Prior to arrival at the warehouse, Jhaartael would have led the loud procession in front of him and past the warehouse before gradually reducing the sound to nothing. His hope would be that such commotion might scare any slavers in the warehouse and the procession might even catch any such fleeing from the warehouse.
(Sorry, not sure I understand. I thought there was an auditory illusion causing crowds to part before you, allowing you to flee unimpeded. Were you actually attempting to herd people forward with the illusion? I think that would be more difficult, as most people would duck into side streets or alleys rather than just run forward.)
(So when the darkness started and Tamryn yelled to block the doors, Mina would have blocked the door she just came through. - sorry I didn't get this out til now, hope that's alright)
While Kyrsa talks to Lyndaran and Jhaateal, Mina starts searching the warehouse, making sure that the man just didn't hide in here attempting to wait them out.
(So because of initiative order, Aeric would have been able to disengage and move before Mina could have closed the door. Ifthat was the exit he used. Make an Investigation roll, please.)

((My misunderstanding... No worries... I was trying to clear a path and sound like the cops were coming in order to provide a distraction for my colleagues if they needed it... If any decided to follow rather than clear out, that would just help bolster the distraction))

Ok, I think I'm going to rule that the illusion was an effective way for you to vacate the neighborhood where you ambushed the duergar, but that after a few blocks, the crowds had dissipated, and the illusion was moot at that point.
Akyan stand up, and sighs, "Well that's a shame, we probably could have used her to find Aeric." He looks to Jhaartael and Lyndaran, "You two didn't happen to see him run by on your way here did you?" He doesn't sound hopeful, but he figured he'd ask. He does his best to describe the man to them.
"I do agree with Kyrsa though." He continues, "We should let Team 2 know what's happened. Unless they still think we can deal with this, they may end up having to take over this mission."
Jhaartael goes to one of the openings to the building - holding out his arm. A moment later with a flutter of wings, the Raven is perched on his arm. He approaches Mina, "Please describe him so that the Raven knows who to look for."
Mina blushes a bit realizing her mistake that of course Jhaartael doesn't know who to look for. Her blue cheeks turn a subtle purple as she does.
"Oh yes.. sorry. Well, he has to be in bad shape, several of us hit him before he escaped, and he is torn up about the death of that one there."she points to Liesel. "But from what I can recall, he was sort of tall, long braided brown hair, dark leather armor with a dark green or brown colored cloak. Oh! he did have a sort of mask thing on one side of his face, not sure what that was about. Does that help? If not, others might have noticed more, I wasn't too close to him."
Jhaartael smiles wanly at Mina, "It will do." He communicates what's he can of this telepathically to the familiar and asks it it to take flight and see if it can find the slaver. If the Raven cannot spot the fugitive before going out of range, the Raven should return.
The raven executes search pattern Delta-6 (j/k it's just spiraling outward from the warehouse in ever-increasing radius). It eventually reports back that it saw no one fleeing rapidly in the streets of that description, but that there were many tall humans with brown hair wearing cloaks, walking in several different directions.
Someone with high passive perception eventually finds some drops of blood over under the stairs (inside the warehouse), and a trapdoor leading down into the city sewers, which quickly branch off in all directions. Any blood left behind would have mingled with mud and sludge and would be nigh-impossible to track without magic of some sort.
“Yes, let’s gather our intel and make haste. Whatever we learn may, no doubt, be shortly changed but it is still a start. The good news is that he thinks me a human, Akyan an orc (for now), and hardly got a look at Kyrsa and Mina before disappearing. Hopefully, they’ll be more interested in trying to discover who “Katryn” is than us.”
A quick search of the office reveals another ledger and another lockbox with 600 gold. You estimate that the half-orc and the dwarf that went out to verify your story may be returning soon. Liesel's corpse still lies in the middle of the room.
"Are we in a rush here? Should we go out and get lost in the city before go to the safe house?"asks Lyndaran who has assumed his lookout position near the door.
Bending down, Jhaartael collects some of the blood in a vial. He then stands with poise, but his face shows his fatigue, "I can lend mundane assistance to whatever we do next, but I afraid my grip on the threads of the Weave is slipping. I sent a note to the safehouse, so the other team may join us soon. I vote to leave and try to meet them on the way back to the safehouse."
Akyan shrugs, but doesn't return Lydaran's smile. Not one of these missions had gone well in his opinion, this one being the worst. He can't help but blame himself for how wrong they went. Sure, he was still getting used to a team setting, but he'd done this sort of mission many times. One would think he'd be better at them.
He nod's to what Tamryn says. That had been quick thinking on the wood elf's part.
"I agree with Jhaartael, we should get moving. I don't feel like dealing with the other two right now."
Grunting, he pulls the Aeric's crossbow bolt out of his shoulder. He almost throws the bolt next to the girl's body, but stops himself. If they could potentially use Aeric's blood to track the thug, what's stopping the serpents from using his blood to do the same? Gritting his teeth, he clutches the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding, and stows the bloody bolt in his pack after wrapping it in some cloth.
Mina's mind is only on one thing. She knows this probably compromises the group a bit, but for the moment, she cares not. She looks to whoever has the ledger, "May I see that please?"

She seems well and truly dead. She could be revived if you wanted to spend the time and money to take her to a temple. But otherwise, she's gone.

(Ah, I getcha.)
Mina investigation 12
Mina's search does not turn up any hidden rogues.

Mina turns to Jhaartael after her miserable search, "Any way you can send up your raven? See if your bird can spot him if he is running away?"
