From the way the question is phrased, I understand that the right answer would be 'no'... but honestly, if Anator hadn't detected threats, he probably wouldn't have had any reason to stay away from the water... in flying around to check what was there, it probably flew over the water as well, at times.
Zale looks blankly at Khessa for a moment after she says they know the word. She'd completely forgotten about that. Overall though, she's glad when the party decides not to use the portal right now. She's not sure how to feel about being magically transported somewhere...
She stays close to Khessa and Eric as the party walks. Mostly because without the light from Khessa's ring, she can't see almost anything.
Once they get to the lake, she stares into the water grinning. She can't see the small island, but all she knows is there's water in front of her. And she likes water. Buuuut, with the amount of creatures they've met, she is a bit cautious.
Bending down, She picks up a rock and tries to skip it across the lake.
Eric, just at the edge of you Darkvision you see a Giant Frog sitting on the island. It is watching you closely. You notice that in the east there's a promontory:
Anator notice some bats. Not many, bc it's night and most are outside doing bat things. The ones in the cave seem to avoid the island. Anator doesn't notice the Giant Frog.
The Giant Frog turns its attention to Anator, getting ready to jump and swallow him once he gets to close.
Zale, the stone make a first "bounce" on the water but you can't see it anymore. You lean in a bit and suddenly you get something on the left side of you face and eye. It seems like small grains that fall apart like dust when you rub them off.
The Giant Frog now keeps its eyes locked on Zale. It's looking very on edge (but Eric is the only one that notices).
Khessa has not noticed any threat, but is suspicious of the detail that her brother told her and, calling the familiar back to her, she shares with the others: "Hey friends, Anator has noticed that the bats in the cave seem to avoid the island... Perhaps a predator or other threat lurks there. Let's be careful..."
Eric alert the others "Watch out, Get Anator back to you dear" he points in the direction of the creature "there is a strange creature over there, is a gargantuesque frog, our Anator is in danger if he stays there more!" he rises his guard "better keeping our guard up and our gazes pointed to it" he also asks Calvin "Calvin, you are the one who most knows the way of the nature, have you ever seen such a creature before?"
DM: Eric also would try to guess if the frog has some importance in the Bullywugs society or religion (it seems reasonable) Religion check would be 7 while an eventual Nature check would be 14
Khessa (who had already called Anator back to her anyway) smiles gratefully at her beloved dwarf: "Thank you Eric!"
The blonde arcane warrior then proposes: "If you want to see this strange creature better, I can throw the Lighted pebble I have with me on the small island... Shall I?"
Now even more blind than she was before, Zale immediately starts wiping off the stuff that somehow got on her face. "Gah! What the?" She blinks vigorously to try to clear out her eye as she wipes whatever that substance was on her pants. "Eh? A giant frog? Errrr. Is that worth messin with right now? I mean...we don't even have ourselves a vessel to be gettin across this lake. GAH! What in the bloody abyss even is this stuff?!" She starts rubbing her eye again.
"Oh, in case of combat, I believe Mr Jumpy would easily jump or swim to us" Khessa replies to the Dragonborn friend. "But who knows? Mr Jumpy might even be friendly - or not hostile, at least... Do you remember Mr Long Arms? And Calvin might be able to talk to it... he can talk to animals, I remember".

You're not aware of if (Giant) Frogs are important in Bullywug religion, could be? Anyway, they live in similar environments. It is not inconceivable that the Bullywugs domiciled them.

You recognize this grainy substance... You had pirate friends who tried to create powerful explosions without magic. They didn't have much success, but you remember they used sulfur and charcoal. And this... bat guano...

Still rubbing her eye, she grins at Khessa, "Oh I do remember that Mr Long Arms. Heh, perhaps Calvin can convince that beasty to give us a ride?"
"Yes, Calvin can, he could be able to persuade that creature that we are not a threat, sparing us another battle"
