Aino watches impassively for a moment, then goes and tries to find a supply closet with a tarp or large dropcloths.  She returns and lays them out under and all around the prisoners in a wide radius.  Obviously expecting much more blood.

Calmly, she applies a lit torch to the ear-wound to cauterize it and minimize blood loss so they can stay conscious through every bit of this.

She waits patiently to see if the former assassins say anything (starting her short rest potentially).

Sure, makes sense.  Aino's not bluffing either.  And she's not really planning to question or interrogate.

She's going to do what she does regardless of whether they talk.  Message to future assassins.

The female Assassin somehow kicks him in the mouth you see his tongue split as part of it hits the floor. I warned you.

Lol rolled a 2 that won't happen. The male Assassin starts to bleed out

Aino cauterizes the male assassin's wounds with a lit torch to stop the bleeding, then slaps him awake, positioning him to watch.

She then borrows one of Kileprat's handaxes and methodically, nonchalantly goes to work.  No more questions or interrogation.  Just going to make her an example.  Making sure they are both still well tied up, she first heats a copper piece as before in the fire and brands the female assassin's butt cheeks, heads and tails, as she did before.  This time forehead as well.  Slapping her awake each time.

She uses the haft of the handaxe to smash out all of the female assassin's teeth.  No biting.

She begins cutting off her body parts, not particularly cleanly as a handaxe is not really her weapon of choice.  Going slow, cauterizing each wound with a torch so the captive does not bleed out.  Slapping them awake if they pass out so they experience the whole thing.

- First the feet come off, since that is what the female assassin used to kick the male assassin.  Left then right.
- Then both hands.  Hard to be an assassin without feet or hands.  Severed appendages tossed casually into the fire.
- Then finally the tongue, cutting it off with her dagger so there will be no more lying to crowds about the Last Copper.  And in case the assassin chooses to learn magic, no verbal or somatic components without tongue or hands.  Tongue also goes in the fire.

Aino does her absolute best to keep both the female and male assassin alive and conscious through all of this, minimizing blood loss.

She turns to the tongueless male assassin and hands him a pen or pencil and a piece of paper.  "Any information you want to share with us?"

Storm will only stay in the room for the branding, after that he will leave the room, saying low "There is a line where we become the evil we seek to fight..."

Seeing the display hardens the male Assassin. He simply writes F&#^ You. His vision unfocused as he accepts what fate may bring. Before you do anything....

Sorath walks in the room. A bit shocked at first but then he discides to avoid the subject. Your up next you have 10 minutes get ready. The matter in town was delt with focus on your fight.

You have 10 minutes before the fight. 

"Well, I think we would have done better to do that to the female, then get the male to assist us.  But, this works too."

Casey’s seen worse, but she doesn’t participate.

 ” well the word will get out.  Dead men tell no tales, as we.. er.. some people say.   Welp let’s show ‘em they messed with the wrong sort, one more time.  We better wrap this up.!”  

she gives her motivational speech- granting everyone 13 temporary hit points, and does her usual bardic inspirations, singing an dark, innovative new chanting type of music, complaining about the corruption of the syndicate, the assassination attempts, and the corrupt tactics. … the refrain: (with apologies to Eminem) 

“I’m sorry syndicate. .. we didn’t want to hurt you,… we didn’t want to kill your guys, but tonight, we’re cleaning out our closets”

as the music ends, she casts shillelagh and flies into the arena on her broom.  

Aino turns to Kileprat.  "After we got no answer, I was looking to make examples for future assassins, not for assistance from these ones."

To the male assassin:  "Good to see you honest and angry, not smirking and laughing it up to the crowd like you were out there.  You've earned a clean death."  She puts a dagger through his eye, killing him in front of Sorath.

Aino does not avoid the subject with Sorath:
"Yeah, we'll get ready.  But understand this.  Either someone stops the Syndicate from waylaying us on the streets or this keeps happening." (She gestures at the handless, footless, toothless, tongueless, still living female assassin).  "I'm ok either way.  Last time, you were there, Sorath, and you buggered off after they threw a bag of gold at you.  That's fine - you do you.  We'll keep dealing with it if the bullshit extra nightly assassination attempts keep coming, but then more people are going to end up like her.  Unless Garmuk asks me to stop.  In person.  Then I gladly will."

Whispering after Storm, a little sadly.  "I understand.  But unlike you, my calling is not fighting evil.  I freely admit to being evil to my enemies."

She blindfolds the female assassin and leaves her tied up.  In her 10 minutes, Aino:
1.  Casts Water Breathing as a ritual on the entire group.  24 hour duration.  Then, just before the fight:
2.  Casts Fire Shield on herself.  No concentration, 10 minute duration.  Choosing "Chill" shield:  fire resistance and 2d8 cold damage when hit in melee.
3.  Starts her bladesong as a bonus action and hops on her Broom of Flying.

Storm is silent during the ten minutes of prep time, but as the team takes to the field he will cast Bless before the fight starts.

OOC: Casting Bless at level 2 so Storm is also included this time. Reminder that Bless adds 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws.  Also reminder that if you are in 10 feet of Storm you add +4 to saving throws, which does include concentration and death throws.

Kileprat still has a chance to prep but please roll Initiative I'll kick us off tomorrow.

Kileprat looks at the crowd and while swinging her sword in a big circle yells..... "Hey fans, You want us to light em up or blow them away first?"  (How about a double pun right off the bat)

Yes!  Glad we are not fighting a Storm Elemental...

Also the initiative is like a callback to bands from 4+ decades ago.  Earth Wind and Fire.  Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple.
