Coming in at init 4 are 2 swarms of what looks like Swarms of Rats. The people that were in tunnel at Greenest can make a Perception or Nature check. I think thats Kriv, Calvin, Eric and Zale.

Kriv and Eric made their save. Snapjaw is dead. Only the plants are there creating difficult terrain. They are gone since he rolled a 4 on his first save.

“If Pharblex has some control over natural forces, perhaps the rats fight for him” Khessa replies. "Let's focus on him. If we kill him, then the rats (and maybe the frogs too) might disperse".
I guess no one sees that these are not normal rats...
It soon becomes clear however as they swarm Khessa and Eric, crawling over their bodies. Simultaneously these little monsters open their mouths and exhale a acid cloud. Khessa and Eric need to make a DEX save (DC 11).
Khessa's swarm does 24 acid dmg on a failed save or 12 on a successful one. Let's see if they get their breath back: 4 - nope
Eric's swarm does 23 acid dmg on a failed save or 11 on a successful one. Let's see if they get their breath back: 6 - yes!
Khessa does not suspect anything, until the dangerous vermins breath their acid on her! Too surprised to dodge, she activates her magical defenses at the last moment with a quick, elegant gesture, managing to lessen the burns while part of the corrosive power is transferred to her blade.

Khessa shivers at the thought ofvthe harm and havoc the two swarm of enhanced vermins can cause if not disposed of quickly! That's why she decides that Parblex can live a few more seconds, while she slashes wildly with steel and green fire at the dangerous rats!
