Giles moves fast, hearing the sounds below grow louder, he heads north at full speed for the trap door, descending as quick as he can. “Keep up now, that’s it..”, his ethereal mage hand floating beside him. Then he heads down the hallway, his eye on the guard to the south, dashing as hard as he can, arriving at the space just to the east of the guard. As he sees Soren on the stair below, dodging the blows from the guard, Giles says “Soren! Duck! Get down, now!” And with his telekinetic power, he gives the guard a shove to the chest, hoping to send him sprawling down the stairs as Soren hopefully trips him up…tabletopping the unsuspecting guard.
Movement : 30 feet, down the trap door and south
Action : Dash to get to the square to the east of the guard.
Bonus action : Telekinetic mage handshove, to push the guard down the stairs, DC 14 strength save to resist.
(I believe Soren's turn is before Giles per Initiative in Post 1854, so I think my post below happens before Giles'Telekinetic shove).
Nettle's sortie from Soren's shoulder to distract Izek is quite circuitous this time, avoiding the Moonbeam, using her 60' fly speed and flyby : W-->N-->N-->NW-->W-->SW - help against Izek from Zefla's previous location just north of him - N-->N-->N-->Up (finishing up near the ceiling just above Zefla's current spot). Next attack against Izek has advantage.
Izek remains in the Moonbeam - no action needed by Soren: at start of Izek's turn, DC14 CON Save, 15 radiant damage (again) on failure, 7 on success.
Soren uses his action to dodge. (If this can play into Giles' shenanigans, all the better!). DEX Saves at advantage, attacks against him at disadvantage.
Movement: (possibly ducking down if he can do so after he hears Giles... but either way remaining roughly where he is.)
Bonus Action: ONLY if Burr is knocked unconscious by Izek's most recent blow, Soren casts Healing Word on him. (Will roll/narrate if needed.)
Soren calmly repeats his words from when the madman first attacked. "Come on, rabid dog. You must have always known it would end this way."
"Me?" Zefla coughs up a little blood and then wipes it off her lips with the back of her hand. "I'm good. I'm more worried about you!" Using her steady aim she fires another arrow at the huge man.
[Even dashing, I can't quite get Gilesinto position. He gets close enough, though, and I'd like to see how this plays out, so I'll allow him a little extra movement just this once...]

Bracing for a physical attack, the guard has no answer for Giles' mental shove. With Sorendodging out of the way, there is nothing to stop him from tumbling down the stairs to land at Burr'sfeet, prone near the bottom steps, taking 3bludgeoning damage for his trouble.

Izekagain does his best to shrug off the burning light of Soren'sMoonbeam, but the relentless stabbing of the bloodspear and yet another arrow pointed at a crucial weakspot prove too much. He coughs up a mouthful of blood, looks balefully at Burras if to say something, then staggers back 5' and falls.
CON: 11
The guard, landing just inside the Moonbeam's radius, is too surprised to do anything but burn. He screams as the radiance of the Moonbeam destroys him.
As Izekcollapses to the floor, his massive form stills, and for a moment, the room is heavy with the sound of his final, labored breathing. Then even that stops. Blood pools beneath him, spreading like a dark shadow on the kitchen floor. Izek Strazni, the drunken, cruel fist of Baron Vallakavich, is dead.
But just as the first flickers of relief begin to surface, a sinister crackling fills the air. It starts faintly, like dry wood splintering in a fire, but it grows louder, sharper- something is very wrong. Izek’s body begins to convulse violently. Smoke rises from his corpse, curling in thick, acrid plumes from his fiendish arm and spreading across his shoulders, charring his bloody cloak. His skin blackens, splits, and smolders, revealing raw, molten flesh beneath. The cracks in his form glow an angry red, like fissures on the surface of an erupting volcano. The stench of sulfur fills the room, choking and oppressive.
Suddenly, his head snaps up, and his eyes ignite with a hellish glow—twin burning coals searing through the haze. A guttural, inhuman roar bursts from his throat, blasting the party with heat like a furnace door flung open. The roar reverberates with unnatural power, sending glassware shattering from shelves and shaking the very walls of the manor.
As Izekrises, his body mutates further. Barbs sprout from his fiendish arm, jagged and cruel, their edges glowing white-hot. Flames lick across his battleaxe, the once-ordinary weapon now ablaze with infernal energy. His misshapen arm ignites as well, a torch made of flesh. He hunches over, his form monstrous and seething with barely-contained fury, glowing eyes turning from Zefla, to Burr, to Soren.
The air around him distorts, shimmering with a haze of oppressive heat. His voice rumbles like an inferno, guttural but somehow cold and alien. “You thought to end me?” he growls, flames dancing in his throat. “Now, you burn.”

