Stonegrin puts a hand on Sildar's shoulder and says a few words, casting Cure Wounds on him. "I don't know bout Hospitable, I'm just doing what seems like the right thing to do is all"
You see a few ribs slide back into place, and most of the bruises and swelling subside in his face.
"I think I can see the town up ahead."
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins — crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars — surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
Sildar seems much more at ease.
“My friends,” he says, “let us secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”
Sildar approaches the woman behind the counter and she opens up a lock-box, presenting him with a key. She gestures toward a staircase. Sildar then heads upstairs.
In the center of town stands a large, newly built roadhouse of fieldstone and rough-hewn timbers. The common room is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider, all of them eyeing you with curiosity.
Stonegrin will find a seat and sit down, he watches as Sildar disappears with the key but assumes he is going to rest. "Come on lads, lets have a drink and celebrate our small victories shall we?"
Stonegrin nods and puts up two fingers for the barmaid to bring two ales. "So lad, tell me whatcha think of our journey thus far eh?" Stonegrin says turning to Mitsu with a wide smile.
At the bar you see an old farmer sitting at the bar chatting with the barmaid: “Elsa, have you seen Sister Garaele lately? I've thought about seeing her over at the Shrine of Luck. She recently left town for a few days, but since she returned wounded and exhausted, I haven't wanted to pry.”
You also hear Elsa, the barmaid reply "Daran Edermath, the orchard keeper, is a former adventurer. She may have told him about what she encountered, but she hasn't been in. I'll be sure to ask if she does!"
Stonegrin
The barmaid looks over at you from across the counter, and holding up two fingers, she waves in confusion as if it were a foreign greeting.
At the table next to you, there are a man with a pick-axe strapped to his back and a woman seated. There is another woman standing there, and you also hear their conversation.m
The miner tells the other two “Orc raiders have been seen on the east end of Triboar Trail. The townmaster is looking for someone to run them off.”
The seated woman responds “But want about The Redbrands? They hassle every business in town, except for the Phandalin Miner’s Exchange. They probably don’t want trouble with Halia Thornton, who runs it. What do you think, Trilena?” she asks the woman standing.
Trilena responds in a hushed tone "Thel Dendrar, the woodcarver, stood up to the Redbrands a tenday ago when they came by his shop and leered at his wife. The ruffians murdered him in broad daylight! Several townsfolk saw it happen. The Redbrands grabbed his body, and now his wife, daughter, and son have gone missing too. You'd think the Townmaster would want people looking into that first! It's a shame... " she returns to her normal volume "I'll be back with your orders, I need to greet these newcomers.
She approaches your table smiling "What can I get for you dear? And what brings you and your friends into town?"
Meleager
After a few moments Sildar opens the door to his room. "Stonegrin! Hello...if you're looking to collect payment, it will have to wait until tomorrow. I've got to secure a loan since everything was taken from me by those nasty Goblins."
Stonegrin puts a hand on Sildar's shoulder and says a few words, casting Cure Wounds on him. "I don't know bout Hospitable, I'm just doing what seems like the right thing to do is all"
"Thanks friend, I feel much better."
You see a few ribs slide back into place, and most of the bruises and swelling subside in his face.

"Now that's what I am talking about lad, a pint and a biscuit will do all of us good"
Entering the town, you see a sign for the Stonehill Inn.
'What do you say about this place? It seems convenient enough, and there's a place to tie up the oxen right out front!" Suggests Sildar
"I'm fine with it" Stonegrin says nodding toward the establishment.
Mitsu nods, looking back at Meleager to see his reaction.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Meleager, stretching his arms and raising his hat after a long nap, asks to Sindar:
Have you ever been here?
“I’ve heard that it’s quaint, but this is my first time in these parts” he dismounts the cart and walks into the Stonehill Inn.
Meleager looks for someone to take care of the cart
There is a water trough at the tie-up. And there is a large window that will allow you to keep an eye on the cart while in the tavern.
Mitsu heads inside after Sildar, trying to stay inconspicous.
Stealth: 13

Perception: 17
And that's all I have to say about that.
Meleager asks to Stonegrin
Order also for me, an ale, I will join you shortly.
Then he goes upstairs with Sildar, if he is already inside the room, he knocks
Stonegrin nods and puts up two fingers for the barmaid to bring two ales. "So lad, tell me whatcha think of our journey thus far eh?" Stonegrin says turning to Mitsu with a wide smile.

OOC: I am at the table with Mitsu, Meleager went upstairs to talk to Sildar.
Fixed sorry, mistyped...
