Burrstrides to the front of the church, hollering his challenge for Gregor. The two guards by the door, and those on the nearby pedestals ('towers' is too grandiose a term for the low platforms of wood they stand upon) are taken aback. The two guards flanking the desecrated entrance look at each other, visibly shaken. One of them, younger, takes half a step back before catching himself. The other shifts his grip on his halberd and calls over his shoulder, "Gregor! Gregor, he's calling you out!"
There is some noise from inside the cathedral, and several moments pass without anyone emerging from inside. Outside, the guards do not attack, but all of them watch Burrwarily, their crossbows raised.
Infiltration:
Zefla and teeny tiny Soren clear the low iron fence on the west side of the cathedral and slip in the doors, quiet as a mouse.
They find themselves and a stone landing on a circular staircase. Before them, another set of doors leads into the cathedral. Light is visible under the door, and voices can be heard. Outside, the ruckus of Burr's distraction cannot be ignored.
Above, the spiral stone stairs lead up nearly four stories to the belltower, where two guards are waiting, unaware yet of your incursion. Below, the stairs lead down into darkness, into the church basement Soren only vaguely recalls, it appears to be completely dark in that direction.
Outside, Giles, Tobias and his guards wait somewhere ill-defined and to be established later if/when it becomes necessary.

Spider-Soren remains a spider but leaps off Zefla's shoulder towards the surviving guard's right arm, floating as he trails a strand of webbing behind him. As he lands, he scuttles along the guard's skin, under the his clothing, towards his chest and throat in the most discomforting way possible.

Assuming Zefla has slain the second guard and that there are no more enemies in sight occupying the tower:
As Spider-Soren leaps back to a fold in the (outside of the) shoulder of Zefla's cloak, he re-summons Nettle from her woodland pocket dimension.
Keeping to the shadows, the owl circles out of the tower to a concealed spot so she can be heard better by anyone near the cathedral. Two hoots in quick succession sound through the gathering dark, audible to Burr, Giles and the rest of the group's allies, followed by a long pause, and then two more quick hoots. (Two hoots having been the stated signal to indicate that the guards in the tower have been taken out.)
Once done, Nettle returns to the tower where Zefla and Spider-Soren are, and the druid dismisses her once more to her little forest dimension.
Both guards are slain, and Soren's owl gives the signal. From Below, Giles and the guards hiding with him just make out the sight of the two silhouettes in the bell tower falling quietly.
At the front door:
Gregor’s eyes narrow at Burrwith immediate venom. He squints, then points a gloved finger. “Oh. Ohhhhhh, is that so? A 'feckless treestump, am I?”
“Well, I do admire your... suicidal spirit!” He pauses dramatically, places one hand theatrically on his chestplate, then spreads his arms wide to the men below.
“Well? What are you idiots waiting for?”
He draws a breath and suddenly shrieks: “SHOOT HIM!!”
A flick of his hand sends the signal—more panicked than authoritative—and the guards immediately start fumbling with crossbows, caught between obedience, self-preservation, and wondering whether this is going to get very, very bad for them.
Gregor, meanwhile, backs up a half step toward the door even as he tries to look commanding. “You’ll regret challenging me, 'Fiendbreaker!' I don’t need to fight you—I have men for that!” But even as he speaks, his eyes flick to the guards—checking if they’re actually going to do what he asked.

Burr’svoice echoes through the streets in front of the church in the late afternoon grey, stirring something restless in the gathered guards. Some shift their stance. Others glance up at Gregor.
Gregor’s fingers twitch around the hilt at his hip. His eyes sweep the faces of his men and what he sees bothers him him more than Burr: doubt.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Zefla quickly checks the pockets of the guards that she had slain, looking for a key or anything that might be useful. After that she slips back down the stairs of the tower, listening closely to the commotion going on at the front of the cathedral.
Knowing time was not on their side and the way the guards on the tower acted, more concerned with Burr than keeping an eye out for others, she decides to continue the descend to the basement, thinking that between herself and Soren they can handle whatever is holding the kid down here. Besides, with all of Burr's bravado, he wasn't invincible and she wanted Giles there to make sure he was ok.
If there is a door at the bottom, she will listen at it to try and ascertain what is going on. If there is a lot of voices, it might make her pause.
Perception: 6(nat 1)
The sounds of outside apparently cover whatever might be behind the door, so she opens it and slips inside...
If a spider could snarl, Soren does, at the sound, muffled by the folds in Zefla's cloak, of the coward below screaming for the murder of his friend. He would like nothing more than to drop Wild Shape and ask Zefla to put an arrow in the dastard's back while Soren himself would call down searing moonlight upon his head. Surely the rest of this Cathedral pack, however rabid, could be convinced to abandon the man. Or at least not side with him.
Yet unlike in the windmill, Soren has no disagreement with Zefla's course of action. Staying focused on freeing Emil and any other prisoners being held in the crypts. He grits his teeth (to the extent a spider has teeth to grit) and continues clinging to her shoulder.

Perception: 6 (nat 1)
The sounds of outside apparently cover whatever might be behind the door, so she opens it and slips inside...
Stealth w/adv (trickster): 19
