Lektra moves forward to collect a lute, a dagger, her backpack, and a rapier. This rapier, however, is different than most. Where many have an ornate cage surrounding the handle, this has a simple cross guard in the shape of wings. She swings it too and fro, looking down the length of the blade for any damage, and tests the balance. Content that nothing has been changed, she slides it into a sheath at her waist.
"What is this... 'Blacker's hook'? What does it do?"
“It is a hook forged by a man named Jack Blacker.” Baron begins as she takes a seat once more. “He was so overcome by paranoia that he believed all who were around him were plotting to kill him, so he forged a weapon and had it imbued by magic. Any who wield it have an intense desire to slay those who would threaten them or their friends or family.” She smiles and scans the room for a reaction. “It is an incredibly deadly tool - but the least of the artifacts that were within Azalin’s vault.”
"Well that is to be expected if it was in possession of Anzalin"says Wex. Well we will need to handle that hook with care. First thing first we need to find the vault.
“Take the rabbit’s leg to the wall of Mist in Darkon - the Shroud, and hold it up. Do not go into the Shroud without one - as the Mists in Darkon will kill you,. I have lost many agents to this. Merely speak the name of Souragne with the rabbit’s leg in hand and the Mists will consume it and then part. You will have to travel for a few hours within them.”
"The chain," Lesqwyn says. "For the undead skulls. Do you have one for us to take with us. Or do one of you just carry around chains?" She glances around at each of the others.
Having asked her question, she starts to turn the rabbit leg over in her hands, pondering over the fact that this will keep them safe from the Shroud.
Her head suddenly snaps up to look at Baron."Did you say we have to go through the mists? Like when we were ab... uh, brought here? Or when I was." Her normally flat voice seems tinged with concern. A worried look comes over her face.
“Traversal through the Mists is crucial to our goals. If you were to just stay in Darkon, well… you wouldn’t get anything done and I’d have to kill you.”
Finally standing, Heiric stretches and cracks a few joints, gingerly walking over to his gear on the table. "So much for dinning before dashing, but food just doesn't have the same appeal ad it used to." Looks down at the lifeless body of Terrin, "if he's the main course ... well I assume we are free to be on our way. The task isn't going to complete itself." Finally reaching over to his packs straps and dragging it straight off the table, knocking all the place setting to the floor. As ge starts to walk away, he remembers "whoops, I might want those" and reaches back for his bow and rapier still on the table. "You would have any other supplys for us would you, lucky rabbits feet will only get us so far."
“I do not have any supplies for you, no. Feel free to use whatever artifacts you find in the vault, however, so long as they are all brought back here.” Baron heads for the door, opening it and holding it open for each of you.
Calna is the at the end of the line, pushing in her chair before she turns to follow the group out. She looks at the group who will be going with her, These are some characters, I could learn a thing or too. She turns to Baron one more time to grab her shortsword off the table and ask before they part "How do we return when we are ready? Will the rabbit leg allow for us to come back?"
She then runs to catch up with the rest of the group "Wait for me!!"
Following Calna, "I suspect none of us would be in a hurry to get started I we know the true horrors that await us, the undead is probably the least them." He slowly follows taking up the rear of the group, more concern on what's lingering behind them more them what they charge into.
Calna cautiously runs up to Drexium knowing that the fearless shown earlier in that room is what she will need to survive this mission. "How did you do that?" She says softly, "How were you able to kill that man?" Her voice now getting louder and braver as she grips the sides of her overalls "I know I will need qualities similar to what you have just done to get through this, so please? What do I need to know? This is nothing like building a house so I fear I don't have the same qualities as you"
As the party leaves the dining room - they come out to a large foyer with two double doors made of wood. Men and women with the same pale skin as Baron stand guard by them - but allow you to pass as they open the doors for you. The light of day hits your eyes - the first sunlight you’ve seen since arriving in Darkon. As your eyes adjust, you catch sight of a sprawling city full of cobblestone streets, towering spire-like buildings, and homes. Men, women, and children move through the streets - a few glancing upward in awe. Should you follow their gaze, you catch sight of a strange golden object hanging in the sky below the sky. A Kargat guard in plain clothes steps behind you, a young woman with dark hair and even darker eyes. She soon passes you, offering that you follow her out lest you get mugged, or worse. “Il Aluk may seem calm and beautiful.. but it is a cesspool of violence.”
Wex carefully keeps the coin in his pouch. "Ah, finally sunlight and the skies above."He takes a couple of deep breathes and then follows the guard while enjoying the feel of the sun on his pale blue skin. Best cherish this as moment as we are headed toward a dangerous land supposed infested with undead.

Drexium listened as the others searched for answers. Content with the answers provided he adds, "Very well. Let's be going then."
He gets his gear on and situated. Shield and sword ready.

Lektra follows Drexium out of the room, throwing a wink at Baron as she passes through to opened door.
Wex briskly walks out the door intent on finally being out of this place.
"Yes, of course," Lesqwyn says nervously. "Let's go get things done." She heads out after the others.

OOC- Sorry may have missed that as I try to catch up after work all day :)
