"It is very clever", Vin agrees. "Although surely it would just get you the time and location that the journal itself was made, so it could be that the information about the vault was entered from another location. I don't think I mentioned it, but the owner had a magic carpet that he used to cross between isles. But yes, keep it and test it. It is of no use to me, I can't even read it".
Back at the table now, he listens to Ginro speak about the task he was set.
"Interesting, that sounds like a vault of sorts too. Or perhaps a prison? When you say nearimpenetrable, in what way was it then penetrable?".
"And this was sent to Vox? We need to know every detail for this box right down to how to open it" Muir is trying to hold back his shock on how ridiculously flippant Ginro is about the situation
"well it's just a big box but of course I can dig out the design for you to look over if you wish... Gosh I have a lot to do whilst you all rest, container design, set a team on locating the origin of the journal, curate some items to fit your abilities and combat styles... Though to be most effective I should ask, is there anything else you might require of me before we sort out your rest problem?"
Muir looks at the others who are sitting with him "I understand we are asking a lot but the box is of the utmost importance. The box was not made for Vox, it was made for Nivarra, so we need to try to understand what it is for....Possibly her Phylactery. We need to know everything about the box before anything else. Where it was sent, dimensions, material, how to open the box etc." Muir becomes exasperated at the lack of understanding and seriousness by Ginro
"For example, 10t by 10ft were the external dimensions, right? What about the dimensions of the internal space?", Vin adds.
"But no, there is nothing more for me. And you are right, I am filthy and tired. It would be good to clean up and rest up now", he goes to say, a yawn escaping his mouth as the thought of sleep fills his mind.
Elthana frowns as Sam continues his tirade. "Whisper council? What's that?" But doesn't comment on anything else, he's apparently made up his mind that we are all his enemies now. She half smiles at Gewyn as the changeling gives an attempt to mend things.
Seeing Ginro get a bit overwhelmed and Muir getting exasperated, she puts a hand on Muir's forearm to try and get him to relax. She whispers, "Everyone processes things differently, give him a chance. He is the leader of this isle for a reason and a lot has been dropped at his feet."
"let me try to remember" Ginro says a little taken back by his mistake in thinking that the box may have been so mundane, "a phylactery is a powerful artefact, something that takes a lot of knowledge and sacrifice to complete, but can be made from any container really, I suppose the box could well be for that purpose, but as vin says it could also simply be used as a vault... If I remember correctly it opened with a reactive keystone, the combination was a specific series of resonant frequencies. As I said I'll need to check the designs and for that I'll need to pop down to the archives whilst you rest... speaking of rest i think I need you all to meet someone. Though yes if you could get cleaned up first that'd be ummm beneficial."
Elthana looks down at herself at the mention of getting cleaned up and smiles. Yes. Ginro was most definitely correct. Then something occurs to her and she digs in her pack. Bringing out a pair of bracers decorated with arrows.
"Please, take these. They gift the wearer of a +2 bonus to the damage of arrows from longbows and shortbows. Shenoh tells me you would be able to make these work on a more global scale? That many would be able to benefit? I sure hope so."
She then stands up, "And yes, a good cleaning would be most beneficial, thank you." and heads in that direction.
Everyone short circuits and hears what they want to hear, "improved damage output for archers eh?" Ginro repeats and takes the bracers for inspection, "ah elvish design from your realm, the enchantment is simple but wouldn't be an obvious match for the materials we usually make armour from, I'll pass these along to the relevant team, if we can either find an applicable material or alter the enchantment slightly to resonate with our current models. This is very useful thank you!"
Ginro thanks you all for the chance to identify the items and takes the journal and the bracers, promising to come back and meet you when you've cleaned up, then he points you all to Cookie, the barkeep, who when asked gives you all what looks like a towel, or at least Thaeir's version of such a thing. You are then directed to a side door which leads down a corridor and following the general flow of the layout brings you all to two rooms of cubicles. How you divide yourselves is up to you, though Griff points out that one side is generally for females of whichever species you belong and another side is for the men. Though the rules aren't stringently adhered to merely for preferential comfort and discretion.
