The guards in the courtyard are mostly grumbling about: weather, politics, paychecks, spouses, kids, and uncomfortable armor. Your presence seems to barely register with them.
You find yourself mystified as to Mallika's intentions towards you. She seems neither hostile nor friendly, neither grateful nor hateful. Do you follow the party inside?
Akyan jumps through the window. Hearing the screaming he summons his psychic blades and stabs the screaming half-orc. "Off to a great start already." He growls to himself.

Kyrsa looks angry, her eyes alight like two blazing suns. She speaks in a harsh whisper, "This is why we should have discussed this before now. If you had waited, Jhaartael could have hypnotized him quietly, now..." She takes a breath, forcing herself to be calm. It had been to long since she'd been in her summer season, she'd forgotten how easy it was to lose her temper. Letting out the breath, she says quietly, "What's done is done, we will have to deal with the consequences."
She turns towards the door, listening for oncoming footsteps.
Tamryn looks at Annika, nods once, and begins to follow Mallika and Fatima into House Dannihyr. He continues to carefully observe his surroundings, looking for clues to Mallika's mood, and, honestly, secrets that he can use. He is still reading lips to see if anyone is discussing him or Annika.
Akyan let's his blades disappear as he steps away from the body. "I don't really want to do this, but..." He activates his hat, disguising himself as the dead half-orc. "Quickly, put the body under the bed and cover the blood. If anyone comes up here, I'll just tell them I was having a bad dream or something." He says all of this in a harsh whisper. Then he starts pulling the half-orc's body off the bed and will shove it underneath it, moving anything that is already under there so that it is in front of the body. If he can't fit the body under there, he will suggest that they lower it to the ground outside the window.
Lyndaran opens the chest at the feet of the half-orc bunk and search’s for something to wrap the body like another set of sheets or a cloak. Then helps Akyan hide it beneath the farthest bunk from the door. He also cleans the blood that could have been spilled.
“I will only apologize for not been able to finish him on the first strike” says the wood elf quietly “they don’t deserve a second chance, neither a trial. Even your mind tricks have a limited time. Could help us for the time being but it wouldn’t stop them for enslaving young girls. Let’s not forget that. “ he says those words without patronizing anyone just as he was recalling for everyone. “In time they all must fall. The city and the world will be a better place without them”
(Still need initiative roll for Kyrsa, unless I missed it)
Lyndaran does find a cloak in the small chest, but nothing else of any great value.
Akyan successfully changes his appearance and together with Lyndaran wraps the body in the cloak. The two of them are in process of carrying or dragging the body across the room when Kyrsa hears heavy footsteps rapidly getting louder, as if ascending stairs.
As you pass through the doors, the six armed men fall in behind you. You follow Mallika and Fatima through a well-lit entryway with marble flooring and expensive-looking art on the walls. Passing several doors, you are led to a room with a long table and many chairs. The guards wait outside the room. Mallika sits at the head of the table, with her daughter on her left. She indicates for you an Annika to sit in chairs to her right. The table is set for a meal, and servants immediately begin bringing in platters of pastries, eggs, bacon, waffles and fruit.
Following Mallika's lead, as the servants bring the various dishes to you, you indicate your choices and they fill your plate.
After the servants depart, Mallika says, "Again, you have my thanks, Gorondarel and Gretchen. Please, I would love to hear your side of the tale. How is it that you so fortuitously came upon this group of slaver vermin in the middle of the night, and routed them, freeing Fatima and her maids?"

"Believe me, I have no issue with killing them. Though I probably would have gagged him first."
Akyan is lets go of the body, motioning for the others to continue disposing of it. Then he approaches the door, positioning himself to that if the door is opened, he will be blocking the view into the room. He attempts to make his voice a bit deeper, trying his best to sound like the half-orc, though he didn't have much to go off of.
"Yes, Yes! I'm fine! Just had a bad dream is all. Even fell out of my bed."
He doesn't open the door yet, he's trying to stall so the others can take care of the body.

"I agree with you Lyndaran, these thugs deserve no mercy. Regardless, next time consider your chances of success and failure and the consequences of the latter before you act. That is all I'm asking. We are working as a team, not as individuals," She says this quickly as she listens. Hearing the footsteps coming up the stairs she lets out a hissing whisper, "Hurry, we've got company. Akyan, you get over here. Jhaartael, you too, you might have to step in. I'll help with that." She turns to help Lyndaran with the body so that Akyan can deal with the oncoming individual.
(Sorry about being mia, finally getting over COVID)
Mina assists with the body then as the voice shouts on the other side of the door, she readies her bow. If they step inside the room and see anyone other than Akyan, she'll lose her arrow at them.

Tamryn says, "Of course, my lady. Gretchen and I work together with a group whose aim is to make the slave trade unprofitable. We hope to do this by disrupting slave caravans, as we did last night, but also through tracing the flow of money in the slave trade and trying to...ahem...divest traders of their assets. We are trying to do this quietly, especially in the area around Athkatla, but I hope someday our efforts will render remarkable results."
"I'm sure your daughter already guessed that Gretchen and I were not alone last night. For raids like that, we bring in like-minded warriors and mercenaries. As to where we learned of that particular caravan, I'm afraid I cannot tell you. Trade secrets and all that. I hope it is sufficient if I say that we try very hard to keep a close eye on slavers."
"Now, may I ask after your chef? This meal looks exquisite."
(Sorry about being mia, finally getting over COVID)
(Ouch, glad you're feeling better.)
The footsteps continue to approach and the door begins to swing open. Just in time, the disguised Akyan catches the door with his hand and foot so that it is only open six or so inches, and stops it. Looking through the opening, he sees a female green Dragonborn peering back at him. She stops, startled, and says, "Uh, you sure you're ok? That was quite the bloodcurdling scream you let out..."
For the moment, everyone else in the room is out of the line of sight.

The half orc falls silent, its greenish blood dripping down off the edge of the cot.
At this moment, there are no other creatures in the room. However, let's keep initiative order for now. What will you do?
