Stonegrin's mouth opens into a wide toothy grin, "HA!" he exclaims as he points out his handy work to the rest of the group. "Good show lads" he walks towards the mouth of the cave and retrieves his handaxe from the goblins skull, slinging it's blood and brain matter on the ground next to it. He see's the wolves and smiles once more, "Oh look at that boys, aren't they beautiful. Let's see how loyal they are to their keepers" he sets to removing a piece of flesh from the downed goblin and then throws it to the wolves.
Mitsu slips ahead quietly, walking down the dark passage (he's going the direction that the wolves aren't).
He moves quietly, looks around, then comes back to the outside.
Stealth: 12
Perception: 15
OOC: Mitsu has darkvision out to 120 feet, if that will matter. If it's dark (dim with darkvision) down the passage, here's a second perception roll for disadvantage: 8
OOC: So to confirm were the wolves barring our way forward and now they are good, or were they kind of off in their own separate area? Is there anything of note around the wolves if they are off in their own separate area?
The wolves are not barring your way forward. They are in a cavern east of the stream. You can follow the stream deeper into the cave or explore the wolves area safely.
A narrow opening in the east wall leads to a natural chimney that climbs 30 feet. At the base of the fissure is rubbish that’s been discarded through the opening above. You may attempt to ascend the chimney shaft by making a Strength (Athletics) check.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zuix
Trying to stay out of the way and be of some help, Zuix searches the area for anything he might want to take note of and tell the others. perception-22
When he is searching for stuff he ask softly "I dont have much healing left, but does anyone need it?'
Being as quite as he can and still let the others know ' hey I see a light up here, I can not go up this, cause well this shell on me keeps me from climbing in tight spots.'
Zuix tries to get a better look at the light as he is talking to the others.
- not tight, fine, large enough for one or two to pass together? I guess only one...
- pratically, though disgusting, the fall would be on top of the garbage (i.e. soft?)
- what are the "walls" of the shaft made of? stone? levigated stone? or something more artificial like muck or else? Because I am thinking about using something (like hamer, javelins and the like) on the walls if they are soft enough.
@For everyone: I'd say, in a way or another, unless we want to explore the real entrance (should be on top of the fall, so a long way around the hill) the chimney is our way up.
waiting for DM answers, know that my athletics is +5 (better than nothing), so I can be first if you both use the HELP action at least in the first passage it might be useful.
Then Ill drop you a rope.
moreover, if you have cantrip like guidance or such, the better
Meleager looks up hesitant, and then to the others:
Mhhh, if you help me at least in the first steps, than I will try it the rest by myself. If I make it , I 'll pass you the rope once above
Thinking, he does not have anything in his backpack to lean on or help with
ooc: if everyone agrees , they would make HELP action to make me climb the first steps (for sure the first 2/3 meters should be easier with their help)

And that's all I have to say about that.
Stonegrin
Roll animal handling check
You see Mitsu emerge from the dark passage.
"Quiet." He says softly.
"A goblin on bridge back there. Maybe more."
And that's all I have to say about that.
Animal Handling: 23
Meleager stops to make also the others enter the cave.
He happily lets Stonegrin handle the situation
The dogs yip, snarl, and fight over the piece of meat. As you approach, they seem to take little to no interest in your presence.
Meleager nods his head at Stopnegrid raising up a thumb
The hen takes a javelin from his back and, trusting the ranger skills, whispers
Have a look, Stonegrin, pay attention

Stonegrin walked slowly into the den of the wolves and began to look around for anything of note. (Perception: 21)

You look up the chimney and see the faint flicker of firelight.
Being as quite as he can and still let the others know ' hey I see a light up here, I can not go up this, cause well this shell on me keeps me from climbing in tight spots.'

The chimney is not a tight space, but it is steep. Any of you would be able to climb it if you did so choose, by making an athletics check.

The fall would be onto a solid surface. You'd take damage if you fell from 10 feet or higher.
The walls of the shaft are of unworked stone. You could climb up one after another.

To get to the top will take 2 ability checks
If someone offers help from below, you may make the first check with advantage
If someone offers help from above you may make the second check with advantage
Anyone using the rope will make the same check at a lowered DC.
