Aino's Turn: Reaction resets. Thumbtack flies by to help against Death. Aino stays in melee with Death and within 10' of Storm.
She attacks Death with her Rapier, +1 and Spirit Shroud and Booming Blade with advantage from her owl's help. Booming Blade does 1d8 thunder damage immediately and also 2d8 thunder damage if the target moves before Aino's next turn.
Attack 1: targeting Death (advantage from help from Thumbtack, 3 d20s due to Elven Accuracy) To Hit: 23 + 1 from Bless = 24 Rapier, +1: 10magical piercing damage Spirit Shroud: 6radiant damage Booming Blade immediate effect: 2thunder damage Booming Blade additional secondary damage if Death moves voluntarily: 5thunder damage Total damage to Death from first attack: 18 (magical piercing, radiant and thunder) or 23 if Death moves voluntarily.
Attack 2: targeting Death (straight roll) To Hit: 21 + 3 from Bless = 24 Rapier, +1: 9magical piercing damage Spirit Shroud: 1 radiant damage Total damage to Death from second attack: 10 (magical piercing and radiant).
Overall total from both attacks: either 28 total damage to Death, or 33 total if Death moves voluntarily.
Spirit Shroud secondary effects: 1. Any enemy hit by Aino's attacks while concentrating on Spirit Shroud cannot regain hit points 2. Enemies within 10' of her have their speed reduced by 10'
Aino looks right back at death. "As an immortal, what do you care how dangerous any of us are? And what's with the 'long live the king' stuff? For someone who styles themselves as Death, you sound an awful lot like one of us petty mortals."
Tough decision, but as a reaction, Aino uses a second level spell slot (her last one) to cast Shield. Her AC becomes 28 until her next turn. Death's 3rd attack misses. But the 2nd attack still hits her for 18 necrotic damage. Only 2 3rd level slots left.
CON saves: Aino has +11 on CON saves to maintain concentration while bladesinging, but +6 otherwise (+4 from CON, +1 each from 2 magic items). DC 15 CON save against Exhaustion (using +6): 20 + 4 (Storm's Aura) + 1 = 25 DC 10 CON save to maintain concentration on Spirit Shroud: Can't fail with a +11 so no need to roll. She maintains concentration.
Ah got it - I am used to playing where nat. 1 is only an auto-fail for attack rolls, not for checks or saves. I know they are changing that for the new One D&D unearthed arcana, but for 5e those are the usual rules. But I know plenty of DMs that do as you do where a nat. 1 always fails.
LOL - so I rolled it and sure enough, Aino got a nat. 1 or her CON save to maintain concentration on Spirit Shroud. Still a 12 with modifier, but if a nat. 1 automatically fails, then she fails and loses concentration on Spirit Shroud. Gosh, how lucky that was!
DM: lol luck Me. But thinks for not making a stink since I forgot to call you out on it before now. I kept forgetting. So NAT 20s always really good Nat 1 always a Fail
So @Storm, in case you were waiting on the result of Aino's saves:
Aino took 1 hit out of 3. She is at 42/60hp. She succeeded in her save against suffering Exhaustion. She rolled a nat. 1 and failed her save to keep concentration on her Spirit Shroud but she'll probably just cast it again next turn as a bonus action.
I did not add bless, so my sentinel would add 4, to to hit should be 20 Damage still 17 (Thanks for reminder Tybard)
Kileprat sees Storms sword flash with light as it hits Death and she is motivated to help end the fight..
"Dieing must be fun for you, you keep doing it so well... arrhhhgggg"
To hit 1: nat 1... nothing else matters right?
To hit 2: ---
Frenzy attack: ---
As she goes in for the attack, she slips in all the blood and gore that has been splashing on the floor and he sword misses , she can not recover enough to get in another swing and swears "F&(*$ you, you got lucky"
"I got no problem killing you over and over and over, I kind of like it." Kileprat roars.

Both attacks hit.
Death will look at Aino. You are too dangerous to let live. You will make a good lieutenant in my Army.
Death will attack Aino.
First attack: 18 miss
Second attack: 28 to hit 18 necrotic damage
Third attack: 26 to hit 18 necrotic damage
Please make 2 Con saves DC 15 on a fail you take 1 point of exhaustion
OOC: I will take my turn after Aino rolls in case there is a failure on a saving throw

With a nat 20 con save you can't be affected by this effect anymore this fight
I apologize, I should have specified: it was a dirty 20 (plus Storm's Aura plus Bless), not a nat. 20.
Aino rolled a 14 on the d20 plus her +6 bonus to get the dirty 20. Then +4 for the Aura and +1 for Bless gets her to 25.

DM: Copy to make it easy if you get a Nat 20 please put Nat in front. Unother wise I'll assume it's a dirty 20.
Also Tybard you can still fail a save with a Nat 1. So from now on please roll even if your modifier is higher then the DC

Storm will grit his teeth and unleash an assault on Death.
Attack 1: 14 Damage: 12
Attack 2 w/ Smite: 20 Damage: 8 + 15 Radiant
Attack 1 miss. Attack 2 hit seems real effective
How close is Kileprat to Aino? Do I get a sentinel attack when Death attacks her?
Ya your close enough your both in melee range
So I get a sentinel attack on Death.
To Hit: 16 Damage: 17
Miss
Don’t forget Bless if you didn’t already include it.
