The swordsmen charge into the gatehouse. The first of them will reach the top by the end of the next round. The archers below fire a volley aimed at Evelyn and Solomon:
At Evelyn: 21, 17, 18, 17, 6, 11.
At Solomon: 13, 15.
Evelyn takes 25 damage, Solomon is narrowly missed.
(Yes I did it out of order, woops)
Tadriel lashes out from within the darkness against Talvus: Attack: 20 for 9, 20 for 11. In a flash, he lashes out with a swift elbow (13 for 5) and a kick (11 for 7). The sound of steel ringing against steel rises from the darkness.
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
In the clashing sound of steel, Talvus can be heard, "Not today, old friend." (Attack: 27 for 17, 22 for 12. Tadriel saves: 21, 16). Talvus follows up a downward arc across Tadriel with a rush from his horned head (Talvus' 20 vs. Tadriel's 18).
Amidst the clashing, a new figure is sent flying from the darkness and down to the street below. It's a man, more specifically an elf, naked from the waist up. The darkness of the cloud begins to dissipate quickly, but it trails behind him and connects to his flesh in a writhing network of black tattoos. His arms are crossed to block Talvus' horns, but the black protrusions from before still cling to his wrists. As if Tadriel's new form wasn't strange enough, Talvus's form is just as different. The commander's flesh has turned to plates of steel across sections of his body. His eyes still shine with an otherworldly light.
As soon as his body meets the ground, Tadriel tumbles and right himself immediately. He looks back to the top of the wall, the cloud of darkness now gone, and calls out, "Now!" At the command, an arrow sails from an unknown house far in the distance and slams into Talvus' chest (46 damage).
The bull takes only a moment's breath before he calls out, "Shadow never leaves without its Light. Everyone, take cover if you can or get down to the streets, now!"

OOC: Forgot that I attack twice with an attack action sorry.
Did you want to target the shielded soldiers, crossbowmen, or Tadriel?
There is enough outcropping in/on the gatehouse to hide and take cover, but everywhere is basically silhouetted in the night, so hiding is very hard without going completely prone. You can jump to the street, but it's 20' down. There are also soldiers coming up the gatehouse stairs (though for your readied action, they are still effectively coming into the street).
Also, I apologize for forgetting, but a crossbowman was killed by Solomon's fireball before he could fire his bolt. Randomly rolled as attack #5 was the one who got killed. Unfortunately, the roll missed anyway :/

//sorry, I don't understand the layout, is Rex on the wall or in the courtyard? Does he have enemies within 30'? Trying to understand Talvus' order as it applies to Rex.//
As it stands (sorry, I should give a top-of-round summary), everyone is on the wall. From the gatehouse, we have Evelyn hiding, Talvus about 45' away with a fresh wooden appendage, Rex and Solomon about 20-25' away from Talvus, then Elon about 150' away due to Step of the Wind (Dash) and I believe a second Dash Action. Elon is making a break for the eastern gate (objective).
Talvus took the arrow from a distant target and it hit like a ballista. He advised that everyone find a way to get cover on the wall or get off it entirely. It's a 20' drop from the wall to the street, and there's a low wall (about thigh-high) blocking anyone from just falling off the wall into the street. The side of the walkway facing out of the fortress/town is about chest high.
Tadriel is on the street below Talvus, a squad of 4 swordsmen are making their way up the gatehouse to the top of the wall, and 7 crossbowmen are below. Evelyn's prior readied action will kill 1 soldier, just need to know if she aims to Tadriel, a crossbowman, or a swordsman.

Yep, so you came in from the north and need to open the east. It's a solid 2-3 minute Dash to get there, so if you can break away from the pursuers, you are good. However, the plan was also to light a signal beacon to let the army know to advance with the first wave. When Tadriel showed up, someone signaled for a beacon to light on the eastern gate.

Rex will rear guard the group, holding his action to make a melee attack at any enemy who moves into range. Staying low to move with cover from the wall.
(Ok, so, simplicity time! Random targeting pulled up the first crossbowman attack roll. The damage from the prepared attack was enough to deliver a killing blow. Unfortunately, I can't see the individual rolls for each hit, so I'm going with an even division method. Therefore, Evelyn avoids taking 6 damage (25pts divided by 4 hits) and another one is down! We now have 6 archers and 4 footmen to contend with.)
And we're back to the top of the order! Starting from the gatehouse and moving along the catwalk atop the stone wall is Evelyn (at gatehouse), Talvus (45' away), Solomon/Rex (75' away), then Elon (300' away). The sound of rushing feet can be heard within the gatehouse as the soldiers rush up. The remaining crossbowmen stand at the base working the windlasses of their weapons. Tadriel stands resolute in the street below; it's difficult to tell his intentions. He seems to be observing what is happening more than making an attempt to get back in the fight.
As Talvus barks orders to either take cover or run, a his voice seems to echo in a much more composed manner within you. It's almost as though, despite what your ears hear, your mind receives a totally different tone.

Do you want to signal them to advance or to warn them of the danger inside? Talvus' plan was for a beacon to to signal the advance, but it seems someone beat you to it ;) I'll leave it up to your creativity for how you'd like to handle it.
If you really want to get technical, each side of the fort is a half-mile long. Since you roughly have to go middle of the north face to the middle of the east, it's a half mile total (2640 ft). If you can break contact with the archers (they can't run and reload, so should be easy), we can take this into more pursuit rules where rounds cover larger areas of ground and time.

The second arrow was a sure strike in the center of Solomon’s chest, if not for the dragon mail’s natural toughness, that could’ve done some damage!
