Oskar gets up from the table with the bugbears and goes back to Taxieda and Orion. "I have lubricated our friends with ale. They appear to be no more than town misfits. They may have a use though. I may be able to get them to travel with us for a small fee. Bolster our numbers and work as scouts. I don't trust them fully, but they are genuinely grateful to Prim. Your thoughts on hiring them? Be honest with me, I dont want grudges or resentments at their joining. One no, and we leave them be."
"I had suggested that myself", says Prim. "Keep them out of trouble in town." She looks at Badger. "We should be wary, but not kill them unless they betray us."
Taxidea looks at the Bugbears, then back at Oskar. "Under different circumstances I'd say let's just dispose of them, but I guess I'm also not opposed to putting them in the path of an arrow meant for me or using them to our advantage. And Prim doesn't want me to do anything...'murder-y' so I'll respect her wishes. At least if they're with us they're not causing trouble here. But it's on you guys to keep them in line."

Oskar returns to the bugbears and makes the party's offer. He offers them safety in adventure with the party as long as there is no trickery. He points to Taxieda and says that is the one that decides if you have been deceitful. He also implies that staying around town and causing mischief may not be in the best interest of their health. After the offer and terms are set forth, Oskar asks Grungar if they will accept the terms and what there rates will be.
One gold per day for each of them. Grugnar and Varnak agree to go willingly. Kraksar has a few questions, however. "Where are we going? How long do you expect us to be with you? And what exactly will our duties be? I'll scout out the land and be your point man, but I ain't cleanin' up after you filthy critters."
"Two silver a day, and a share of spoils. As cliche as it is, we go where the path leads. Ultimately after the goblin horde. You travel with us until you're services are no longer required. If you wish to depart, that is fine. Each party cleans up after themselves. Are terms agreeable?"
Orion observes the negotiations from the bar. He wonders about the mercenary and unprincipled nature of the potential new company. He sips his ale and says nothing.
Taxidea speaks up. "Hey! How 'bout you take the five and we don't talk about what you've really been up to in this town? Clean slate. And IF you decide to come back here, you can get honest work and make amends for your misdeeds."

"Five silver a day? First six days in advance, and you have a deal," Grugnar says holding out his hand to Oskar.
"Wait a second," Kraksar interrupts. "No plunder?" He turns to Taxidea. "And what do you mean by what we've really been up to?" He begins to reach for his morningstar.
Prim sighs and interposes between the party & Bugbears.
Facing Grugnar she says "I'll make up the difference to make sure you get your 5 silver, first 6 days in advance."
Looking between Kraksar & Badger, she says "We knew there were differences to iron out and stereotypes to overcome when we went into this. Iron them out and overcome them. I'll donate my share of Non-Magic loot to Grugnars team. Happy now?"
Taxidea casts Mage Hand and uses it to pick up his backpack. "I'll be at the Inn," he says tensely and walks out.
