Moving forward to the small goats side Gewyn stabs forward with his trusty sword, the zombie succumbs to its wounds falling to the ground. With nothing in melee he moves back once more out of reach.
Serafina backs off a little now that she is not in melee with anyone and moves around to the other side of Barnaby, hoping to be of more use there.
Griff fires off two shots at the middle zombie in the back row (21 to hit, 3 piercing. Crit fail, 9 piercing) the first one finds it's mark but as the second one flies his accuracy fails him and instead the arrow heads for Elthana's shoulder.
The zombies continue their movement forwards. The left most back liner making a move towards Barnaby and taking more damage from the spiky growth as it goes, (12) and slamming itself into the bear as it meets it, (11 to hit, 2 bludgeoning).
The left most middle line zombie heads for Sam, bloodying itself as it ambles across the thorns, it slams into him (14 to hit) but bounces off of his stoneskin and tough armour.
The same goes for the back most zombie with Griff's arrow sticking out of it, (6 damage moving) it gets in front of Sam and slams him hard (19 to hit, 7 bludgeoning)
The last remaining zombie, back right, head out of the spiky growth, clambering on top of Lumithor's skull, it leaps down slamming into the small goat, it's closest enemy. (19 to hit, 4 bludgeoning)
Zombies 5 and 6 begin groaning on the ground and start picking themselves up, zombie five shuffles forward in an attempt to go for Elthana but immediately dies once more whilst stepping on the thorns. Zombie 6 however once stood needs to go nowhere and slams itself into the unlucky goat (10 to hit, 7 bludgeoning)
The gate begins bubbling once more and four more zombies emerge, they surround, like a vanguard, three armoured zombies with longer hair and decked out in weapons, who immediately look at the ground and begin instead climbing the walls. The 4 new zombies only get 10ft into the room before they stop, apparently awaiting orders and taking (12, 13, 10 and 7, left to right) damage from the thorns as they go.
The two of the three wights begin attacking randomly with longbows, the first fires at serafina (14 miss) and Sam (16 miss).
The second fires at Elthana (22 to hit, 7 piercing) and Maka (17 to hit, 3 piercing)
The middle Wight however merely holds up a lantern which lights up the room with eerie blue light, everyone's shadow begins to flicker and dance, and those of the fallen zombies begin to elongate across the floor, stretching out further than should be possible, where they then begin to pick themselves up from the ground 4 shadows in total which once standing immediately head to the nearest person and begin attacking.
One heads to Neferox lashing out with tendril like shadows which sap at her very strength (18 to hit, 7 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 4!)
One over to Elthana, (crit for 24 to hit, 19 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 4)
One finds vin taking cover and an only tendril strikes out (8 to hit) but instead crashes into the side of Sam's conveniently erected pillar of stone
The last one looks around and (18 perception) finds Muir hiding, (19 to hit, 6 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 2)
As Griff's arrow errantly heads towards Elthana, she plucks it out of the air with her Deflect Missiles. As the enemies come pouring out of the gates, she sends it to one of the ones climbing the wall.
Attack: 16, Damage: 11
When the shadow finds her, the necrotic damage doesn't do what she thought it would do to her, but it does hurt. And then the weakness... oh the weakness. This just won't do.
She turns towards this abomination and unleashes her eldritch tattoo.
Vin ducks out of the way of the shadow's attack and raises a hand, bringing down a [spell]scared flame;radiant flame[spell] on it. He then calls across to Maka to carry on her assault. She dutifully obliges, despite being tagged by an arrow, as she moves to where the poor goat had been so she can reach the zombie that felled it, and swipes out with another chilling rend.
Neferox shrinks back as she is hurt and her strength sapped. But she is not one to back down and launches herself at it regardless, biting at it a couple of times.
Vin
Action: Cast Sacred Flame on Shadow - DC 16 Dex Save or take 5+5=10 [radiant] damage
Maka
Action: Chilling Rend on closest zombie - Attack: 11+8=19, 10+6=16 [cold] Special: Anyone within 5ft has speed reduced by 20ft when they start their next turn
Neferox
Action: Multi-attack bite Bite 1 - at shadow - Attack: 2+4=6 (miss) Bite 2 - at shadow - Attack: 7+4=11, Damage: 3+1+3=7 [piercing] - if hit it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
The Small Goat has fallen... I'm going to need a minute... The leaping zombie did them in so Zombie 6 is actually free to attack someone else if they wish.