The cubicles seem odd to you all but Griff reads our some instructions on the wall, written in auran. "Please wash yourself in the descending liquid vapor cubicles before entering the hot baths."
He then enters one of the cubicles and doffs his armour, water gushes down upon him from above whilst he is obscured within the cubicle and he comes out moments later with a towel round his waist before gesturing to the group to do the same.
He looks to both vin and gewyn, before they have the chance to shower and says "there is not being rules on animals or familiars in the baths but I am willing to be betting that both Neferox and Spyro will be allowed to indulge in the 'descending liquid vapour cubicles' I uhh am hoping that they are not hating the water"
Vin looks to Neferox, who had ben listening to Griff's instruction. To his surprise, she has no qualms about entering a cubicle and washing within the 'descending liquid vapour', even though it was technically on the male side. When she emerges, she shakes herself vigorously, water droplets spraying over anyone happening to stand close. She then looks to Vin, waiting for him to follow suit. She doesn't seem bothered by Griff not knowing whether animals are allowed in the hot baths. She yearns for the heat, be it humid, dry or full on liquid.
With a shrug, Vin enters a cubicle, undressing and cleaning his equipment whilst standing under the torrent of liquid vapour. Once done he exits with a towel around him and carrying his belongings.
"Where are we supposed to leave our things?", he asks Griff.
Griff, freshly dried after his shower looks to vin with an expression of defeatism, as his feathers are now dripping water from neferox's vigorous shake. He still has is equipment with him though a towel adorns his waist, he shrugs, "I am seeing no place for them in here so I am assuming that there are being places to stow in the baths..." And with that he exits to the next room, a gout of steam emanating from the door as it's swings open and closed again.
As the majority of the group follow, they enter into a large steamy room, it's quiet aside from the low tones of ongoing conversation from the occupants already In the baths and the slow splash of water as people move around. Ömertyr can be seen in the baths, over in a corner by a rather awake looking Ingram, the giant waves at the party as they arrive. There are lockers near the door, big enough to occupy the largest of armours and some smaller ones for those with less baggage. More than half of this room seems to be taken up by a massive, and lightly perfumed, hot pool, thick steam hangs in the air and also settles along the surface of the water obscuring those within from the neck down.
Griff stows his stuff, takes a small hand towel from a stack near the door and walks to the edge of the pool where he disrobes and sinks gently into the the water with a relaxing "ahhhhhh". He places the now wet hand towel upon his head and let's the warmth of the water soak into his hollow bones, relaxing to the fullest extent
Elthana follows the boys, she has no reason not to. At least not in her mind and she sure doesn't want to be separated from them again. After showering, she heads into the baths and frowns. "A spa? Is this supposed to help with the exhaustion or what? We don't have time to relax in a spa unless it is getting us sleep." That's when she notices they aren't all there. Still standing there in her towel, "Where's Sam?" she looks to Ingram and Ometyr.
Vin is quite literally exhausted, and as he follows Griff into the next room, his body aches to simply stop for a while. He wordlessly places his things in one of the lockers and grabs a hand towel as Griff had, wanders around the pool if possible to a slightly more discreet location to enter, and tastefully removes his larger towel and slips into the water with a satisfied groan.
Neferox wanders around with him, and although she doesn't enter the pool, she seems to enjoy the steam all the same from her position on the edge next to Vin.
Vin closes his eyes and starts to drift off as the warmth relaxes him.
Muir is mentally exhausted from all that was done to him, the threat of Nivarra on Elthana's life and all realms, this whole trip has been one fire after the other. He too slides into the pool and tries to relax, but his mind is racing.....thoughts of what was done to him, his belief that the pendent changed Sam, finding the phylactery, Ginro's carefree attitude to what is happening, the list goes on and on......

Muir still not sure Ginro is getting it decides to follow the others and wash up
"Ok, lead the way. Or point the way", Vin says to Ginro, ready and willing to get cleaned up and meet whoever will help them rest.
Neferox stands and has a little shake, before padding across ready as well.
Ginro thanks you all for the chance to identify the items and takes the journal and the bracers, promising to come back and meet you when you've cleaned up, then he points you all to Cookie, the barkeep, who when asked gives you all what looks like a towel, or at least Thaeir's version of such a thing.