Self-imposed DC15 WIS Save for Soren to avoid becoming frightened of the fiery fiendish avatar of Izek: 21 (success)
Soren's deep-seated, trauma-induced primal fear being fire, he is still plenty scared, just not rendered completely helpless by terror.
The druid yelps in surprise and dismay as the guard, whose only flaws had seemed to be cowardice and perhaps stupidity, perishes in the Moonbeam. But his dismay turns abruptly to horror as the fallen Izek reanimates into a fiery spined find from the Nine Hells.
Steeling himself and swallowing back the bile at the back of his throat, Soren manages: "Rather, it was you who sought to end us, Izek. Or whatever it is that you have become now. I was leading you to the one you sought when you attacked me. Now I understand why. Have you always been so?"
Either way, Soren holds his ground and only trembles a little, making room for Giles and the others to move past him if they wish.
Nettle wings down from her position above Zefla to flybyFiendish-Izek and take the help action before continuing east to the eastern kitchen wall, then south skirting the Moonbeam, and east again up near the ceiling of the upstairs hall, 10' past Soren. Next attack against the fiend has advantage.
ASSUMING the Moonbeam is no longer covering Fiendish-Izek's current location, Soren uses his Action to move it slightly so it is at a point just SE of the enemy (covering four 5' squares, with Fiendish-Izek at the northwestern of the four squares), aiming to give Burr and Zefla a clear path to either attack or flee. If the Moonbeam is already in place to do that, then Sorendodges instead. Either way, he calls to his companions, including those who cannot see:
"Izek is slain but reanimated as a fiery fiend intent on slaying us in turn. We must act as a pack. Fight or flee?" (Soren looks as if he would rather flee).
Soren'sMoonbeam: DC14 CON Save when entering AoE or starting turn there, 10radiant damage on failure, 5 on success. Shapechangers make save at disadvantage and revert to original form on failure.
Giles does move past Soren, heading partway down the steps, but making sure not to enter the moonbeam. “So… true colors revealed… a demon! That explains the arm…”. He looks rather taken aback by this turn of events, glancing quickly at Burr and looking down at Zefla. “Sorry I didn’t arrive sooner. Between all of us, we will bring you down, demon. Help has arrived.”
He holds his hand up and a shimmering light descends on the Demon Izek, then he uses his telekinetic mage hand to push or pull Izek into the moonbeam, if needed.
Movement : Halfway down the stairs, clearing a path if anyone wants to move by him, but avoiding the moonbeam light.
Action : Casts sacred flame on Demon Izek, for 3 points of radiant damage, DC 14 Dex save to avoid.
Bonus action : Telekinetic mage hand shove or pull to hold the Demon within the moonbeam, DC 14 strength save to resist.
"I knew it! I knew something was seriously wrong with you!!" Zefla considers using her silvered shortsword, wondering if it would do more damage than her arrows, but then she'd lose her ability to sneak attack the terrible creature and decides to keep puncturing the damn creature as she slows her breathing to steady her aim.
[Before I can proceed I need to clarify something...
Where the Moonbeam and Izek are currently located, he is still in the area of effect.
However, in order for Burr to move out of the corner and engage Izek in melee this round, Burr would have to enter the area of effect as well.
So either Burr has to enter the Moonbeam and roll a CON save, or Soren has to use his action to move the Moonbeam 10' north, and thus not take the Dodge action.
Either way, Izek will be using a reaction in response to one of your attacks and then taking his turn once we sort this detail out.]