Sam Concentration Check to maintain Stoneskin after taking damage: 12 - Stoneskin stays up
Barnaby's help attack would trigger when the leftmost Zombie staggered up into range: "Readied Claw Attack: 13 to hit for 8 damage, if applicable..."
---
Sam swallows when more and more keeps pouring out of the gate. What hell had he gotten the party into by allowing the dragon ghost to leave? And didn't it say it would be right back? But there was little to no time to think of such things as crap was all but literally raining down upon them... One Zombie already struck out at Sam and missed, causing Sam to smirk. Another tries and hits but. thanks to a big puff of dirt and earth which seemed to appear and soften the blow, it's not nearly as bad as it could be.
But as the hell rains down, Sam sees Elthana about to be struck and he cannot allow that. As a reaction Sam invokes his Cloud Rune to prevent the arrow fired by the second wight from striking Elthana and instead strikes the wight on the left, effectively making one wight attack the other...
Barnaby...
Once his turn begins, Barnaby either attacks the zombie right in melee with him and Serafina if his readied attack didn't bring it down... OR he runs to the arch, doing his best to avoid the spikes and to stay out of melee of the zombies, and starts to climb after the wight who had climbed up there. (These angled maps and oversized creatures confuse me so not sure if Barnaby's 40' move and 30' climb speed would be enough to get into melee with wight if that option is what happens. I will roll attacks, they can be used versus zombie, wight or disregarded depending on what is needed...)
Multiattack Bite: 9 to hit for 5 piercing damage
Multiattack Claw: 8 to hit for 8 slashing damage...
Sam...
Sam, still worried about Elthana, ignores the zombies and attacks the shadow engaged with her. Moving and allowing opportunity attack if he must...
First Maul Attack: Nat 20 so a 30 to hit for for 39 damage vs the Shadow plus 11 from Giant's Might (or just 6 if that doesn't get doubled as well?) and Crusher Feat moves this shadow five feet away from Elthana and towards the Spike Patch. (Spikes prolly don't hurt shadows but oh well.) Magical Maul so I believe this bludgeoning is Magical Damage? Oh wait! Savage Attack as a Half Orc - I get to do more damage on a crit! Extra 1d6= 6! So that should be a total of 56 damage and moved 5' away from Elthana.
Second Maul Attack: 22 to hit for 22 magical Bludgeoning Damage
Third Maul Attack (From Potion of speed 2/10 rounds): 18 to hit for 19 damage...
I've no idea how much damage shadows can take... If shadow is killed? Dispersed? Sam will move to other shadows, first one closest to Nef, then Vin... And this post took me forever due to multiple, multiple RL distractions so if other people's stuff have made any of this moot just let me know and I will readjust :D
Gewyn watches the hordes continuing to pour through without slowing. Not sure how well it would work on these undead, but equally unsure he has many other options, Gewyn decides it's time for a bit of mischief.
He pulls out his pipes and starts to play a lively tune. The mushrooms and the thorny vines begin to grow green and polka-dotted. Fresh shoots rise up off of them in random places, blooming into brilliant blue flowers. Then those flowers begin to shoot water in every which direction, particularly at the eyes of any Zombie caught within the 20 foot area
(Dex save of 16 or else blinded until the start of my next turn. Casting the 20 foot cube wherever I can catch the most Zombies and if I can get the wights too then I'll do that)
"so sorry!" Griff calls out but looks highly relieved as Elthana snatches the arrow from it's path and hurls it at the left most wight stabbing it through the leg. Turning to face her most immediate foe Elthana's Eldritch maul does it's job and dissipates the corporeal shadow before her eyes.
