"Well, whether he's serious or not, he won't see me for sure!" Eithne seems determined "I certainly can't bring Juhowly to this festival! Imagine if some exalted person should come to the brilliant idea of wanting her head too on a pole... I, after we've made an agreement with Urwin, will either stay at the inn, begging him to keep silent about my presence, or, if necessary, spend the night just outside the village".
- You're right, sorry - Bran says towards Eithne and Chara - I hadn't thought about the pups. Could we leave them with him? Perhaps there's somewhere he can keep them safe. We can ask, at the very least. - Bran suggests - That is, if you feel comfortable with that idea, of course.
Chara glances down at the wolf pup nestled in the sling she made to carry it and shivers at Eithne's comment about the festival-goers killing the pups. She already lost one pup to those bastard adventurers, she doesn't want to lose another one
"I'm not sure if I have the choice to hide out," Chara sighs. "I... I think it's pretty obvious that I'm the most recognizable member of this company... I'm not sure if I need a costume, all things considered... actually, does anyone even know what kind of festival this is?"

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Despite his initial thought that the sergeant may have been bluffing, something troubles the bard:
- Hmmm, but if we are as recognizable as you've stated, would it be good for us to have some group of guards remember our faces and know that we've actually lied to them - or worse - ignored their orders? The Burgemeister's orders? The jamboree signs did say that attendance was required.
He turns to Chara for a moment:
- The signs saidthat "pikes will be provided". I don't know what it is about - "Oops, we should have asked Blinsky and Piccolo about this before leaving the shop", he thinks - but it doesn't sound...peaceful.
Finally, Bran shakes his head. Complications were aplenty and they wouldn't just solve them there in the streets.
- Oh well, I guess we can examine our options after talking to Urwin?
"I don't know, Bran..." Eithne concedes "The guards we met might say in the future they didn't see us again... but can they actually prove we weren't there? There must be a lot of people..."
"Anyway," the savage stranger insists, "I care a lot more for Juhowly than for the Burgermeister. Considering that the festival doesn't seem wolf-friendly at all, I won't be coming. I'm perhaps even one of the less flamboyant members of the group - it's not granted that the guards might remember me, if at least they see you all. I could stay the night outside the village, keeping Juhowly and Lydel, and rejoin you when you leave Vallaki on your way to the winery, if you want to go to the festival and be sure to be noticed by the guards. Else, if we all agree to avoid the festival, after talking to Urwin let's all leave tonight, camping outside, a bit far from there - and to the hell both the festival and the Burgermeister".
You're not sure if he is going to actively look for you or not, but he wants to not see you there, so that he can ask more questions about your activities.
Everyone:
You walk through the streets to the Blue Water Inn. It is a surprisingly well-apportioned inn, considering the general squalor that Vallakians endure. It is clearly well-kept and orderly. It is a two-story building. As you approach, you see a family exiting the building and seemingly closing up the restaurant on the bottom floor. They turn around and the father sees you. His eyes grow a little wide and he beckons you forward.
"Hello, my friends. I am just closing up for the festival. I can send my family along and get you situated here quickly, but we should soon leave to attend the festivities."
“ Forget about the festival and the guards. We have more serious things to attend and Inagree with Eithne. The pups are better away from that people. I say we stick together first with Urwin and then leaving the town. If they ask us once we come back we can always say that they missed us. Do not worry about it Bran. “
Bran is about to explain that it's not that he cares about the Burgemeister. He wouldn't consider that person to be more important than any of them, pups included. But being seen and known to anyone under his orders may have undesired effects on their mission, and that is what worries the bard. But he just raises his hands calmly, in a clear indication that he'll object no further.
When they reach the Inn he just stays a little silent and waits for the rest to begin the talk with the inkeeper and his family.
..."Hello, my friends. I am just closing up for the festival. I can send my family along and get you situated here quickly, but we should soon leave to attend the festivities."...
"Of course!" feigns enthusiasm Eithne "Who would ever want to miss the festival? But we thought we could celebrate it even better with some 'Champagne du le Stomp'. If you're Urwin, you should have it... right?"