OOC: Apologies, my post was pretty convoluted, but I was trying to say that on one of two conditions, including that the Moonbeam would not give Burr or Zefla a clear path to attack, Soren moves it to cover the four 5' squares so that Fiend-Izek is on the northwest of the four squares.
So Soren does not dodge and Burr has a clear path to Fiend-Izek.
Not sure I love my choice now, especially given Giles'Telekinetic Shove. But it's what I wrote, so let's stick with it.
[Burr- yes, dropping Izek the first time counts as reducing a target to 0 HP. You can roll for your 2d6 of Temp HP.]
Reaction: Cinder Sparks
As Burr strikes true yet again with the Bloodspear, carving into the infernal flesh of this transmogrified Izek, a furious glow pulses from the fiery veins running through his body. His molten eyes narrow, and with a guttural snarl, he raises his blazing arm. The air around him erupts in a burst of blinding, swirling cinders. Sparks dance like fireflies in a storm, hissing as they scorch the walls and floor, filling the space with choking smoke and burning embers. The intense heat sears exposed skin and singes clothing, while the blazing particles sting like a swarm of fiery wasps. For Burr, the world becomes a haze of fire and smoke. The glowing cinders assault his eyes, threatening to rob them of sight.

The magic radiance cast by Giles makes its way through to wound the fiend, and Soren'sMoonbeam continues to shine down upon it. This time, however, the heat surrounding Izekflares up, seeming to repel some of the moonlight. [Legendary Resistance used.]
Izek’sburning eyes lock onto Burr. With a roar he swings his flaming battleaxe in a wide arc.
Flaming Battleaxe: 9 (Miss)
The fiery blade cuts through the cinder-filled air but misses its target. Undeterred, he follows up with a vicious punch from his fiendish arm.
Burning Punch: 26 Bludgeoning Damage: 6 Fire Damage: 2
The grotesque limb surges with heat as it connects, the sheer force sending shockwaves through Burr while flames sear his flesh. The smell of burning fabric and singed hair fills the room as the fighter staggers back from the fiery blow. Despite Burr'simposing strength and boundless rage, the punch pushes him back 5' into the corner.
Bonus Action: Explosive Blast
Izekthen shifts his attention to the spellcasters gathered on the staircase, a cruel grin spreading across his blistered, devilish face. He raises his flaming hand, pointing directly at them. "You cannot help, but burn," he growls, as a streak of molten fire bursts from his palm. The fire streaks through the air and slams into the stairs, erupting in a roaring explosion. Flames roll outward in a searing wave, engulfing Giles, Burr, and Sorenin an inferno of heat and burning splinters.
[Giles, Burrand Sorenmust make DC 13 DEX saves. On a failure they take 13fire damage, or 6fire damage on a success. On a failed save, they are also knocked prone.]
The blast ignites several nearby crates, and the dry wood catches immediately, flames licking hungrily toward the ceiling. Smoke begins to thicken, the acrid stench of burning wood and oil filling the air. The kitchen is rapidly transforming into a death trap of heat and flames, with Izekstanding at its infernal center, grinning like an efreet unleashed.
Seemingly satisfied with the pain he has inflicted on those three, for now, he turns and strides across the room to Zefla, who seems very small before this hulk of fire. His barbed, flaming arm flexes as though savoring the pain it’s about to inflict
Suddenly, from the stairs, there is a blur of motion. Ireenabursts into the room, her boots pounding down the scorched steps and she maneuvers between the party members. Smoke curls around her as she takes in the scene—the burning crates, the hellish heat, the halfling cornered under Izek’s oppressive form. Her eyes widen with horror, but she doesn’t falter.
“Izek!” she shouts, her voice cutting through the crackling of the flames. “Get away from her, you beast! It’s me you want!”
The brute freezes for a heartbeat, his fiery gaze snapping to her. The flames around his body flicker with renewed intensity, as though her presence has stoked them. Ireena takes a deep breath, steadying herself, and steps outside the back door into the cool night air. Her silhouette stands framed in the doorway, a stark contrast to the chaos inside. “Come for me,” she calls back inside. “Let’s end this.”
Before Izekor anyone else can reaction, Tourmalinesqueezes past Sorenand leans cautiously over the bannister at the top of the stairs, her breath hitching as she takes in the infernal scene. The tiefling wizard’s crimson skin pales slightly as the weight of her own injuries and the lack of magic at her disposal sinks in. With a trembling hand, she mutters an incantation, and a swarm of biting fleas materializes in the air around Izek.
CON: 7 Damage: 1 Movement: 1[blocked]
The tiny creatures swarm over him, gnawing at his charred flesh. For a fleeting moment, Izekfalters, batting at the maddening swarm. But with a roar of fury, the intense heat radiating from his body incinerates the fleas in an instant, leaving behind nothing.
Tourmalineswallows hard and retreats quickly back up the stairs, her tail flicking nervously behind her. She looks upon Soren, his face streaked with soot, and grips his arm tightly. “I have nothing left,” she says in a panicked whisper, her voice barely steady. “Nothing that will stop... that.” Her eyes dart back toward the stairs, a flicker of guilt and helplessness crossing her face before she steels herself, waiting for the next move from her allies.

