"It was empty before!" Emma calls in surprise once everyone's attention - hers included - turns to the moving armour. Who could have possibly gone inside so quickly, and without anyone noticing? Otherwise, Emma does nothing special. With arrows shot in this tight place, as well as... bolts of magic? Better stay back here. Especially considering that, even if she went in there... there was nothing she could do, really. She had her frying pan, but would it even be able to hurt someone encased in metal like that?
Instead, she calls to whoever's inside the armour: "If you want us to leave, we'll do so peacefully!" She knew that Juniper still wanted answers, but she assumed the Elf would agree that fighting for them was a bad idea. If she were wrong... well, she loses nothing by trying. "Just open the door, it locked itself!"
((Emma will keep out of Vice's line of fire and take the Dodge.))
Seeing the hesitation in Emma's face, Star calls out to her, "You are stronger than you think, Emma! You are a lion!" (Bardic Inspiration, 1d6).
Not willing to put his rapier away, Star sings a lilting tune to the armour:
"Where gentle stream sings lullaby, there blows a lily fair,
The twilight gleam is in her eyes, the night is on her hair."
Another suit of armour appears, however this one is wearing similar costume to what Star has seen some of the female bar staff wearing since arriving on these shores, as well as a long black wig. It waves coquettishly at the attacking armour. (Minor Illusion)
Juniper is suddenly jolted from the expectation of surprising the infant’s mother to the reality of this unexpected attack. She joins the shouted exchange.
“There aren’t any tracks! No one is in that armor, it’s a spell!,” she yells. Turning to Vice, her eyes shoot wide open and reflexively raising her arms in front of her face, she ducks out of the way, “CRICKET!,” as his arrow launches over her head.
She stows her shield and readies her short bow (RP ~ that will be her interact with object next round), while stepping next to Vice out of his line of fire. (OOC: action: dodge)

(Order Vice, Kal, Emma, Star, Juniper, Armour)
There is no reply from within the armour as Vice he fires an arrow. The arrow strikes against the armour's chest plate but it harmlessly clatters to the floor.
Kal rushes up the stairs to third floor. Once he reaches the landing, he takes one look at the armour and tries blasting it with an eldritch blast. Unfortunately, in his rush, the blast narrowly misses the suit of armour.
Emma tries talking with the suit of armour, but there is no response. However, she takes a moment to prepare herself for any attack from the armour.
Star inspires Emma to fight. Then he creates an illusion of another suit of armour.
Juniper then readies her bow, before preparing for attack.
The armour ignores the other suit of armour and instead charges at Vice.
“What do you mean by ‘a spell’? Who’s casting it?” Vice says. The armor charges at him and he tries to step out the way, he manages to dodge the first blow, but the second one catches him in the abdomen. The dull pain spreads and he tastes rust in his mouth.
“Star! Move it!” He shouts to the tabaxi, who even used the time to create a second suit of armor, with long flowing hair and boob plates, that’s almost too ridiculous. He feels talking to Star is exactly like talking to a cat, no matter what you say, they’ll still do what they want.
Vice holds the door open, breathing hard in pain, ready to shut the door on the armor as soon as Star and Kal makes it over the threshold.
(I hadn't imagined boob plates, more a copy of the attacking armour in what I can only think to call a wench dress - low-cut, off the shoulder. No reason there can't also be boob plates though!)

Emma knew she wasn't weak. She had to carry heavy loads often, so she naturally built some muscle over time. She didn't really like the look of it - even if it were barely noticeable to others - so she often wore long, covering clothes, even if they were hot. She had no time to ponder whether being a lion is a good thing or not. Either way, more than anything, she wasn't sure what Star thinks she can do, even if he knew she was strong and didn't just guess it. It's not like she's strong enough to punch a hole through the metal, so what else can strength achieve? Pick the armour up and throw it away?
Oh, maybe just that. Emma realises the possibility as she recalls the fancy staircase, with a large opening in the middle. However, she couldn't tell how heavy the armour was, and she was tired anyway. Emma would probably hesitate forever, but when Vice gets punched in the guts, she realises just how dangerous it might be. That seemed to hurt, a lot. However, it also stirs something in Emma. She doesn't like seeing others suffer.
Emma runs past Juniper, towards the armour. Foolish? Impulsive? Those words always described her well. She wraps her hands around the armour, almost looking as if she's bear-hugging it, then tries to lift it up and run towards the staircase.
Action: Attack, swapped for Grapple. Athletics: 17. If the total is 10<=total<=13 then she will expend Star's Bardic Inspiration die, adding 4 to the total. Movement: Emma runs to the armour, then if she manages to grapple, as far as she can get towards the stairs.
With the armour now right next to Vice, Star decides moving there would not be wise. "I think I will stay here, thank you!"
Seeing Emma's failed grapple and the armour giving Vice a beating, Star wonders if he should strike, but knows his true strength is in the magic he wields in his words and music.
He flicks his rapier with a claw *ting*
"A moving suit of armour? This must be the knight shift!"