Sam's cloud rune Deflects the second arrow heading to Elthana, Which seems to slingshot around her hitting the same Wight in the other leg, causing a facial interaction between two of the wights similar to how griff just apologised to Elthana. Vin strikes out at the Shadow creature that just took a misaligned shot at him and in quick thinking from the shadows part it ducks down narrowly avoiding taking damage from the radiant flame. Neferox, unnerved by the sudden appearance of the shadowy creatures also misses her bites catching nothing but wisps that dissipate on her tongue. Maka on the other hand ices the zombie in front of her, though takes no pleasure in it, merely sighing in deep loathing sadness at the situation unfolding
Haste on his side, Sam moves around the room in a blur, as he peels away from the two zombies infront of him they slam out in reaction, (5&6 to hit) but both miss terribly as they completely misjudge the half-orc's speed. Sam stops his fast paced movement only briefly to smash through a shadow with a clang as his maul rips through the thing and hits the floor, Once, Blur, Clang, Twice, Blur, Clang and Thrice, Blur, Clang! his maul coming to a stop on the floor just in front of muir, the three shadows in Sam's wake no more than painful memories. Barnaby successfully gets off his reactionary attack but the bears claws fail to fell the zombie attacking him, and so taking after his master he continues the assault, another claw and a bite for good measure and barnaby lets the zombie's limp form fall from his mouth as he eyes up the next enemy.
The sound of Gewyn's pipes echoes loudly around the room as the crystals vibrate in harmony, both of the wights clutching to the gate at the lower portions, their eyes go completely white and the begin screaming in frustration, four of the six remaining zombies located directly in front of the gate also begin looking around wondering where their prey went.
Serafina seeing the gap made by Sam wants to block off the Zombies from getting further into the cavern, She moves to where he stood engaging the two zombies who took flailing attempts at sam and hacks out twice with her sword (18 to hit, 13 piercing) she fells the first one stumbling blind to her left and re adjusts letting her second swing catch the one to the right, (21 to hit, 10 piercing) bloodying the creature before her. "do not let them get further in" she yells in warning.
Griff from his vantage point takes two pot shots at the Wight furthest up, trying to stop the crature from summoning more shadows. (21 & 16 to hit, 15 piercing total) the wight takes the hits but seems unfazed. Griff looks concerned at Serafina's words and begins flying up into the air around 50ft above Sam and Muir, "the armoured ones are being less effected by non magics" he shouts out.
The two non blinded zombies to the right see Gewyn playing and make a bee line for him, one of which taking (2) damage from the thorns as it goes, they both clamber over Lumithor's skull to reach the bard and slam at him. (23 crit to hit, 11 bludgeoning & 10 to hit, miss)
he last non blinded zombie having just received a large slash from Serafina, returns the favour, (10 to hit) but merely glances off her armour impotently.
The three newly felled zombies stir and try to raise themselves, the one that Maka had slain cannot rise as it succubs to its wounds, same with the blind one at Serafina's feet, But Barnaby is not as lucky, the zombie newly dropped out of his mouth rises once more and slams at him. (17 to hit, 3 bludgeoning). Hearing the sound of attack the three remaining blind zombies struggle through the thorns and make their way to Barnaby, (4, 10, & 20 damage from the thorns) one of the zombies succumbs to the thorns before it can even make it to Barnaby, the other two get there and attack but are already bloodied, and blind leading them both to fail in their attempted attacks (6 & 9 to hit)
The Wight to the left having taken the most damage of the three and now blinded, screams out and begins to clamber upward, finding that they can adjust their gravity somewhat they start half crawling half running up the walls trying to escape. (half speed due to lack of gravity training and blindness), Seeing this Griff calls out to Vin "Vin! Broom! Be helping me!"
The center most wight lifts his lantern once more and the shadows of the three recently fallen zombies begin to stretch out and drag themselves from two dimentional beings into three, one brings itself upright next to Elthana and strikes out at her (13 to hit) the other two swarm towards Sam and attack (16 & 14 to hit), all three lash out at their respective targets with inky tendrils, similar in tangibility to elthanas tattoo, but all three glance off their targets with little effect. Then each shadow twists it's form in place attempting to merge in with the shadows around them (bonus action hide in plain sight, Elthana 21 perception to be able to attack this creature normally, attack with disadvantage on a fail. Sam you need a 19 and 24 perception to be able to attack each of your shadows without disadvantage)
The last wight, furthest to the right, also blinded attempts to hop down off the wall and towards the sound of Gewyn's playing, It strikes out at him blindly, but with necrotic energy wreathing its hand, (17 to hit, 3 necrotic damage and a DC 13 con save or reduce your hit point maxumim by 3)
Muir watches the Wight lift its lantern again watching more of these things spawn. Angrily Muir says to no one in particular "Enough of this nonsense...be gone foul spawn" and with that Muir waves his staff around and casts dispel magic on the lantern (rolled a 19 for spells above level 3).