Engulfed by flames, Soren throws back his head screams wildly as a forest animal would with their fur on fire. The whites of his eyes dart, looking for an escape, any escape. Unfortunately, the closest exit from the burning man-den may as well be a day's journey away since he cannot bring himself to move closer to the infernal abomination that Izek has become. Soren's DC20 WIS Save at the end of his turn (Fiend-Izek not in sight) to escape the frightened condition: 14 (failure)

"I... have to... I cannot face... not again... please... help them! Anything you have."

[Burr - yes, dropping Izek the first time counts as reducing a target to 0 HP.
[Burr must make a DC 13 CON takes 2 fire damage and be blinded until the start of Izek's next turn.]
DEX (for Sacred Flame: 3
STR (for telekinetic shove): 18
CON for Moonbeam: 5
The magic radiance cast by Giles makes its way through to wound the fiend, and Soren's Moonbeam continues to shine down upon it. This time, however, the heat surrounding Izek flares up, seeming to repel some of the moonlight. [Legendary Resistance used.]
Izek’s burning eyes lock onto Burr. With a roar he swings his flaming battleaxe in a wide arc.
The fiery blade cuts through the cinder-filled air but misses its target. Undeterred, he follows up with a vicious punch from his fiendish arm.
The grotesque limb surges with heat as it connects, the sheer force sending shockwaves through Burr while flames sear his flesh. The smell of burning fabric and singed hair fills the room as the fighter staggers back from the fiery blow. Despite Burr's imposing strength and boundless rage, the punch pushes him back 5' into the corner.
Bonus Action: Explosive Blast
Izek then shifts his attention to the spellcasters gathered on the staircase, a cruel grin spreading across his blistered, devilish face. He raises his flaming hand, pointing directly at them. "You cannot help, but burn," he growls, as a streak of molten fire bursts from his palm. The fire streaks through the air and slams into the stairs, erupting in a roaring explosion. Flames roll outward in a searing wave, engulfing Giles, Burr, and Soren in an inferno of heat and burning splinters.
[Giles, Burr and Soren must make DC 13 DEX saves. On a failure they take 13 fire damage, or 6 fire damage on a success. On a failed save, they are also knocked prone.]
The blast ignites several nearby crates, and the dry wood catches immediately, flames licking hungrily toward the ceiling. Smoke begins to thicken, the acrid stench of burning wood and oil filling the air. The kitchen is rapidly transforming into a death trap of heat and flames, with Izek standing at its infernal center, grinning like an efreet unleashed.
Ireena bursts into the room, her boots pounding down the scorched steps and she maneuvers between the party members.
Before Izek or anyone else can reaction, Tourmaline squeezes past Soren and leans cautiously over the bannister at the top of the stairs, her breath hitching as she takes in the infernal scene. The tiefling wizard’s crimson skin pales slightly as the weight of her own injuries and the lack of magic at her disposal sinks in. With a trembling hand, she mutters an incantation, and a swarm of biting fleas materializes in the air around Izek.
CON: 7 Damage: 1 Movement: 1 [blocked]
The tiny creatures swarm over him, gnawing at his charred flesh. For a fleeting moment, Izek falters, batting at the maddening swarm. But with a roar of fury, the intense heat radiating from his body incinerates the fleas in an instant, leaving behind nothing.
Tourmaline swallows hard and retreats quickly back up the stairs, her tail flicking nervously behind her.

