Thankful this skull face has no features that would indicate emotions, one of the only perks Heiric has found being a skeleton. He feels a sense of familiarity with the noises, like he's heard them before, but not comfortable with them in the least bit. Nervous, but trying to keep it from his voice he says, "So... now that we are free of the Barron's ears, anybody have a clue what WE are doing here? Besides the obvious get powerful artifacts for someone who clearly has pure intentions for them."
No betraying facial features but clattering teeth could be a problem it appears.
Wex Vibler grimaces at all the eerie sounds. Are these some strange manifestation of those that died in the Mist. Well I have no plans to join them. Keep walking Wex and don't look back.
He gives himself a light slap and continues walking forward.
Your journey through the Mists are relatively quiet in terms of seeing things, until a few minutes in a figure manifests itself - moving forward slowly.
(Is this a creature that is made out of the mists? Or is it a more substantial form that just walked out of the mists?)
Upon seeing the figure moving towards the group, Lektra will draw her rapier and hold in a relaxed, but ready position - her wings moving slightly to prepare to dodge out of the way if this... thing makes a move to attack the group.
(I think Lektra would be towards the front of the group, but not going immediately first. She would wait to see if anyone else attempts to engage the creature first, but if no one makes any moves to do that, she will call out "I think that is close enough! Who are you and what is your business here?" If whoever IS going first attempts contact first, Lektra will sit back and just be prepared to support if this things attempts to attack.)
Wex Vibler readies his viol and bow string. "Now I don't know who or what you are, but I suggest introducing yourself. Unless you would like to hear a dreadful song from me."
A voice comes out from beyond the Mist. “Uhhh, hi! I’m Tara!” The voice belongs to a female who steps out from the Mists, looking confused. “Did anyone see a man run through here with a necklace? He kind of stole it from my church..”
She is wearing blue priestly robes, has a young face denoting that she is in her early twenties, and beautiful blue eyes, tan skin, and long brown hair.
Heiric chimes in from the back, "Nope sorry, nobody seems to be about at the moment, good luck in your search." He keeps his head down as he says this more watching around the sides and behind them.
As Lesqwyn starts to hear the sounds within the misty grey, she just wants to stop, curl up, and hide. "I knew this was a bad idea," she murmurs to herself. She manages to keep trudging forward but falls back behind most the others. Except for Calna. Somehow it reassures her to know someone else is struggling to get through this. "I... I'm s... sure it's f... f... fine."
'Well, that sounded stupid. Best keep my mouth shut.'she silently thinks in her head. She does stay quiet, though she keeps glancing to Calna to make sure she is keeping up. It keeps her mind off of... well, everything else.
Preoccupied, Lesqwyn doesn't really notice the figure approaching. She hears the others calling out though and just starts to look up as Tara's voice replies to them. "Aaah!" she cries out, startled. She quickly quiets herself, but her heart is now beating fast, too fast. 'What sort of person would be out here?' she thinks.
“Well, um..” She looks to Heiric, then to the rest of the group. “That’s just it.. I don’t know where to go. I’m from Richemulot and I wandered too close to the Mist. Next thing I know, I’m lost in it all because I was chasing a thief.” She smiled sheepishly… then looks at Calna and her eyes widen in glee. “Oh, by Ezra!” She runs over to the Halfling girl and lifts her with a sudden hug. “You’re so cute! What’s your name? I like your overalls and your hair!” She then looks at Lektra and practically squeals. “A walking BIRD? I take it back, I should get lost more often! You guys look cool!”
Lektra stares daggers at this newcomer "I am more than just a BIRD, girl." she says flatly. She sheathes her rapier and her wings flutter silently as they fold back into their resting position.
(Do we know, or have we ever heard of, Richemulot?)
(You have not. Though I’ll need Wex to make a history check) “Oh, um, sorry. I usually spend my time in the church.” She looks to Lektra and sets Calna down. “Do you want a hug to remedy any offense?”
Lesqwyn sees Tara rush at Calna and lift her; she moves towards them protectively. 'A crazy person! THAT'S the sort of person that would be out here,' she thinks. "Just put her down! Go back to your silly church." Fortunately, Calna is set back down, though it's hard to tell if the half-elf's actionds really mattered in that.
"What church did you say you were from?" As Heiric says this he is nudging the group to continue as nonchalant as he can manage. He walking up to her while nudging with hip to try and get folks past her. "What was so important about this necklace that you would venture the mist by yourself? "
Hmm... Well this person is suspicious. We need a magic talisman to traverse the mist and she is just traipsing through unaided. Now what do I know of Richemulot.
"Tara, how are you traveling through the deadly mists? Do you have some kind of magic aiding you?" asks Wex
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Calna sees Tara, who seems like normal person like them she breathes a sigh of relief. However, as soon as Tara comes running at her eyes wides get big and she feels her body try and shrink down which deems impossible as she is lifted off the ground. "Th...Thanks" she replies to Tara's compliment kinda sheepishly. The last thing she wants to be called is cute as her and everyone make there way to the undead... I know I don't fit in but come on... she thinks. As she places her back on the ground, Calna looks her over. "The thief ran into the mist? I'd love to be able to help!" While saying she looks around at the rest of her party to see their reaction. "But how do we know the mist took the thief to the same area? We all seem to have met the mist once before arriving here and it took us to another land" Her brow burrows again and she shivers at the thought of Baron. "Regardless no one should be alone with these mists in sight" The thought of being alone in this mists makes her heart pound. She observes everyones reactions to her comments, hoping they all agree that Tara shoulda company them. Assuming she is telling the truth....
However Calna would like to get a insight? or perception? not sure on Tara. After all they've been through she'd like to know if Tara is telling her the truth. 8 +1 for both insight and perception for Calna.

“Um, no. I just kinda walked in…”
Wex, you’d know Richemulot is another place similar to Darkon and Souragne enshrouded by Misty borders.

Calna, you can tell Tara is telling the truth and that she’s just especially bubbly and is trying to be sweet and kind.