The lantern light goes out but the summoned shadows remain. The wight frustratedly casts the now useless magic lantern to the ground where it shatters amongst the thorns.
Vin hears Griff and mounts his broom, heading up a short way ready to cut off any escape. Whilst he waits to see where the Wight goes, he sends a couple of speculative [spell]eldritch blast; blasts[spell] in its direction. He calls across to Maka to carry on her assault as well. Another Chilling Rend is forthcoming against the closest foe.
Neferox, who really doesn't like the Shadows, leaps forward, biting at the closest with some viciousness.
Vin
Action: Cast Eldritch Blast on Wight that went up (Advantage seeing it is blinded) Blast 1 - Attack: (9, 2)+8=17, 4+5=9 [force] Blast 2 - Attack: (17, 15)+8=25, 6+5=11 [force]
Maka
Action: Chilling Rend on closest zombie - Attack: 1+8=9, (Miss!) Special: Anyone within 5ft has speed reduced by 20ft when they start their next turn
Neferox
Action: Multi-attack bite on closest Shadow she can see properly Bite 1 - Attack: 18+4=22, Damage: 4+2+3=9 [piercing] - if hit it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. Bite 2 - Attack: 1+4=5 (Miss!)
Barnaby gets slammed... It hurts and he lets out a soft, sad, angry growl of surprise. More of these untasty snacks attacks the bear but he's on alert now and dances around their slow, tentative strikes.
Sam, too, dodges the blows aimed at him, though his attackers are less tangible and he's unsure how they taste...? But Sam's attackers attempt to fade into the background after they swing making Sam squint into the dimness to try to track them: (Perception Rolls to try to see his own two and Elthana's attacker, in that order - 10, 14, 16 - But they all just seem to meld into nothingness...)
---
Barnaby counters the attack of the zombies with some of his own. With a bite-bite here and a claw-claw there, the bear tries to stem the tide of these rotten lunchables. Barnaby attacks first the blinded one furthest from the portal and then the middle non-blinded zombie.
Multi-attack Bite (w/Adv due to blinded zombie): 1 or 7 + 6 for 13 to hit for 8 piercing damage
Multi-attack Claw (w/Adv IF still against blinded, use first roll if against middle zombie): 19 or 11 + 6 for 25 to hit for 11 slashing damage
Sam blinks and grunts and KNOWS these damn shadow things are still here, he's just unsure exactly where... But he uses the best damn judgement the old damn Half Orc has and swings his maul where he remembers them to have been... ((Sam attacks shadow closest to Muir then other that Sam is engaged with... Since hidden it's up to DM if Sam knows if/when one is destroyed or not, I guess. If Sam knows when destroyed it's closest to Muir, then other in Melee then Sam moves to remaining one if he's lucky enough to destroy first two...))
Maul Attack: 18 or Nat 1 + 10 for 11 to hit for 23 magical bludgeoning damage
Maul Attack: 6 or 16 + 10 for 16 to hit for 21 magical bludgeoning damage
Hasted Maul Attack: 14 or 5 + 10 for 15to hit for 27 magical bludgeoning damage
IF Sam destroys the two shadows closest to him (I think maybe but dunno if he'd know or not?) then Sam moves into position to help Elthana next turn. Normally he would move into flanking position but as he cannot see her shadow attacker either he moves up besides her, probably the spot between her and Serafina...
Gewyn watches the zombies coming at him. One of them is coming at him with a painfully predictable swing that doesn't concern him much. He sidesteps easily. But the other one looks like it might be trouble. Just before its attack can land, Gewyn twirls a finger through the air and points aggressively at the coming foe, letting out a shrill whistle as he does. His magic twists through the zombie's motion, stealing a little of it's fortune for Gewyn.
