Round 3
Tamryn- Stands unhidden, presumably on the stairs or on the main floor. He carefully aims at the Serpent leader, and scores a hit (-15) Aeric Deception roll 13 vs 14 Insight.
Kyrsa successfully breaks down the door and rushes into the room, using her bonus action to teleport into the fray with Aeric and Akyan. (door-breaking was her action this round, so the attacks wait until next round)
Mina follows Kyrsa, and seeing Aeric in combat with her friend, fires another projectile, further wounding him (-25).
Liesel is dead on the floor. Aeric, tears streaming down his face, viciously continues his attack on Akyan
Shortsword Attack: 14 Damage: 7 piercing
Dagger Attack: 10 Damage: 6 piercing
Akyan (if still conscious) retaliates, scoring two gashes on the human rogue. (-37)
Jhaartael and Lyndaran are still about one minute (10 rounds) away as they speed through the streets of Athkatla.
Jhaartael pants as he says to Lyndaran ,"as we get closer to the warehouse we should duck out of the way, and let it following parade pass us by."
He starts to slow down to merge with more of the parade behind them, moving toward the side of the street. He increases the volume of the illusion driving them all forward.
(We are currently waiting to discover what Kyrsa and Mina do in round 4. Did Kyrsa want to use the melee attacks she rolled before against a new target, Aeric, or is there a different, new plan?)
Tamryn 22- The wood elf scores another powerful hit with his bow on the cartel leader (-53) (Aeric Deception check 19 vs 9 Insight)
Mina 17- The ranger follows up with a second arrow from the opposite side, skewering the grieving Aeric (-68) who is bleeding profusely from multiple wounds.
Kyrsa 14- Kyrsa attacks twice with her shortswords; the first blow blocked by Aeric's dagger, but the second smacks him on the head with the flat of the blade (-71)
Aeric 13- Weak and wounded, the Serpent pulls a vial from his belt pouch and smashes it on the wooden floor. The room is instantly filled with a thick purple-black fog, which blocks normal and dark-vision, muffles sounds, and even masks scents. Truesight or blindsight would be unaffected. The vapor extends sixty feet in every direction from the thug's last known location, encompassing everyone present.
Akyan 9 is currently enveloped in a magical cloud.
Jhaartael and Lyndaran - You have moved away from the main roads to side streets, and sense no obvious pursuit.
Tamryn shouts, "Block the doors! Keep him contained!" He then moves to the office door and shuts it, remaining outside the office and attempts to Hide. He'll hold his action until he senses Aeric near him.
Akyan gasps as the cloud hits him. Unable to see where the thug or any of his companions are at the moment, he dashes towards where he last saw the thug. (was 5ft in front of him) Attempting to grapple him if he comes into contact with him. (or anyone else he happens to run into.)
Unfortunately none of you have any sense of where Aeric may have slipped off to, or really of each other. The fog dissipates after 5 rounds, by which time there is no sign of the Serpent leader.
Kyrsa looks around, cursing, "Great. Now he's seen half of our faces, and he got away." She wipes off her swords and forcefully shoves them into their scabbards, then lets out a breath. As poorly as this mission had gone, it could have been worse. At least they'd managed to get in in time to help Akyan. She hadn't lost any teammates, so that was good.
She turns to Lyndaran and Jhaarteal as they arrive, "Good, you're back." She looks around, "Please tell me you dealt with the dwarf. At least then we'd have some good news. This didn't go well...in fact it went particularly poorly. I think... our best option would be to go back to base and explain the situation to Spar. Since the leader here escaped, either we are going to have to rethink striking HQ, or we are going to have to strike as soon as possible."
She looks to Tamryn, "Did you get what you needed? Or will this cause problems with your...job, as well?"
(So when the darkness started and Tamryn yelled to block the doors, Mina would have blocked the door she just came through. - sorry I didn't get this out til now, hope that's alright)
While Kyrsa talks to Lyndaran and Jhaateal, Mina starts searching the warehouse, making sure that the man just didn't hide in here attempting to wait them out.
Prior to arrival at the warehouse, Jhaartael would have led the loud procession in front of him and past the warehouse before gradually reducing the sound to nothing. His hope would be that such commotion might scare any slavers in the warehouse and the procession might even catch any such fleeing from the warehouse.
"We completed our task." Jhaartael informs Krysa. Gesturing to the body Akyan has shown concern over he asks, "Did they have slaves here? Was one of the captive women killed in the fight?"
"The duergar has parted with his ancestors... "says Lyndaran to Kyrsa."Did you attacked without us? Why.... "he hesitates " I mean... why wouldn't you had waited for us? If we had failed, they could had been alerted and you all been walked directly to a trap... and we could have been useful taking them down... are you all alright?"he asks not angry at all, but confused.

While Kyrsa talks to Lyndaran and Jhaateal, Mina starts searching the warehouse, making sure that the man just didn't hide in here attempting to wait them out.
(So because of initiative order, Aeric would have been able to disengage and move before Mina could have closed the door. Ifthat was the exit he used. Make an Investigation roll, please.)

Same thing here. By the time Akyan rushed forward, Aeric was no longer in the same location.

Once the fog clears, Akyan will bend down and check Leisel’s body. He’s a bit shaken from what just happened. Clearly Aeric had cared for this girl.
First he checks to see if she’s actually dead, if she is dead and not just unconscious, he will search her body for anything useful.