Kal sees Vice holding onto the door, but has no desire to get close to the suit of armor in order to move through to the next room himself. "Maybe if we blast it enough it'll end the spell, or dismantle the armor into separate innanimate pieces or something," he calls as he launches another eldritch blast at the suit.
Failing to distract the suit of armour with another suit of armour, Star tries another tactic. He casts Hideous Laughter in the hopes that the suit of armour will fall about laughing, giving them the advantage in the fight. Unfortunately, it seems that spell does not affect the suit of armour.

“A defensive spell!,” the slight-shouldered elf shouts in response to Vice’s question, “Like, ‘attack if an uninvited stranger gets too close’! VICE!!,” Juniper yells as the armor strikes him, her heart beating furiously.
She bobs left then weaves right, seeing stars with the effort as she twists to get out of reach of dusty steel arms, then brings up her bow, notches an arrow and releases it point blank, aiming between narrow hip plates as the armor evades Emma while Kal’s magic blasts it from behind.
(OOC: Assuming Juniper is engaged in melee with the armor since she was standing beside Vice at the 2nd door. Rolling with disadvantage regardless, due to exhaustion.)
"Is there something more useful you might be able to do Star?" Kal calls out as he continues to lob eldritch blasts at the armor. "I don't think the animated suit of armor has much of a sense of humor!"

“Emma!” Vice shouts as he sees the guildswoman throw herself onto the armor, shocked by her resolve and bravery. Though the armor may as well be immovable, and turns to attack Emma instead. He grits his teeth, hoping she would be okay.
“Kal’s right.” Vice says tightly, “we have to fight.” He catches Juniper’s eyes, sees fear but also determination, and that seems to ground him as well. Hopefully with enough force, the spell will break. They obviously have to where to run, and he doesn’t want to see Emma or Juniper gets hurt again. The white-haired young man’s hand in fingerless glove wraps around the hilt of his shortsword, pulls it out from its sheath and stabs up against the plate.
(That small font doesn't show on mobile - not on mine at least. Was wondering why the armour didn't take a turn.)
Emma muscles cry in fatigue as she tries to lift the heavy armour. She could probably do it, but not when so tired, and not when the armour pushes away. Perhaps it was fortunate, since staggering back a little, Emma evades the first strike. The second one, however hits Emma in the abdomen, just as it hit Vice before.
Emma falls on her knees, hands covering the are that got hit. She should have stayed away. This hurt, even more than she thought it would. Her sight gets blurry as her eyes fill with tears. Her body tries to dim the pain, and thank all the gods for that, but if she can't see, and on the floor like this, she had no doubt she'll get hit again.
Something in Emma forces her to stand up, despite the pain. A survival instinct, maybe, but that was even more concerning. She thinks about taking her iron pan and slamming it against the armour. It was a heavy, cast-iron pan. It should at least leave a dent. And yet, with magic and arrows and everything else around, she had no idea what would that even achieve. If nothing else, she can at least stop the armour from attacking, maybe?
Emma reaches back and pulls the large lid she carrys with her. It takes only a moment to unstrap it from the bag, and then Emma stands ready to block the metal fists. If metal punches metal, she won't be hurt.
(Always sad that donning a shield takes an action :/ )

The strange looking man Kal had a point - where would the armour keep its brain? And if it had no brain, how could it understand a joke for the spell to work? Stupid of you Star, he says to himself. Think next time.
He quickly cycles through his limited options. No, no, no... Time to make use of this sword, I suppose.
Moving up behind the armour he makes a single thrust with the rapier, arm extended as he had been taught on his journey across the sea. "Ya-ha!"
“No!,” Juniper yells, when the armor connects with Emma. Her thoughts come in a rush.
This is really bad. If one of my new friends is knocked out, I don’t know who else can help them but me. I have to be careful!
As the bard’s rapier impales the armor on one side, Juniper retreats from the other side, stopping just behind and within reach of Emma and Vice, but also positioned so the armor is blocked from reaching her by her allies.