Lucian is quite relieved that he isn’t the only one who doesn’t want to attend the festival. Though he is a bit worried about the guards. More then likely the guards will look for them, which could lead to problems later on. If they hadn’t been seen this would be so much easier…
”I…would rather not go either. But Bran and Chara have a point, we are a recognizable group, and I worry that if we don’t at least make an appearance it could cause problems for us later when we return after this next mission.”He hesitates, clearly uncomfortable with the idea of going in spite of what he’d just said, “Honestly, usually when I hear about a festival like this I just make sure that I’m… well, either out in the forest or in some other good hiding spot when it starts.” He shakes his head, “I’ve never been stopped by guards before. …And…well… on the other hand, even if we do go, if we don’t have festival clothes like we told them, then they might have grounds to question us anyways. …”
He glances at Bran when the bard brings up what the sign had said about…pikes… Which likely meant that they would each be given a pike and a wolf head to carry around. He shudders…that was definitely not his idea of a good time.
Listening quietly as Eithne and Lenn further insist on not going, Lucian finds himself relaxing. Whether or not avoiding the festival was a good idea, the decision seemed to be made already, which means he doesn’t have to decide for himself.
When they enter the inn, he stays at the back of the group. He waits quietly, trusting that his companions will know what to say.
The bard rubs the back of his neck a little after Lenn's nudge and, with an acknowledging nod, positions himself next to Eithne, giving a smile to the inkeeper and his family.
- Oh, we won't disturb you for long, good sir. As my friend here has so rightly expressed, none of us want to miss the festivities! Or provoke that you or your family do.
He gently touches Eithne's shoulder, while sharing a brief but confident look with her.
(OOC: Can I give her Bardic Inspiration?)
As a bonus action, a creature (other than yourself) within 60 ft. that can hear you gains an inspiration die (1d6). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.
They await the man's agreed response before adding anything else.
Bran's gentle touch and confident look fill Eithne with... with many sensations (including surprise, satisfaction, an unexpected inner warmth...), but above all with self-confidence. She briefly returns the bard's gaze and calmly and confidently brings back her azure eyes on Urwin, awaiting his response, convinced that the man will understand that they are there to help him and will not make any difficulties.
Nikolai offers to attend the festival, and report back to those who would be uncomfortable there. "If questioned, I can say you came down with stomach flu or leprosy or something,"he says, grinning.
Bran thanks Nikolai. He's still unsure whether he wants to attend or not, but having this option - while keeping the rest's wishes - could be worth considering.
Chara... isn't especially thrilled about the idea of attending this festival, but she can't imagine that the guards won't notice her absence.
"I guess I'll go with Nicholai," she sighs, looking less-than-thrilled at the prospect of going to this bloodthirsty 'celebration'. "I... I think I probably stand out too much to get away with saying that I was there but they just didn't see me. Gods, I hope I don't regret this. Eithne... c-can you take care of Lydl for me until I get back? And does anyone know what we're supposed to be wearing to this 'festival'?"

"I'll take care of Lydl as if he were Juhowly" promises Eithne, while still waiting for Urwin's reply.
'Why it takes him so long to respond?' thinks the savage stranger.
Even the voices in her head are starting to worry: 'Maybe it wasn't him, Eithne! You gave away yourself! Flee!' 'He'll shout and call the Burgermeister guards! Flee!' 'Or kill him! A blow with the greataxe! He will be dead without even noticing…'
'No, it can't be...' tries to keep calm the last of the dusk elf maidens 'He is surely Urwin... He closed the inn! Didn't he? He will remember the phrase... Now he will react accordingly. I'm sure he will... Really, really sure... Right?'
Lucian glances between Nikolai, Chara, and Eithne... perhaps... well, he really has no desire to go, but it isn't fair to have Chara and Nikolai go alone. Besides, it seems like it would be rather difficult to convince the guards that more then half of their party suddenly took ill. So, after a moment of hesitation he says, "Well...I uh, I'll go with you then. The guards around here are pretty...observant. I kind of doubt that they will be inclined to believe that more then half of our group suddenly got sick. So..uh...well..." He trails off, not knowing if it's really necessary to say what he was thinking. Letting out a breath, he says to Chara, "I... don't know what we would do about cloths. Though I'd imagine that we are expected to wear whatever our best cloths are?"
The father raises his eyebrows at Eithne's question. He says, "Come in. Come in. I'll see if there is any in the cellar." He unlocks the door and ushers you inside. (Those discussing going to the festival, do you come in or do you just go straight to the festival?).
You see the interior of a well-run inn, with several old but sturdy tables, a bar with a door, you assume, to the kitchen behind it, and a staircase going up to where you assume rooms can be rented. The father waves you to a table and heads toward the kitchen door.
"Well, whether he's serious or not, he won't see me for sure!" Eithne seems determined "I certainly can't bring Juhowly to this festival!