(Reaction: Silvery barbs on Zombie crit)
Then the Wight closes in, and Gewyn feels its hand graze against his arm. The necrotic energies lap at his skin, but the luck stolen from the zombie bolsters Gewyn's vitality while the effects of his mantle of inspiration take the brunt of the damage. Meanwhile, behind the wight, the magical mischief creeps 10 feet toward the zombies fighting the bear. The droplets of water in the air from the spraying flowers slow and congeal, changing colour to a dark brown. Some of the droplets converge and combine, or bump into nearby objects where they cling like molasses
(Free: move Nathair's ten feet, effect changes to difficult terrain.)
Then Gewyn grabs his sword and shouts, "Keep mobile, don't let them pin you down. We are going to get through this!"He slashes at the Wight with his magical sword while slipping away from all three of his enemies. He bolts to the left, coming up about ten feet behind Serafina
(Attack: 20, Damage 9 Magical Piercing)
(Bonus Action Mantle of Inspiration [last bardic charge] Vin, Serafina, Barnaby, Griff, Gewyn can top up temp HP back to 8 and move as a reaction)
Happy that the shadow thing didn't deplete any more of her strength, Elthana gets quickly frustrated as it seems to disappear in front of her eyes. She hits at him anyways.... (All with disadv)
As Vin rises upon his broom the eldritch blasts he sends off hit the chosen Wight, But these things seem a lot sturdier than the mere zombies and shadows that they accompany.
Neferox snaps at the shadow hiding next to Elthana but nobody sees whether she suuceeded or not.
Barnaby fells two more zombies, one of them for the second time after it's impromptu revival.
At the same time Sam swings out dashing one place where a shadow may be hiding, then the second, moving on to the third in melee with Elthana he simply cannot tell perceive if the things are gone or not.
Gewyn's silvery barbs take hold, though the zombie is still successful in it's attack, he feels like the outcome could have been worse if not for his quick thinking, slipping away his strike lands nicely on the Wight in question, but again these Wights seem more solid than their zomified counterparts. But the barrage of atacks makes gewyn slip up with his pipes and his melody goes awry.
Elthana unleashes a bevvy of attacks pummeling all shadows surrounding her sentient and hostile or not, the crystal floor under the place where the shadow stood just moments previously cracks a little after Naferox, Sam and Neferox's attack.
Serafina strikes twice at the zombie infront of her and as it falls she backs out of the thorns once more, her feet worse for wear but her resolve steady.
Griff flies directly at the Wight attempting to escape, talons out he attempts to grapple the undead and bring it low (6 vs 19 str checks) but the Wight, now not blinded is able to free itself ready for it's bid for freedom.
Two of the zombie around in the pile of bodies now mounting around Barnaby, begin to rouse and rise. Three now stand around the bear and unleash their distaste at being mauled and gored, (19, 16, 20 to hit. 6, 6, 2 bludgeoning respectively, 14 total)
The two zombies nearest Maka move to flank her and both strike out at the same time, using their bodies to slam against her from opposite angles and squishing her in the middle, (23 CRIT and 16 to hit, 10 & 6 bludgeoning respectively)
Of the wights the one now in Melee with Griff after the Aarakocra's failed grapple attempt, Disengages and moves another 30ft upward scaling the walls.
The second, having just dropped its useless lantern, draws a longbow and fires off two shots at Sam, (22 & 8 to hit, 5 piercing from the success) before it too makes a move for the surface.
The last Wight standing atop Lumithor's skull fires off two arrows at Vin (9 miss & 19 to hit, 6 piercing) and then moves around Maka and her zombies to come closer to the bulk of the group.
