((wait, did Jhaartael run into Tamryn in the Navigation room? Did he see Akyan as well? If so, he would bring them back with him to the others - and then they would have returned to the nav room: so are we all in the nav room now?))
After hearing Lorna’s response, Kyrsa had gone quiet. It wasn’t that she felt pity for the slaver, but…much of what had just happened brought back memories she’d tried so hard to forget. Aeric’s little speech about leaving nothing left, avenging the ghosts, Lorna’s explanation of souls, it all made her mind turn to the past. She might not have dealt with slavers, not this kind anyways, but it made her think of all the people she never took vengeance on. She probably never will. That…wasn’t something she’d ever considered an option, and she was well aware that vengeance never really solved anything.
Mina’s voice snaps her out of her thoughts and she nods, “Yes.” For a moment, the white in her hair seemed to grow, overpowering the blue. But it was gone in a moment, and she followed Mina as if nothing had happened.
Before departing the ritual chamber following Jhaartael, Lyndaran stops and kneels again over Aeric's things. Taking out a handkerchief he puts the thumb on it. He stands but hesitates. Gows back to Aeric¡s behaded corpse and cut off both thumbs and put them into the handkerchief too. He folds it and takes them with him.
He is sure that Tamryn would be interested in them... or at least in one of them, but he wasn't sure which one so, he took all three of Aeric's thumbs with him for his comrade.

(Um. Am I missing something here? Are we losing something in translation or is it a euphemism for something?)
The entire party takes their leave of Lornaand Bartyand returns to the main deck, reuniting in the Chart Room. Again, there is a central table with several yellowed and cracked maps spread out, and some basic navigation instruments in plain sight. There are shelves crammed with boxes and binders of other sea-maps and star-maps, maintenance records, cargo inventories and other paperwork related to keeping a ship-based business afloat (see what I did there?).
From behind one bookcase there is a strong aura of necromantic magic.
Insight on Kyrsa (up to Aroc_of_eaf if they want to do anything with this) 18
As they enter the Chart Room, Mina stops in her tracks. She stands there, slowly taking it all in. Eventually, she walks to the maps and fingers through them, then her eyes continue to take in all the other boxes and binders and a smile grows on her face. "Yes... I could definitely be at home here.." she says mainly to herself.

( Aeric had a thumb of other person among his things, if I recall correctly, and he himself has two of his own… he asked for his thumb, but didn’t say which one… so I was just fooling around and taken all of them 😅)
Jhaartael indicates the shelf and panel behind which the necromantic aura eminates. "Tamryn, I sense an aura of necromancy from behind here. I had hoped you could see if there is any danger in revealing what is behind it."
Jhaartael will HelpTamryn to check for access and traps by precisely indicating where the magic is located.
The wood elf listens to Jhaartael's careful directions, and then easily manages to discover the mechanism to reveal a hidden compartment. Inside you find an small whistle, carved from transparent crystal into the shape of a tiny dragon curled up like a snail. Dwarvish runes are carved into the whistle. There is also a tome, bound in what appears to be humanoid skin, with a bone clasp and spine. Both items radiate necromantic energy.
Jhaartael suggests "Careful with those. Allow me."He scoops them up, carefully using the fabric of his long sleeves so as not to touch either directly with his own flesh. He places them gingerly into his backpack and closes it immediately. "I will examine those when I have more energy to engage with the arcane - and I also would like to get Breezy's eyes on them."
"So are we goingo to keep the boat then?" asks Lyndaran " If nothing it could act as a backup safe house, or it wouldn't hur to split the teams, so The Circle activities are harder to track. Let's head back get some rest an debrief the others and see what we can do from here."
"Yes, we are keeping the boat." Mina replies to Lyndaran, paying no heed to the book and whistle as she continues to drink in all that surrounds her in the Chart Room. As Lyndaran mentions heading back, she finally nods and checks to see if there is anything she can grab on the way to help familiarize herself with the vessel when they are back at the safe house.
Akyan watches Jhaartael pick up the book and the whistle but remains silent. He doesn't think it's a bad idea to keep the boat, as long as the ghosts behave themselves that is.
After the others finish looking around he says, "Well, if we are done here, we should probably get going. We do have somewhere we need to be after all."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Oof, don't know if I can do much about that lol. But Kyrsa isn't too keen on letting her feelings show so I will roll deception anyways: 4)
"I agree, we should keep the vessel," Kyrsa says, wishing that it was in better condition and thinking of ways that it could be put to use. She eyes the objects as Jhaarteal stows them away, but doesn't say anything about them. "Do we still wish to move on the enemy HQ? If so, we should get moving."

(I'm going to say "probably" to questions 1 and 2. The third question is up to your teammates.)
(Yes for Lyndaran )

Mina looks solemnly at Lyndaran as he takes her shoulder. She tries to give him a smile and nods as he tries his best to reassure her.
Taking the ring from him, she follows Lyndaran and Jhaartael to the navigation room. She turns to Kyrsa, "You coming?"

Focused on finding Tamryn, Akyan glances at the closed door but proceeds through the open one instead. (Unless Jhaartael stops him)
