At the mention of Itzmin, Aranor gives Pax and Walt a glance. "What work does he do for Itzmin?" he asks.
As he talks to Doña Rosa, he begins to look around the room to see if he can find any personal belongings of Serapio that might hold some clue or significance to his current predicament.
"Itzmin finds him part-time work for others, mostly. A produce distributor, an ironworks warehouse, things like this. Itzmin is a politician with a lot of friends."
Aranor begins to examine the divided bedroom. The walls on Serapio’s side are lined with drawings. The locket hanging on the wall near his bedroll is the top half that matched the bottom half you found in the mine. It has no picture inside. He has clothing, and a bedroll, and drawing supplies, but little else of interest.
Outside, Tuuli makes small talk with the elderly couple tending the altar. A few other locals walk past, and the roar of the celebrating crowd is not far away – a popular thoroughfare evidently crosses the next block.
A well-dressed tiefling appears from a dark alley, on the other side of the small square. Tuuli recognizes him immediately: Itzmin. But Itzmin spots Tuuli as well, and stands still, squinting at her for a moment, as if to place her.
Tuuli, in telepathic contact with her cat, sends a message. Inside, Lucky starts, and begins to meow and paw at Walt's feet, then runs to the window where he crouches down to peek over the sill.
Outside, Tuuli makes a snap decision. She makes eye contact with Itzmin and smiles at him. "Excuse me," she says to the elderly couple, and she skips over to Itzmin. As she goes, she is looking for anyone who might be with him, like a certain crossbow wielding bodyguard.

"Well, hello there! Imagine seeing you here. The crowd got to be a bit much and I had to steal away to a quieter alley. Isn't this a lovely spot? Here, let me introduce you to this lovely couple," she looks over her shoulder at the old folks, then looks back at Itzmin, smiling still.

Walt looks over the drawings in the room. Serapio clearly sketches places that are near and dear to his heart, so perhaps these drawings hold the key to finding his whereabouts. He spots the matching locket on the wall, snatches it up and walks over to Doña Rosa.
"Doña Rosa, this other half of the locket is missing a picture. Was there ever a portrait in this one? If so who was it? And these sketches, is there any significance to the subject of these sketches? Perhaps they hold clues or hints to where we can find your son."
Just then, Lucky begins pawing at Walt's feet. At first, Walt ignores Lucky but then it dawns on him that Tuuli isn't in the room and this must be a sign. He follows lucky to the window, peers outside and spots Tuuli speaking with a very familiar tiefling. Walt clenches his fist, cracking his swollen arthritic knuckles and mutters to himself "Speak of the devil."
He hurries back to the group and shares with them whats developing outside.

Pax listens to Walt and nods, indicating he will follow shortly, but first he turns to Doña Rosa. "Thank you. I hope this has eased your sadness. We will do everything we can to help Serapio. Some final questions, if I may: where did Orencio perform his demonic works? Was there anywhere special that Evaristo ever took Orencio? And have you seen any strange owls around?"
Once Doña Rosa shares her answers, he leaves her with some tea and a gentle squeeze of the shoulder, and quickly makes his way outside. He does not approach Itzmin and Tuuli, but tries to position himself somewhere within range should the tiefling try anything against Tuuli.
Itzmin gives Tuuli a nod and a pained smile of recognition, but doesn't allow Tuuli to approach within hailing distance. (He's about 120' away.) Instead, he withdraws into the shadows of the alley. You see nobody with him.
Inside, Doña Rosa continues answering questions. "Serapio sketches everything – people, places, lots of things from his imagination. He's always drawing." Pausing to look at the half-locket on the wall she adds, "I think that's just the cover. I don't think you can fit a drawing in that part."
To Pax she responds, "Those foul places are long gone. But Evaristo used to take Serapio to the park sometimes, I suppose. He was a good father to him... Serapio is such a gentle soul. You promise you won't hurt him?"
And then she adds, quietly. "I think Serapio transforms into an owl. That's what he told me..."
By the time Pax is outside with Tuuli, the tiefling is no longer visible. But Tuuli has a bead on where he went - into an alley on the other side of the square.
Tuuli, seeing the others approach (Lucky, with Walt or Pax or both) says, "I'm going to follow him, but we need Fang, get Zartan!" She motions and Lucky disappears in a swirl of wind to appear again on her shoulder, and she jogs towards the alley.

"We will do everything we can to bring him home safe," says Aranor. He doesn't add the very real possibility that they will have to fight her transformed son. He hopes they won't have to kill the boy, but that is also a very real possibility. "Thank you for your hospitality, but we should go now. We will return when we have news of Serapio."
At that he follows Pax and Walt back out to the street where Tuuli is preparing to follow Itzmin. He nods at her. "Best if I stay here or hang back. My armor will give me away," he notes.
As Tuuli approaches within fifty feet, Itzmin continues to casually retreat deeper into the narrow, shadowy alley. Realizing he is alone and being stalked, Itzmin breaks into a jog toward the distant sight of the rowdy crowd.
The rest of the party sees Tuuli and Lucky cross the square and enter the alley in pursuit.
Tuuli smiles warmly at the old couple. "Yes, I'm just visiting, I... um, I don't have anyone to honor. But these traditions warm my heart."

At this point, I'd like to ask everyone to roll initiative to track the pursuit (at least for those who choose to pursue Itzmin.)

Tuuli is 70 feet behind now.