The gate bubbles as two more beings emerge, they look like the shadow wrapped skeletal foes that the group had already managed to kill, and as they enter they float harmlessly above the thorns taking no damage and making it toward where Serafina stands at the front of the group. the first howls out in a babbling frenzy (Serafina, Elthana, Barnaby, Maka, Sam, Gewyn and Neferox, Make a DC 14 WIS save or take 13 psychic damage and become stunned until the end of your next turn, on a save take 6 psychic and no stun). The other shadow wrapped creature looks up at the two members of the group above, whispers of compulsion begin to enter their minds, (Vin and Griff, Make a DC 14 WIS save or take 8 psychic damage and become compulsed to attack each other, on a save nothing happens)
Muir watching this all go on feels something move near him, the last surviving Shadow comes out of hiding right next to him and attacks with it's inky tendril. (17 to hit, 13 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 1)
Barnaby is rocked and riled by the undead blows but he stays standing... If only due to the magical temp HP previously imbued within him by Gewyn... At least until the babbling frenzy (save roll 13) and the psychic damage accompanying it which sends Barnaby back to the nothingness in which they typically dwell. (Bear down! I repeat, BEAR DOWN!)
Sam flinches as an arrow scrapes him and gives him a scratch. Without his stoneskin via the armor it could have been worse. Alas Sam, like his bear, falls under the effects of the babbling frenzy (save roll 4) and Sam finds himself bleeding from the ears a bit and too stunned to do anything...
Or is he? Sam spends his eternal inspiration (eternal in the sense he has had it forever) on that Wisdom Save. New save: 13
Nothing changes...
Sam Con Save for his stoneskin after taking the psychic damage: 21 - Stoneskin remains. (Hmph, almost seems like being Stunned should have an effect on Concentration but it does not. Conditions are so weird sometimes...)
Poor Maka gets sandwiched between the two Zombies, showing great tactical awareness, getting crushed by the pair.
Vin winces as the arrow hits him, normally enough to make him lose concentration, but he is still feeling empowered by Gewyn's inspiring words. And so although Maka fades for a moment, they do not disappear. She does however become effected by the howl and is stunned.
Neferox takes the full force of the howl and is stunned, and is also looking very injured now. Maka also cannot resist the effects of the howl, and a wail of their own accompanies their disappearance from the field of the battle.
At least Vin manages to steel his mind against the Compulsion.
To be continued....
Vin Concentration Check: 5+4=9 (Fail) - Bardic Inspiration makes it 10+ (Success to hold concentration!) Neferox Wis Save: (11, 9)+1=12 (Fail - against stunned) Maka Wis Save: 13+0=13 (Fail - against stunned, but damage also destroys Maka anyway) Vin Wis Save: 16+4=20 (Success against Compulsion)
Muir ignores the shadow that attacked him and focuses his attack on the 2 wights climbing the walls. He bangs his staff onto the ground after taking a wicked hit by the shadow and casts erupting earth on the wall the 2 wights are climbing, hoping to knock them all the way down to the ground.
Neither of the lights realise where the attack is coming from and cannot predict that the surface they are climbing on would erupt, neither make the save, and as both attempt to keep their hold they both start falling, along with blocks and rubble cascading out of the point of the spell. The wight furthest up slams into the ground and his head explodes like a watermelon which isn't helped by the rubble which then covers him. The lower wight also falls but manages to rake the brunt of the damage without dying. He lays prone on the ground in rubble.
Some of the falling blocks bounce and roll into through the gate and pass into the shadowfell, as the pile mounts up. Muir's thorns begin to grow over the new surface but it looks like the rubble is causing a good 10ft of difficult terrain regardless.
Vin watches the Wights that had until a moment ago been escaping drop from the wall as the crystals erupt around them.
"Oh, that was good!", he calls out to the perpetrator of such a clutch move.
He can feel the link he has with Neferox recede, and looks down to see the hound stunned and unable to act, her wounds looking bad. He also feels his connection to Maka disappear as they succumb to their own injuries.
But the part that concerns him most is those creatures that can whisper in his mind, and tempt him to turn on his allies. It has almost succeeded twice now, both times when those strange hovering shadow wrapped skeletons appeared.
He then retreats to the top of the shrine take cover from those below.
Vin
Bonus Action: Casts Shield of Faith on Neferox Action: Cast Eldritch Blast on shadow wrapped skeleton by Serafina Blast 1 - Attack: 13+8=21, 1+5=6 [force] Blast 2 - Attack: 12+8=20, 3+5=8 [force] Movement: Retreats to the top of the shrine and takes cover from those down below (out of sight) Special: Concentration Shield Of Faith - 1/100
The last one looks around and (18 perception) finds Muir hiding, (19 to hit, 6 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 2)
Round 5
-Elthana's eldritch maul 4/10 rounds.
