"Oh, OK Zale, I agree she is a Vampiress. And vampiresses are usually evil bloodsuckers. And yet..." Khessa looks confused - yet determined "...I can't explain why, but I assure you I feel she is a true friend. After all, she didn't suck our blood; on the contrary, she saved us the trouble of talking to Rezmir and told us where the castle's flight control tower is, right?"
Zale shakes her head, "They are masters of charm. She definitely has some trick up her sleeve, and she clearly wants Rezmir out of the way just as much as that other cultist woman."She won't say it but she's already forgotten the name of the one who sent them here....seems the thrill of potential pirating made her forgetful. "She's using us and that's that. Though so long as her goals align with ours then I have no issue playin er game fer now."
"In any case, it seems she actually revealed us where castle's control engine is" mumbles the dwarf "Although I think she cannot be trust; I think we should check it out... Maybe she just manipulating us to make her move agains Rezmir, in this case we could consider her a sort of temporary ally"
Calvin pipes up: I was promised that I would see a Dragon!
About Rezmir
Calvin is the only one that almost met her (he was a Lizard sitting on her tent while she was inside). Leosin was captured by her and knows exactly how she looks like. You know what a Half-Dragon looks like (because there was one that killed Telurion) and Leosin probably gave you a decent description.
Rezmir however knows she's being followed by a group of adventurers. She fled castle Naerytar with Azbara Jos and Jos know exactly how you look like. It's save to assume that he has magical means to transfer that information to Rezmir.
Eric responds to his druid friend: "Oh, my friend, I do have the feeling we are quite close to that moment" although he is joking, his voice is troubled, like he is warring about his own words to be true. Then he turns to the others: "In any case I think we have no other choice but pointing to the engine room"
"Yes, let's go" Khessa agrees wholeheartedly. "So far we've managed to avoid encountering anyone who might track us down, but the risk will only grow the longer we stay on this flying fortress".
"I wonder if I should assume the guise of Talis..." the blonde arcane warrior muses aloud "She struck me as an important member of the Cult. Perhaps even a Wearer of Purple... If I were to assume her guise with magic, perhaps we could gain easier access to the command tower. But I'm dubious. Rezmir is in charge here, it seems; so perhaps if one of Rezmir's followers saw us, he might go and warn her, and we would then draw unwanted attention... Which do you think is best? Should I take Talis' appearence? Or rather stay as I am?"
"Don't know dear" replies Eric "but I think Rezmir, as well high-ranking cultists should know that Talis shouldn't be here and may ask questions. Moreover, she is known to have animosity against dwarfs... So my advise is, If you want to disguise yourself, better chosing another person" "
"Okay," Khessa agrees. "But I don't know of any other living Wearers of Purple... so I think I'll improvise a new one. I'll be a Wearer of Purple at Rezmir's service".
Zale thinks for a moment, "Well...I do know how to disguise meself...but I be thinkin even if we all get disguises she'd still catch on. Two humans, a dwarf and a dragonborn travlin together is enough to be raising suspicion."
"I am a Wearer of Purple, now..." Khessa points out "With her faithful standard bearer" she embraces her beloved dwarf briefly. "I'm not a Wyrmspeaker, but I'm still high in rank. Many of us have the Cult's scabbards... We know how to salute, how to speak... Nobody knows that enemies of the Cult are inside the fortress already... I think we are as ready as we can be".
"If somebody discovers us..." the tall adventuress shrugs "We still know how to fight. We just have to take control of the flight before a general alert is raised. Then, getting this fortress to crash should be quick and easy. And may the Cultists inside Rest In Peace".
So you climb the spiral staircase again, ignoring the tunnels you pass. And you're back at the upper courtyard. Unfortunately Morgia made the honest mistake of neglecting to tell you which tower is the steering tower....
Khessa suggests to the party: "Let's head to a random one and ask for directions. Despite our rank, we are new to the place and are unfamiliar with it".
And, if no one objects, the magically disguised blonde arcane warrior heads for the nearest tower. If there are guards at the entrance (or if she encounters someone before reaching the tower) she performs the Tiamat Salute and says, in a peremptory tone: "They shall rise! I must reach the steering tower. Which one is it?"
You make your way to the nearest tower. The foggy courtyard seems deserted. This tower of pale blue ice is the color of sky on a winter day. Its few windows shimmer like mirrored glass or crystal. From your arrival you remember that 2 Ogres stood watch atop this tower. You can't see them from here however and they can't see you (you think).
You make your way to the next nearest tower. You have to walk around the "mountain" because it takes a while for you to find a path leading to the tower. During this walk you pass a cave tunnel. The ncient tower seems to be crumbling. The windows have been sealed shut with ice, and cracks have formed in the walls and rooftop. A balcony of sculpted ice hugs one side of the tower, 75 feet above the tower base.
Khessa examines this tower with a mixture of interest and concern... It is so ancient that it seems to be crumbling... and it makes sense that the flight control mechanism is located in an ancient part of the fortress... However, someone with great control over ice could have made the tower their lair, judging by the windows sealed shut with ice and the balcony of sculpted ice.
"I think if I were a white dragon, I would like this tower, as a home..." the blonde arcane warrior winks at Calvin "Maybe a wish of yours is about to come true".
The tall adventuress however sees no alternative - and, taking care to display confidence, tries to open the door.

So, a meeting with Rezmir would not be peaceful.

The blonde arcane warrior she then takes the form of a dark-skinned, brunette Wearer of Purple. For her dress, she takes inspiration from Mondath's, which she has seen for a long time - but she doesn't create it exactly the same, as each Wearer of Purple has their own.
The tall adventuress, hoping to gain easier access to any restricted areas, leads the group to the steering tower in the upper courtyard.

Well, of there are no guards, Khessa tries to open the door and find someone inside to ask for directions.
It won't open. The door to this tower seems to be fitted with an iron lock.

Ok, let's try with the next nearest tower.

The door isn't locked, but it seems something inside blocks the door and prevents it from being opened.
