Liavyre says, "These webs are a mix of old webs and new webs. Whatever lived here has done so for quite some time, and fairly recently too. Are there any other spells that you know to blast them out of the way? I just wasn't too thrilled about the smoke. However, I will go where we wish."
To test out how tough the webs are, she will take out a short sword and slash into one close to her.
Liavyre swings her blade into the web nearby. The initial strands break simply, as would be expected, but she feels a lot more resistance after the blade gets into a thicker part of webbing. It looks like the group can cut through the webs, but will need to be careful in the thicker pockets in case the sticky silk holds onto the weapon and doesn't let go.
Liavyre cleans off her blade and takes out her longbow again.
"It seems like this will take a lot of work and I suspect is probably quite dangerous once we get deeper. I guess burning them might be the most pragmatic approach, unless we feel we should try the other corridor as you suggested Thea? Maybe it's worth taking a quick look...we can always come back here."
She looks at the webs warily, not out of cowardice, but out of knowing Drow and their kind make their homes in places like this.
Then goes back up the stairs, intending to inspect the other passage.
The group decides to backtrack and attempt the opposite route. As they take the turn they note that the stairs in this one head upwards, once again the area ahead seems illuminated. Headed up carefully, the group can see a wide open room covered with ashy dust, within the room there appear to be a large amount of statues, lined up on either side of the room, some on the side of the party, the rest in front of what seems to be a stone font.
Ragmin and Thea look at the statues and between the two of them they begin to piece together some ideas of what they are.
There are two rows of statues. The ones on the side the group enter from appear to be based on the five races of the gods of this chapel; humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes, and halflings. There are two of each and appear to be garbed with equipment of adventurer types.
On the other side are statues that are similar to the races, but a more twisted version of them (except the human); there are humans, duergar, drow, goblins, and orcs.
The tiles in the centre of the room seems to be similar to a dragonchess board, though there are not the correct amount of statues to represent a full set (only 10 per side, being 2 copies of 5 respective races)
Based on the religious standpoint, these are the representatives of the good and evils of the prime material plane, as shown by the races. The interesting thing is that both sides have humans on them, but the others have different racial counterparts. While it is known that the representative deities for each race are paragons of their alignment, there is not a known god who represents evil humans.
The stone font at the back of the room could potentially hold something within it. From a distance, it appears to have iconography on it that Ragmin can tell represents the five good gods. The way the statues are positioned, however, could be symbolised as something that the evil races have taken, and the good races must retrieve.
"This feels much better than webs. And those statues kind of imate the disaster we're in. Is anyone of you good at dragonchess? Because if this room is a board, than we're lacking exactly 4 players for the good side. Hopefully, our side. I'm wondering who would take up our counterparts though."
"I have heard of the game, but I sadly haven't seen it, let alone ever played it. Not exactly one would play out in the forest at night after a hunt. How is it played?"
(So Dragonchess is a little more complicated that what is ahead of you. Those who have seen a dragonchess set will know that it plays on three battlefields at once, rather than one. Think of it like 3D chess)
As one steps out towards the statues, an echo of a voice can be heard speaking. It goes into your mind, and seems to translate to your racial tongues.
O ye who come into this room To find what may be evil's doom Know the faces of enemies soon And then you can receive my boon
The statues on the other side of the room (the evil races) seem to animate, drawing weapons. They seem to adopt a defensive position and stand their ground.
The two drow statues stand forward, and another tone is spoken.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Liavyre is not exactly sure how or why this is transpiring, so she thinks over the riddles and the puzzle itself, trying to make sense of what to do next.
OOC: Apologies for the number of rolls, but she wouldn't really know much about what is happening. Other than except some familiarity with Drow.

Liavyre gets the following thoughts on the situation.
Insight: While it is impossible to read a statue for intent, the questions they ask may be a "know thy enemy" sort of scenario. Since this place is older than Allhaven, it would be respective to before Asmodeus took control of the drow.
History: As mentioned above, this will be the older history of the drow, before becoming aligned with the devils. She knows of the heated animosity between the elves and the drow before the current times; that is a hate that has burned for millennia.
Arcana: The magic doesn't seem to fit within the role of their questions. Drow have innate spellcasting somewhat but they are not lovers or haters of magic.
Religion: The drow used to worship a now dead deity known as Lolth. She was against the Elves and Corellon directly, though her power was defeated and her divine portfolios now belong to Asmodeus, the lord of Hell, and currently controller of also the devils and demons.
Nature: As mentioned, drow naturally have an animosity towards other elves. However, they are know to hate pretty much everything. They hate other drow, as they hinder their way to more power. They hate Asmodeus, as he enslaved their people after Lolth's influence was removed from them. They hated Lolth as much as they revered her. It's hard to think of anything that they would like beside themself, and even then they'd probably have some self-loathing.
The statues seem to step forward a square on the board tiles, and repeat their questions. (Basically tell me when you're done conferring and going to speak out and answer the four lines)