-Muir's spike growth 5/100 rounds (C).
-Sam's giants might 5/10 rounds.
-Vin's summon shadow spawn 5/600 rounds (C)
Everyone is up!
Attack: 27, Damage: 11 + 1
Attack: 16, Damage: 7 + 1
Attack: 25, Damage: 10 + 4
Maka
Action: Chilling Rend on closest zombie - Attack: 11+8=19, 10+6=16 [cold]
Special: Anyone within 5ft has speed reduced by 20ft when they start their next turn
Neferox
Action: Multi-attack bite
Bite 1 - at shadow - Attack: 2+4=6 (miss)
Bite 2 - at shadow - Attack: 7+4=11, Damage: 3+1+3=7 [piercing] - if hit it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Muir hurls a guiding bolt up at one of the wights and misses terribly. He calls upon the healing breeze of nature over Sam healing him for 9Hps
The last wight, furthest to the right, also blinded attempts to hop down off the wall and towards the sound of Gewyn's playing, It strikes out at him blindly, but with necrotic energy wreathing its hand, (17 to hit, 3 necrotic damage and a DC 13 con save or reduce your hit point maxumim by 3)
Round 6
-Elthana's eldritch maul 5/10 rounds.
-Muir's spike growth 6/100 rounds (C).
-Sam's giants might 6/10 rounds.
-Sam's haste 2/20 rounds
-Vin's summon shadow spawn 6/600 rounds (C)
-Gewyn's mischief 1/10 rounds (C)
Everyone is up!
Vin
Action: Cast Eldritch Blast on Wight that went up (Advantage seeing it is blinded)
Blast 1 - Attack: (9,
2)+8=17, 4+5=9 [force]Blast 2 - Attack: (17,
15)+8=25, 6+5=11 [force]Maka
Action: Chilling Rend on closest zombie - Attack: 1+8=9, (Miss!)
Special: Anyone within 5ft has speed reduced by 20ft when they start their next turn
Neferox
Action: Multi-attack bite on closest Shadow she can see properly
Bite 1 - Attack: 18+4=22, Damage: 4+2+3=9 [piercing] - if hit it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Multi-attack Bite (w/Adv due to blinded zombie):
1or 7 + 6 for 13 to hit for 8 piercing damageMulti-attack Claw (w/Adv IF still against blinded, use first roll if against middle zombie): 19 or
11+ 6 for 25 to hit for 11 slashing damageSam blinks and grunts and KNOWS these damn shadow things are still here, he's just unsure exactly where...
Hasted Maul Attack: 14 or 5 + 10 for 15 to hit for 27 magical bludgeoning damage
We are going to get through this!" He slashes at the Wight with his magical sword while slipping away from all three of his enemies.
(Reaction: 30 ft of movement without AoO)
Happy that the shadow thing didn't deplete any more of her strength, Elthana gets quickly frustrated as it seems to disappear in front of her eyes. She hits at him anyways.... (All with disadv)
Attack: 14, Damage: 8 + 3
Attack: 14, Damage: 11 + 3
Attack: 24, Damage: 8 + 4
(17 to hit, 13 necrotic damage and strength score reduced by 1)
Round 7
-Elthana's eldritch maul 6/10 rounds.
-Muir's spike growth 7/100 rounds (C).
-Sam's giants might 7/10 rounds.
-Sam's haste 3/20 rounds
-Vin's summon shadow spawn 7/600 rounds (C)
-Gewyn's mischief Concentration lost.
-Griff is compulsed!
-Serafina is stunned!
Everyone is up!
Vin Concentration Check: 5+4=9 (Fail) - Bardic Inspiration makes it 10+ (Success to hold concentration!)
Neferox Wis Save: (11,
9)+1=12 (Fail - against stunned)Maka Wis Save: 13+0=13 (Fail - against stunned, but damage also destroys Maka anyway)
Vin Wis Save: 16+4=20 (Success against Compulsion)
Vin continuation..
He lets loose two bolts of force at the hovering shadow wrapped skeleton next to Serafina before reaching out to help protect Neferox.
He then retreats to the top of the shrine take cover from those below.