Soren's DC13 DEX Save against Fiend-Izek's Explosive Blast: 5 (failure, 13 fire damage applied, Soren is knocked prone).
Soren's DC10 CON Save to maintain concentration on Moonbeam: 24 (success).
(Applied frightened condition to Soren).
It is happening again... everything and everyone I know shall burn as Neverwinter Wood did that night... I must save myself... but I must also save them...
Bonus Action: IF Burr (or any of his companions, but priority on Burr) fall, Soren casts Healing Word. (Let me know and if so, I will narrate and roll it).
Action: despite every instinct screaming at him to dash away frantically and drop his concentration on the spell, Soren grits his teeth and focuses on moving his Moonbeam to center it on the spot on the exterior wall just to the west of Fiend-Izek so it covers over half of Fiend-Izek's square and over half of the square immediately outside to the west, but does not cover half of any other square.
Moonbeam (7th of 10 rounds): DC14 CON Save at start of turn or when entering AoE, 14 radiant damage on failure, 7 on success. Shapechangers make the save with disadvantage and revert to their original form on failure.
Movement: Soren stands up from being prone and stumbles 15' east past Lady Bauer along the upper hallway, overwhelmed by an desperate need to escape the burning structure and the fiery fiend, but finding that he cannot bring himself to move towards any exit other than the far eastern one.
Free Action: Soren rolls frantically, putting out the flames licking at his clothing and small wooden shield.
Soren's DC20 WIS Save at the end of his turn (Fiend-Izek not in sight) to escape the frightened condition: 14 (failure)
He wants to call out to his companions, to Viktor trapped upstairs and unknowing in his attic, to the poor, mournful mastiff still likely somewhere in this abattoir of a man-den, but the words catch in his throat out of sheer terror. All Soren can manage is a whispered croak in passing to Lady Bauer:
"I... have to... I cannot face... not again... please... help them! Anything you have."
Nettle wings past the fiery abomination using flyby, taking the help action and continuing out the door, out and upward into the night (finishing 15' up and 15' west of the exterior door in the back of the manor house). Next attack against Fiend-Izek is made with advantage.
(Though separated from Soren, the owl familiar continues to describe the basics of what she sees telepathically to him).

(Giles dex save : 16)
His Lady is with him as Giles sees the blast coming, hopping up two stairs to avoid it, rapidly crouching down to avoid the majority of the heat, his mind racing about his next move.
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As Soren begins to stumble and roll away in terror, east along the upstairs hallway, his fear is magnified as he witnesses the flames hurl his friend Burr against the kitchen wall, the big man's form crumpling to the floor. The druid howls a dirge as the mastiff had moments ago (verbal component).
Burr lies deep beneath the surface of a forest lake, dappled rays of sunlight refracting down from the canopy. He feels a beast grip him, gently but firmly by the scruff of the neck, bearing him up towards the surface, muzzle brushing Burr's shoulders. Your pack still has need of you, hunt brother.
Soren casts as a Bonus Action Healing Word: Burr regains 6 hp. He wakes prone, still within the inferno created by the blast.
