Jararaka blinks owlishly at the trinket, "where was it holding that..?" But decides it's too much work to pursue whatever was up with the cow. "Well, I don't think there'd be any other cow like it. the shiny thing might come in handy?"
She remains for a little longer than Jirel, just to clear the table. She doesn't wait long enough to see how Finn goes with her games, she trusts that the changeling could probably twist it in her favour. As she leaves, she slides a gold and a few silvers across to the barkeep, "hope that covers it." And slinks away.
When she arrives at the Riverbed, she heads to her room and spends some time to polish her shield. But, the word polish seems too fancy to describe the act of her simply scrubbing at it's surface with a corner of the bed sheet, the only relatively clean piece of fabric she can find at that moment. Once she's happy with how marginally more reflective it was, she retires for the night.
With the arrival of dawn, she wakes naturally with it. She blinks and slowly remembers why she's in this building again. In the early grey hours of the day, she takes a stroll outside, getting a lay of the land before the streets become too crowded, and taking a gander at any morning stalls around. She looks for any interesting trinkets, and maybe even potions, afterall, the early bird gets the worm.
When sun has risen high enough to shine through windows, she returns to the Riverbed to wait for the rest to gather and head to the Black Antlers together.
You rise early and take a stroll through the streets of Elturel. It is even stranger the way the lighting looks in the morning. The interior of the city is well lit, but with long shadows where the taller buildings block the line of sight to the Companion. Above, half the sky is brightening as the sun starts to rise, while the other half of the sky remains dark. Perhaps it is something you could get used to, but for now the lighting here is disorienting.
The shops are all still closed but you do pass a couple of vendors pushing carts through the streets. One is selling hot apple rolls... a human bread/pastry filled with something like a baked fruit jelly. Small rolls are 2cp while larger 'hungry man' rolls are 1sp.
The other cart is selling decorated lanterns. These hammered brass light implements are stylized in the manner locals use to draw the Companion... A circle with squiggly lines emanating from it. "Take the light of the companion with you when you travel!" implores the vendor.
Listening to the animals, they are concerned with mundane matters. Those brought here by travelers are conversing with the locals, mostly about what is going on with the strange light in the sky. The locals advise it is normal. Otherwise, the talk is about quality of feed and bedding at the stable, a gap-toothed human who brushes to hard when grooming, and other casual livestock talk.
The wild critters of the parks of Elturel are much like those in the wilderness. Adapted to 24 hours of daylight, they have their own unique rhythm, napping for a few hours then getting back to the work of finding food, then back for another nap. They are quite relaxed and stroll about in the open, aware on some level that this is still night time, and the humans are not around.
Finn:
This are a little blurry, but as best you can recall, you perform a few more of your favorite songs and maybe freestyle another one about the crowd, calling out the unusual-looking or behaving members of the audience, and you think it went over pretty well.
You also were able to scrounge up a card game. It seems luck was on your side. You can recall being dealt the winning hand far more often than not, and you played the hot run of cards into a few good bluffs as well. As you count your coin purse back at the Riverside, it seems you managed to profit 16gp. A really nice haul for one night.
In the morning, as Tylaerys comes down from upstairs and Jararaka is returning from her morning constitutional, a knight, a cleric and two constables arrive. Dispatched by Ontharr Frume, they are here to collect your prisoners. They promise to see the matter is given a proper investigation and lead the two of them away. The man already looks better after a full night's rest, still very quiet but no longer looking near to death.

Tylaerys would help with handing the prisoners over to the officials, giving them a thorough statement on what she knows about what has transpired, thanking them for serving justice and mentioning a message back to the village when the matter is resolved would likely be appreciated. She then gives the couple a and and brief smile, hoping that the truth will be unveiled.
"So, hope you all had a good night's sleep, even those of you who stayed up."The blonde half-elf says chirpily to the others gathered at the breakfast table, giving Finn a wink. "All ready to head back to the Pair of Black Antlers, who knows, they might just come up with some new mission for us. Wouldn't that be exciting?"
Cheddar wakens separately, nestled in between boxes of stable supplies in the loft of the large dock stables along the canal front. Below, he can hear the sound of stable hands getting the horses and oxen ready for a days labor.

Finn is likely the last to stumble down to join everyone else in the morning. She looks as good as ever, perks of being a changeling is no bedhead or bloodshot eyes, but her head is pounding and her stomach grumbling.
"Food..." she mutters and looks vaugely around.
"Is there?" she adds eventually, realizing she hadn't actually yet asked a question.
If and when food (and drink... just water for now, thank you very much) is procurred - the hot apple rolls sound delish! - Finn will tear into it with a fervor and dedication seldom seen. Eventually though she comes up for air and asks "So... What's next?"
"We're all asked to return to Sir Frume of the Order of the Gauntlet at the Pair of Black Antlers. Maybe he will offer us a new mission."Tylaerys repeats.
In the common room at the Riverbed, they have pitchers of water and a tray of thin, biscuit-like cookies available for guests, but that is all. For more substantial foodstuffs you would need to venture out.

