"If it looks to good to be true, it is...Careful friends." Sparhawk keeps back, spell components certainly not his specialty. "I wonder if there are any healing potions in this room, but it feels pretty risky to me for some reason."
Sparhawk takes out a javelin and pries it between the hallway and the inside of the door (Like a door stop). He doesn't want the door to close and lock behind any that go in.
Sorsha heitates at first but then she cautiously steps into the storage, carefully checking the jars. Investigation: 5 d4:2 d20: 10
You grab one of the pottery jars and inside it is a jeweled horn of some beast. It’s base is capped with a gold ring, with the gold trailing up the horn like vines. The design interweaves and branches out with endings as buds where the gems are embedded

"What's in there? More corpses?"
He is unable to see anything behind him, but the feeling doesn’t go away
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vars also moves to check the jars, though he is rather doubtful about finding anything of use in them. He keeps his eyes peeled for evidence of another murder as he investigates the shelves:

The jars Vars opens up is filled with tiny bells. He finds no evidence of murder in this room. Just shelves full of these components
"Are we boring you Frangipani?"Sorsha says with a quick smirk. "Probably nothing pertaining to our investigation in here."Sorsha says with a amll sigh and moves to leave the room, moving cautiously along the corridor to the next door on her left side, peeking in. Perception: 22
Sorsha heads down the hallway to the next door. As she passes by the warship painting she realizes it has changed. It is no longer a painting of the doomed ship, but a portrait of Bjorn. He is desperately fighting off hundreds of rats.
When she gets to the 2nd door and looks inside, she can see more shelving, bu this time filled with books. It’s a library. There are two comfortable looking chairs, a small counter with some bottles of what appears to be liquor along with a few glasses and thousands of books. This room has a clear 1/2 dome of glass in the ceiling with a magical light emanating from it.
Sorsha smiles to herself as she realizes the true enchantment of the painting. As she enters the library she starts to look around for a book lying around among all the other books, a book that may seem like it has been read fairly recently. Investigation: 9
"Ah, so the painting changes and shows us something that we fear." Sparhawk grabs his javelin and continues toward the library. Peering inside, he looks for a book that might interest him (military strategy, sword/shield techniques, the secret code of the paladin, etc.) Investigation: 10
Bjorn glares suspiciously at the painting as he stalks past it. "Books, books, books. How does anyone read all this in a lifetime?" He takes a look at the liquor, thinking to be the last to leave the room, and to tuck those bottles into his bag on the way out.

None of the books seem recently read, but there are several that seem to be out of place. They don’t match the alphabetical order the rest of the books are arranged in. It looks as if someone had rifled through them and put them back in a disorderly fashion.

He doesn’t find those types of books, there are several books about monsters and creatures that seem interesting. “ Tome of Foes” by Mordenkainen , “ Mimics: Anatomy and habits” by Annonymous, “ Kobolds: essence of the dragon pups” by Hobby Stonehand
Hm. Can Bjorn help Sorsha collect these misplaced books? Maybe she starts at "A," and he starts at "Z," and they work towards the middle? Stack whatever we find on the table?

Vars checks for books pertaining to the Red Wizards of Thay. Perhaps Abernath showed interest in them before all this happened.
