Calvin takes a close look at the creature trying to recall if he has seen anything like it before.
(Nature: 26)
Oh you know of these animals! They are kinda like normal frogs, except in size. The tongues of these beasts can grow up to 18 ft! And you are sure that the Bullywugs domiciled them. They are actually the Bullywug equivalent of (Ambush) Drakes and extremely loyal to their masters, especially when raised from birth.
"If it is just an animal," Khessa muses aloud "no matter how big, Calvin should be able to talk to it... Maybe we can convince it that it can go away freely, now".
Upon recognising the creature for what it is, Calvin reverts to his human form to explain to the rest of the group.
"So, these are creatures of the Bullywugs. However, they have a long tongue, with some having a tongue up to eighteen feet. Yet, they are extremely loyal to the Bullywugs."

"Try it, then!" Khessa encourages Calvin "If things go bad, we will fight it together. But there would be no real need... The truth is that by now the Bullywugs, without their leader and the help of the Cult, will have been massacred by the Lizardfolk already - or soon they will be. So the poor toad is now probably left without anyone who cares for it."
"We could embellish the truth a little..." the blonde arcane warrior muses aloud "tell him for example that the Bullywugs have discovered that there is grave danger and are asking it to run away immediately into the swamps, where they will try to reach it as soon as possible. They sent you to warn it, because you know the language of the toads and the Bullywugs are all busy at the moment, because of the danger you mentioned".
"Or something else, if you come up with better ideas" the tall adventuress concludes. "After all, you know better than me which concepts an animal can grasp and which ones it can not".
'I can't understand what it is saying,' Khessa follows with interest the way things develop 'but at least that seemed quite a friendly *croak croak*... Calvin is doing well!'
"GAH!" Zale yelps in disgust when she realizes what the sandy substance is. "One o them bats pooped on me!!!!! Bloody Bastards!" She shakes a fist at the cave ceiling, then sticks her hand in the water and tries to wash of her face. "That's bloody disgusting-eh?" She looks up at Khessa then realizes that she's missed part of the conversation. Seems like Calvin's already working his magic.
Calvin, you notice the Giant Frog is trying to tell you something. You think he's urging you to leave: back the way you came or to continue along the path to the south. It looks a bit panicky.
Zale looks like she's getting a bit antsy with all this waiting around, but she doesn't complain about anything other than the bat guano on her face. Even after splashing water on herself to try to get it off, she still feels like it's still there.
Khessa enjoys the few moments of calm, approaching Eric and putting her arm around his shoulders, while she continues to confidently await the outcome of Calvin's efforts. His natural magic is proving truly precious...

The Giant Frog seems to be having a nice chat with Calvin. You also hear hear more croaking and at least a dozen splashes fromthe southwest.
All:
Hanging around here all this time has unsured that you can deduce that there's a passage below the water level, connecting this "Froglake" with the swamp outside. Also, could you all pleas roll a d20? (And add your initiative modifier)

"Do you think we can handle it without fighting? Or should we attack it before it does?" says the dwarf, tightening his grip on his hammer

"Does it mean we cannot deal with it without fighting?"
"Well, it's mostly a frog," Calvin shrugs. "I admit it's a rather large frog. I could try befriending the frog."

Calvin walks close to the creature until he is within range. Then takes a moment to call on the powers of nature and make them hear his command.
"Amicitia," he says. Then suddenly there is a warm glow about him. "We mean you no harm."

Calvin closely watches the frog-like creature, "Hmm, one moment. I do have a way of communicating with animals. If you all remember?"
He then mutters something else under his breath as he waves his hands around.