Stretching after a nights sleep, Cheddar will check his things, give Cicero a bite to eat then head back to the Inn. "Yes, I do agree." he tells Cicero. "Sleeping in the relative open rather than a dusty old room is the best."
Cheddar makes his way to the inn and, upon finding the group, will quietly sit down.
Finn stuffs her pockets with thin-biscuits and grabs one of the pitchers of water. “Ok, ok… let’s go,” she says slowly as if every word hurt.
Finn then pauses, looks around for someone on staff here, then digs out 5 gold and gives it to them. “For the water…” she says as she lifts up the pitcher and drinks. “And thin-biscuits,” she adds as one falls out of her overloaded pocket.
"Yes, let's find us some of those hot apple rolls."Tylaerys says and gets up to leave, letting Jararaka show the way, trying to spoil herself with what she can find in the ways of a tasty breakfast on the way to the tavern.
Jararaka leaves with a 'hungry man' apple roll from the vendor, but then doubles back after just two steps, remembering that she was working with a group now. She drops a gold coin in the vendor's hands and leaves with 6 of the big rolls, and 1 smaller one that seems a good size for Cheddar. She balances the rolls in two oily paper bags, somewhat at a loss at what is the best way to hold simple food items like this, since she can't just toss it in the bag.
In response to the lantern seller: "Uh-" she shakes her head at the overly decorated lanterns, "the light's already everywhere." She squints at the Companions and then adds, trying to muster some sort of politeness, "which is good. Don't need these. But thanks?" And she nods in conclusion, heading back to the Riverbed.
When she spots the group, she plops the bags on the table, and nods her chin at it, "smelled good, something with apples in it." She sits herself down and leans to the side, helping herself to a biscuit falling out of Finn's pocket. Cookie in one hand and roll in the other, she goes, "we could probably eat and go. Did they say when they wanted to meet?"
"Smells delicious Jararaka, how considerate of you."Tylaerys says, beaming as she helps herself to one of the big apple rolls. "Yum, haven't had one of these since back in Waterdeep." She says, savouring the taste in her mouth, as she starts to leave towards the tavern. "They just said today so I suppose we could take a stroll through the city first but personally I would prefer to have this out of the way first." She says to the lizardfolk with a wide smile.
Finn shrugs, takes a bite and grunts appreciation. Take in the city, straight back to the Antlers, nothing would matter much to her until she consumed mass quantities and began feeling less like she imagined drunk zombies must feel like…
Finn, the woman running the common room at the Riverside (Esme, daughter of the elderly owners Chuck and Kladia, who you would have met last night checking in) starts to say, "Oh, the water and biscuits are complimen..." but as she sees Finn emptying the entire tray into her pockets and walking off with a pitcher, she quietly accepts the gold.

"This early of the morning shouldn't even be legal," Finn intones philosophically... And a bit fuzzily. "They won't be ready for us yet of they'd have said 'Come at the buttcrack of dawn' last night..."
Finn isn't interested in doing a full on walking tour of the city or anything in her current state but if there is a bazaar or marketplace or tourist trap type area they could perhaps stroll through there as they slowly meandered back to the Antlers?
Cheddar would be interested in any spell components he might need and can pick up and maybe a lute, if the price is right. He would be interested in magical odds and ends, old maps and the like, if he comes across them. Oh, and some darts. And a trinket/treasure for Cicero, if it can be found.
Tylaerys would stroll through the morning, having no real errands to take care of apart from making sure Shiloh is doing okay at the stables. She would eventually make her way to the tavern, ready to meet with Sir Frume when the others are.
Jirel reaches to accept a luxurious smelling baked good with a nod and was about to grunt in appreciation when Finn would beat her to it. This would cause her to chuff in amusement to the bard's morning demeanor. "Sounds like me." She says to the others as Finn heads off with her haul.
Bringing herself to her feet to follow the parting group, Jirel too takes a pitcher of water. She chugs it, some dribbling, as she walks her way through the establishment, sure to deposit it onto the last table before she's out the door.
Hands now dedicated to picking apart her delicious appley breakfast, the tall blonde naturally falls to the back of the group to keep an eye out as they do their thing. She was satisfied with her snack, for now. But with a mumbly-bumbly Finn ahead of them, Jirel couldn't help but feel a sense of mischief bubble in her belly. Keeping quiet, she leans over and gently nudges Jararaka. Gesturing to her companion's beloved shield, the goliath acts out abruptly ringing it like a gong behind the bard, for fun. Nothing thunderous!
