OOC: Sorry for throwing sand in the wheels, but Telurion is a Paladin so he also will step forward ;)
"Let me fight" - Telurion steps forward somberly, addressing Kriv - "I have made a promise to a friend... That I would try to be better for others - this is my chance"
OOC: We can always roll for it, but Im open to group suggestion.
”You have the skills to protect and aid these people. You can do more good for others by staying alive.”
Nighthill smiles at the sight of such valiant warriors. He and Escobert go to discuss trems with the creature. He trusts you'll figure out who will fight.
When Eek says he doesn't know where the lair is, her anger seems to melt away. Her eyes had held some hope, she had felt close to getting her revenge, but now they only held disappointment and pain. She doesn't resist when Kriv takes Eek from her. After he does, she follows the others to the governor in silence. "I must end him I must!" She thinks to herself. She remains silent as the others speak with the governor, "We didn't scare it away, he just didn't think we were worth the trouble." As she thinks this, she notices the creature step into the light and feels some of her anger return. This thing clearly had some connection to the dragon, and was holding a family hostage. She feels the urge to launch herself at the thing, but she holds herself back. She had already almost died twice, and she didn't doubt that this creature could kill her with one blow. Looking at her companions, she tries to decide who should fight. She knew Kriv was a good fighter, but she isn't sure if he is better than Telurion. On one hand, Kriv was a blue dragonborn, so he would have resistance against any lightning attacks that this blue draconian thing would have, but on the other hand, Telurion said he had made some sort of promise. Zale didn't want to get between the paladin and his promise, but she also didn't want to see him die. "How about a coin flip?" She offers, " 'cause I sure don't know which o' you be the better fighter."
After a few minutes Nighthill and Escobert return. The governor addresses the party.
The challenger is Langdedrosa Cyanwrath. He seemed very pleased that a champion will step forward. He agrees to these terms for the combat: The three children will be set loose immediately, but his Kobolds will continue to stand guard over the woman, and they will kill her if anyone interferes in the fight. I am to hold my troops in the keep during the combat. You can go out if you want, but Cyanwrath insists that you keep their distance and stay between the combatants and the fortress. Regardless of who wins, the woman will be released when the fight is over; and the victor will be the last one standing.
The main gate opens and you all walk out. The mood is very "Faramir is sent to hold Western Osgiliath". The gate is closed behind you. To your surprise Leera has joined your team.
Go get him, big guy! She says with a smile, but you all hear sadness in her voice.
Telurion, you walk up to the Half-Dragon. He nods and your fight begins.

Initiatves: Langdedrosa 4 +1 = 5, Telurion 19
Telurion, you go first.
After nodding a greeting at Leera, the paladin finds comfort in the reassuring weight of his weapon and shield, and walks without hesitation to meet the impressive half-dragon.
”I do not know your motivations Cyanwrath, but I guess it does not really matter” - he addresses his foe, and swings - “Let us just do this!”
“We are nothing alike” - Telurion growled - “You are using those who cannot defend themselves as barter. That is the way of a coward, not a warrior” - he added, and swung again.
Telurion seems to be holding up better than Zale initially thought he would. So far he hasn't been hit. However, she cringes when the half-dragon breathes lightning at him. "That's where Kriv would have fared better. Hopefully he can keep avoiding any other blows dealt against him."

Fizker doesn't have a opinion in the matter, or so it seems. He keeps looking at the creature.

(Sorry, I missed this post)
Eek doesn't know. He looks like Dragon Lady. Eek doesn't recognize the Kobolds either. Maybe other tribe?

So, who will be our champion?

Calvin shifts nervously on the spot, he knows that he would not be able to face such a challenge. Yet it made him uncomfortable to pick someone else.

Double checking his recent wounds, and drawing his weapon and shield, Telurion nods again - “I am ready”
Kriv puts his hand on Telurion’s shoulder. “Fine. I won’t stop you, but if the opportunity arises, I will say I told you so.”

Kriv grips his greataxe and watches the kobolds guarding the woman.
The children are set free and run past Telurion to the party. Seeking cover behind Kriv. Leera tries to comfort them.

(Stupid mobile, just lost an epic fight scene!)
Your quick strike surprises Cyanwrath and leaves a deep cut on his left arm.
It seems we're not that different, Paladin!
The Half-Dragon spins his spear faster than you would have thought possible. He tries to strike at you upper body.
To hit: 5 + 6 = 11
But you see it coming. However he spins the spear down and goes for the legs.
To hit: 7 + 6 = 13
You step back and the attack misses.
Finally! A worthy opponent!

Another decent hit! Cyanwrath seems to enjoy it!
The only cowards are those standing behind you. We are 2 sides of the same coin!
Cyanwrath twists his spear, he goes high but quickly changes direction.
To hit: nat 1
The spear slips out of his hand. Frustrated he's going to Action Surge and uses his Lightning Breath.
Telurion, please make a DEX save.

Yeah….
Zeminny will cheer with every blow that Telurian lands against the half-dragon
