight it would be 18
Khessa is asking herself similar questions, in the secret of her mind... but since the other seems willing to talk only with Eric, she has no problem keeping quiet, for once, and letting her beloved dwarf handle the situation.
Zale continuously eyes the flying castle, and looks increasingly confused at the situation. Why is this guy so interested in Eric? And why are they wasting time standing here while the castle escapes!!
My name is Gundalin and I can hardly go back to my old occupation with your friends in town. Gundalin glaces sadly at the empty shrine and then looks angrily at your friends. Do you trust them?
[The check was only for the others. I don't think anyone has a passive Perception that beats his roll, so Eric is the only one that sees the sysmbol]
Assuming that Eric confirms that you can be trusted:
Moradin gave me a dream last night. A Dwarf wielding a warhammer came to town and I gave him wings. Gundalin looks at Zale, Calvin and Khessa. They weren't there....
'Maybe Moradin was sparing people in your dream, Gundalin...' Khessa thinks, not answering for Eric. 'But, believe me, it's much better that we're here too'.
"I put more than trust in them" Eric says, posing one hand on Khessa's shoulder "and I thank Moradin for giving you this vision. It means that the gaze of the forgelord is apon us!" he says looking back to Gundalin "but you know, the visions that the gods give are not like portraits made by a mundane artist; they gives signals, like sparkles erupting from their divine forge. So your vision might not be complete but it may appear like it's concealed by the smoke of the forge. It's up to you'r heart and your wisdom to interpret Moradin's gifts; to prove yourself worthy of his blessing!"
He guides you to the stable and opens the 2 big doors for you. Inside you find 2 Wyverns. Cracked sheep bones and a few ox skulls cover the stable floor. Other than riding harnesses for the Wyverns, there is nothing else here.
Quick! Get their harnesess on! I'll watch the door!
The Wyverns can carry up to 2 riders at a time. The difficult part is getting their harnesses attached so that riders don’t fall off, and giving the proper commands once airborne.
Any character can put the harness on a Wyvern with a successful DC 10 Animal Handling check. The Wyverns aren’t choosy about who rides them, but convincing a Wyvern to fly or move in a specific direction requires an action to make a DC 15 Animal Handling check. After a rider succeeds on two such checks, the Wyvern goes where the rider wants for the next hour, or until it takes damage or the rider dismounts.
Calvin steps forward: Allow me!
He steps up to the first Wyvern: AH check nat 1!
The the Wyvern strenuously objects and attacks Calvin with its tail stinger (as a reaction): 11 + 7 = 18 to hit for 12 + 4 = 16 dmg
Ouch! Don't do that again! Calvin's next attempt: 19
"Indeed!" Khessa agrees "I used to help nearby farmers with their chickens, every now and then... Those are just a bit more feral-looking, but we'll be good..."
"AHAH!" Zale exclaims, "Fine job Eric! I be glad ye have many friends." She laughs knowing full well that this is the first time he's met the other dwarf.
Striding into the stable, she grins at the wyverns. "Ah, I've always wanted to ride one of these fellas."
After Calvin harnesses one, Zale swings onto it's back, "Hehe to slow crocoboy! This one be mine!"
Animal handling: 17

the dwarf makes to the others a sign to follow him and approaches the wheelwright. He poses his hand taking a look inside the shop

The wheelwright doesn't return the salute and ignores everyone except Eric.
You're a Cleric right? Curious company you keep...
The Dwarf opens his coat a bit and tries to show Eric (and only Eric):

Oh, ok; Khessa's Perception, then, while waiting for the conversation to go on: 18
Khessa has no idea who Gundalin is, but she hopes he comes to the point (and has flying mounts or knows where to get them).
Zale taps her foot impatiently.

OCC: for some reason in his background Eric has an insane Animal handling bonus (+7)
His check would be 19
