Killeprat con save: 15 + 1 on all saving throws + 1d4 (got 4) = 20 (got lucky there)
Lost her 13 temp hit points
Initiative: 9
(OOC: I forgot about the +1 I get on saving throws, so I did everything as if I failed, then remembered and noticed I had a chance to pass with d4, so rolled it and changed everything back when I got a 4, so if you see the gamelog where I rolled stones endurance, etc, that is what all that rolling was. sorry)
"Talk to me, Storm buddy, where are they?" Aino enters her bladesong as a bonus action, humming a captivating, haunting melody.
As an action she weaves her free hand in a spiral and a wide swathe of twisting colors flashes and disappears in the general location of the 2 shadows.
Casting and concentrating on Hypnotic Pattern. Range: 120'. Area: 30' cube, so 6 x 6 x 6 cubes on 3D map. She does not have to see the targets. DC 18 WIS Saves. Effect on a failure: Charmed, incapacitated, can't take actions or bonus actions, move speed goes to 0 for the duration. No further saving throws allowed (duration 1 minute). Only way out is to take damage or have someone unaffected use their full action to shake them out of it.
She yells out to her companions: "Attack the NON-hypnotized one(s) first and we can deal with the hypnotized one(s), if any, after that."
Hypnotic Pattern has friendly fire so Aino obviously places the cube so as NOT to include any of her allies. It gets civilians in the area too, but like the enemies, they suffer no damage. Just stare slack-jawed for a minute or while she maintains concentration. But the pattern itself only appears for a moment and disappears, so the area is not a problem afterwards, just the effect on those who fail their save lasts a minute (10 rounds).
Thumbtack flies up into the air 20' (obviously NOT in the area of the spell) and takes the dodge action.
Casey activates her broomstick of flying and flies up to to where she can see what is going on. If she can see an attacker that is not dazed and confused, she will cast BA (spiritual weapon) and attack (11 to hit in roller, which i assume misses)
BTW house rule. Instead of just advantage on the hypnotized it will be an auto crit.
Absolutely your call as always. I just wanted to say that Hypnotic Pattern makes move speed 0 and causes the Incapacitated condition which normally does not even grant advantage. All it does is prevent actions, bonus actions and reactions.
By contrast, normally the Stunned condition normally further grants advantage and the paralyzed also causes auto crits.
That's why Aino recommended not hitting the Incapacitated one and looking for the others. One hit and he wakes up and is back in the fight. If anything, if we can't see the others, we should guard the hypnotized one to prevent the others from waking him up so he can't take his turn.
Of course, none of this might work and the rules are the DM's call! Just explaining Aino's thinking: the whole purpose of Hypnotic Pattern is to take away turns from enemies (unfortunately only 1 in this case) while you finish off the others.

Yep sure enough. The site I usually use steared me wrong but. But we will still go with auto crit when an enemy is in a position they can't defend themselves and you are in a position to line up a perfect attack.
OOC: Assuming it is Storm's turn with Kileprat holding.
Storm will point his finger at one of the hypnotized individuals "There, that one, and..." he turns, grabs a javelin off his back and hurls it at someone up on the rooftops "...this one!"
Casey rolled an 18.. Storm does she get a bonus from being near you? (She stays close to you all the time!)
Casey initiative 11
Aino initiative (at advantage due to Shortsword of Warning which also prevents party from being surprised): 20

Aura of Protectionrange 10 feetPHB, pg. 85
While you are conscious, you grant all friendly creatures (including you) within 10 ft. a +4 bonus to all saving throws.
Initiative: 9
OOC: Also reminder that Storm has adamantine plate now which means critical hits become normal hits on him

Order: Aino, Casey, Kileprat, Storm, Assassin 1, Assassin 2
The party is in a crowded street there is panic everywhere while regular people are ducking for cover. Only Storm knows where the Assassins are.
Aino is up, with your Nat 20 dex I'll say you know the direction of the enemy but not their exact location

You cast the spell in the area of the attackers where a group of people are. All 6 in the Cube turn into kids watching tv...Hypnotized.
Casey is up
Aino tries to figure out if the attackers are among the 6 affected by her spell.
"Not sure if I got 'em. Can you see, Storm? If I did, let 'em stay hypnotized (don't damage them!), and focus on the one(s) on the other side."

Give me an perception check at disadvantage.
8 lol
You see alot of people panicking. There are a few on the roof tops taking cover. Nobody screams I'm an Assassin.
One guy holds up I sign I didn't do it.
Kileprat is up.
