Khessa is eventually ready to resume war actions, but she prefers to leave the answer to Eric and Zale... It is clear that at least Zale still needs attention, after the nasty surprise of the acid trap. So, it will be necessary either for Snapjaw to curb his impatience while the rest is extended, or, if it is decided to act now, for Eric to use his magical healing powers on the dragonborn...
Zale stands there for a moment in pain, shock and embarrassment before Khessa comes to help her back to the other room. How the heck did she miss that trap?! Has she lost her touch?! How could she be so blind?!!!
When Zale is embarrassed, she gets angry easily and she always enjoys taking out her anger on something. When Snapjaw asks if they are ready to hunt some bullywugs, she yells, "EYE!" Fortunately though, it only comes out as a gargled croak, which makes her realize she was just about to do exactly what she had told Kriv not to. Irritably, she plops back down on the floor.
This time, Khessa also rests, leaving Anator to keep watch. Since the group is investing time to get back to its best, she doesn't intend to be left behind!

When you're ready Snapjaw guides you to the tower of your quarters. Over a a walkway of planks in the antechamber you pass your quarters and a new chamber: the subterranean entrance. The most important feature of this chamber is the staircase that leads down to the caverns beneath the castle. It sits directly below the stairs that lead up to level two of the tower. There is no doorway across either set of steps.
If you go down you'll find the "entry cavern":

The chamber is brightly lit by one lantern hanging next to the entrance steps and another hanging near the northwest opening. The chamber is empty. Only the sound of dripping water comes from the NW and E.
Khessa sends her brother Anator to check NW... After all, a bat in a cave should not seem too much suspicious. What does he find? Another room? And there is someone?
It's dark in the that room and the floor is slick with moisture. Steps to the northwest descend 5 feet. The water flooding the center is little more than a puddle.
"Well... both ways go down..."Khessa muses aloud "Let's start from north-west, it was the less obvious one".
She leads the party there, keeping Anator scouting ahead: '...But warn me telepathically and come back as soon as you detect someone, will you? Great! Your help is invaluable, brother of mine'.
Eric nods, ready to go, he has darkvision, if needed he wold cast light on Khessa's ring so she can handle a light source freely with no need of free hand.
