"I guess you are right about that." Akyan replies to Jhaartael. "If it helps anything. I could just leave my rapier with someone else. If they are taking weapons off anyone without a ring at the gates. It might be even more suspicious if we take off the rings inside and still carry visible weapons."
Tamryn says, "Killing them and disposing of the bodies is the only way to ensure that Nyla's tavern isn't targeted. We make the delivery, then the orcs disappear. They are still implicated in the fire, because they disappear after it. There really isn't a safer way of doing this. Also, if you're feeling guilty, please remember that they were prepared to murder poor vulnerable me and leave my body in an alley."
"I agree with Tamryn," Kyrsa says firmly. "There is no reason to feel guilty about killing them, and if they disappear then it will do nothing but further the evidence against them...assuming none of us are caught and your identities remain hidden."
Akyan discovers four amulets on neck chains, one on each half-orc. The amulets are stamped with two serpents facing away from each other. Or perhaps it is the same serpent with two heads? Difficult to tell....
Looking over Akyan's shoulder, Nyblond comments, "Two snakes... That likely signifies access up to the second floor. Three would be for the third floor, etc. Probably."
Mina nods in agreement about the disposal of the orcs. At least their group seemed to be more and more coming together in decisions. After talking with the halfling though, all she can think about is Thamior again and the anger courses through her.
Looking to Nyblond, she asks, "Where would you like this to happen? I'm assuming you don't want me to slit this half-orc's throat right here on your floor? But my companions are right. This is the best way for them to disappear and others involved with them to not get hurt."
Earlier, Mina agrees to head with Kyrsa through the secret tunnel to try and get the documents for Nyblond.
The cleric replies to Mina, "There is an exit in the back that leads to a dark alleyway. It would not be the first killing to occur there, I can assure you. If you like, I can dispose of the bodies. Unless you have a plan..."
Akyan hands an amulet to Tamryn, Lyndaran, and Jhaartael. "If you can dispose of them for us, I think that would be for the best. We are on a time limit after all, so we best get on with our mission."
"I can do the deed"he says already grabbing one of them and heading towards the back alley the cleric said. Once the half-orcs are there he will make sure that nobody is paying attention to there and proceed to stab them at the back of the skull with his dagger.
Nyblond suggests, "Be my guest. I suggest finding a barrel or tub to catch the blood, otherwise it can be tricky to clean up. Assuming you're trying to leave no trace."
(Athkatla is a ruthless city ruled by corrupt officials and cartels, but there has to be some sort of order as well, so four bodies just dumped in an alley would attract some sort of official attention, FYI)
(So, as per the discussion in the OOC chat, I'm not going to require attack and damage rolls to kill the half-orcs, thus depriving myself of the entertainment of watching you roll nat 1's)
Akyan sighs and moves to stop Lyndaran, "I could just do it. There won't be any blood that way, so it will be easier for Nyblond to dispose of them." He helps the wood elf move the bodies farther down the alley then summons two psychic daggers, which he throws into the half-orc's throats. The blades make no sound, and disappear a couple seconds after impact. With an emotionless expression, he summons two more and does the same to the remaining half-orcs. Once he's done, he turns back down the alley and walks back to the group.
Kyrsa nods in approval at Akyan's demonstration, "Alright then, Nyblond, would you like help getting them out of here? Or are you comfortable dealing with that yourself? We need to get a move on if we hope to finish this before our time is up."
Nyblond inclines his head toward your party. "Leave it to me, it's the least I can do in exchange for the great service you are rendering to me, and to our mutual friends."
Kyrsa smiles, "Thank you." She salutes Nyblond and then signals for everyone to move out, forgetting for a moment that this isn't a military opposition.
"Lets go then, you ready Mina?" She gives Mina a small smile before looking to Akyan, "Keep us updated on your progress. Do you need to reestablish the link with either of us? How long do we have before the link ends? It would be best if we can complete this before that happens, if that is an option at least."
(I actually just looked back through the game log and I don't think I rolled how long that link would last. I'll do that now, then we can subtract the time from this roll.)
So 3 hrs minus however long it took to deal with the orcs. I believe he made the link with Mina just as Tamryn was about to interact with the one outside the tavern.
Mina smiles at Kyrsa, "Oh yeah, I'm ready. I do wonder if I'll find any more info on my brother. Did I tell you that the halfling at the bar had also run into him? In the same disguise as Aeric mentioned? Said he was nicer than most and a good tipper. Man, I really want to know what happened. But yes, I am focused. We need to get in, and find that paperwork for Nyblond."

Lyndaran agrees with the overall plan but, even to his surprise adds to Tamryn's words.
"Wasn't the idea to frame them " he says pointing to the half-orcs " for the fire? Perhaps it's safer as you say so they cannot identify us later... "
