Another spider shuddered at the toiling of Mazour's mystical bell, causing (2) of it's legs to hang limply from it's body. This seemed to just agitate the creature more as both creatures continued their wild assault. Though their attacks were frenzied, they seemed unable to penetrate the metal plating covering Hutton's legs...
"Oh good, your awake," Hutton says to Redii. "Want to get back up and lend a hand? Can't imagine taking a nap at a time like this. And with a bunch of cat-spiders to boot. But whatever floats your boat, I guess."
He kicks at the white spider in an attempt to keep it away from his downed companion.

Brack shoots a disapproving look at Hutton, though it's unclear whether the grimace was for the poor attempt at humor or his late realization of the situation Redii was in. Regardless, the dwarf quickly gets back to helping those standing continue to neutralize the threat.
A quick chant out of key, "...DorROOoooh" and another wave of discordance spills out towards one of the remaining spiders.

While Redii continued to remain helpless on the ground, Hutton and Brack continued to fend them off. Another boot to another spider sends the creature reeling backwards and barely clinging to life. Meanwhile, Brack's magically laced words manage to infect their target this time around causing it to twitch momentarily in pain!
Seeing the two spiders reeling under the assault, Mazour leaps in. Reaching out, he grabs Reddi and begins to pull her out from under Hutton and back out of reach of the spiders. With a smirk he glanced down to Reddi and said, "No dear, don't get up. We'll take care of this."
Mazour raises his left hand, exposing the reliquary as he chants the short prayer. Again the purple swirls form a bell above the spider. And again it tolls a single soul stirring pulse.

Though Redii was paralyzed and unable to move, there was fire in her eyes at Mazour's quip as he dragged her away from action. Simultaneously, a loud Dong rang through the night, causing another spider to curl up and fall to its side dead.
The last spider, on its last legs - literally and figuratively - made a wild attack at the man that almost killed him. Unfortunately for the spider, its attack was ineffective.
Encouraged by the spiders' willingness to curl up and die, Hutton tries to crush the remaining spider. Preexisting arachnid juice spatters any unfortunate enough to be laying too near his boots.

Mazour propped Reddi up against the side of the ship. Looking to the others, he sighed. "I'm drawing a blank on the venom. I'm so very... sorry, Reddi. Give me a moment to sort her out though. Why don't you both search below and then we can get back to our little friend Hookshanks? Then we'll sort out the children and make sure they are taken care of."
Mazour's normally breathy voice was labored a bit more than usual with his recent activity. Kneeling by Reddi, he caught his breath while looking around. "We should get back to the little bastard before someone else does."

Heaving a sigh of relief, Brack runs his fingers through his beard and wipes the sweat onto his doublet. He listens to Mazour's assessment and Hutton's dismissal, adding his own diagnosis to the mix, "Nasty bit of poison in t'spiders but should pass soon, if my 'unch is correct. Best to get 'er to a safe spot above ship to rest up, eh?"
He leans down as well next to Redii and motions for Mazour to help him move the paralyzed lass towards a nest of ropes strewn on the deck. Though the lines were soiled thoroughly thanks to many a night exposed to the salty river air, their softness would serve well as a makeshift bed until she recovered.
After moving Redii, Brack straightens up and begins to look around. Keeping an eye on Hutton, he begins to take in the immediate surroundings on the top deck. His attention shifts between the various equipment laying about and the current state of the vessel

Mazour checks to make sure Reddi is as comfortable as possible before leaving her. Turning quickly, he follows Hutton down the stairs. Peeking around Hutton's huge frame, he looked around.

While certainly no sea captain or expert when it came to nautical knowledge, Brack was able to size up the ship, and well... it didn't inspire much confidence. While it still technically floated, there was a subtle lilt to the ship as if it could topple over to the side at any moment. The mast, while intact was much more pliable than he would've liked and the wood of the deck creaked and wobbled slightly under his weight wherever he moved. Most importantly, whatever sails may have adorned this ship in its prime were long gone. If this ship was to be seaworthy once again, it would take a lot of work to get there.

Based on what he had seen so far and what he had gleamed from Redii and the remaining "Lambs", it appeared that the Old Fishery was seemingly abandoned - besides Gaedren Lamm and his crew who squatted in the place of course. Some of the items found earlier in the place - the foul-smelling "stew" for example - lead Brack to believe that while no one else lived in the space, part of the Fishery might've been a front for other activities during the day.

If someone completely paralyzed could "huff", that was the look that Redii gave off as Mazour turned to join Hutton in exploring the rest of the Kraken's Folly.
Descending the rickety stairs - one actually broke beneath Hutton's boot as he made his way down, the pair found a dark and dank ship’s hold smelling of mildew. Several barrels, crates, and other containers lie stacked here and there. Dust and grime cover the floor, except where river water has collected in puddles. No sign of Gaedren anywhere... at first. But the duo eventually found a faint trail of tracks leading to the hull of the ship closest to the Old Fishery. After a quick examination, a secret door built into the hull was that discovered that was quickly opened - with a bit of force from Hutton - to something previously unkonwn: an Underpier.
The Underpier was a narrow space that existed under the Old Fishery, with about three feet of room between the floor of the eastern side of the building and the languid, foamy river water below. Wooden pilings supported the building, and thick mats of moss and cobwebs hung from ropes and rusted chains between them. A wooden walkway floated on the river’s surface, winding along the inner wall of pilings that supported the building’s frame above. The walkway led from the sodden ship to the east all the way west to a small two-and-a-half-foot-square door that led into an understructure below the fishery’s land-bound half. The pilings below this understructure are densely arrayed, leaving only narrow gaps into the water below that area...
Mazour placed a hand on Hutton's arm. "Wait, we need to get Reddi and Brak. I would hate to leave her here in that state."
Walking back up the stairs he motioned to Brak. "There's a path underneath that leads back in to the building. If he's around, there's a good chance it's in there. Would you mind giving me a hand with Reddi?" With that he stepped forward to Reddi and began to lift her up. "Come along now Reddi, the trail is still hot."
Brack huffs at Hutton's haste, "Redii's in no state to 'elp us out should we run into trouble. Don't doubt your physique and talents Hutton, but I'd rather not see us all reach a grim fate on account of rushing 'eadlong into a trap, even if it means the trail going cold. We did find 'im in the first place and I'd reckon t'Madame Zellara can 'elp us do it again."
Brack looks about the ship, to Redii, and to the others, "A bit of rest and Miss Rabbit will be back on 'er feet. Why don't we post watch in t'meanwhile, eh?"
"You're probably right, Brick. I hope you understand; I haven't had to rely on anyone but myself in a long time. The last time I did, he...was taken from me. That ruined my life and I've spent every moment since trying to find a way to prevent that from happening to anyone else at Gaerdren's hand. It's been a bit of an all-consuming task and sometimes it's hard to see anything but the path right in front of me."
He grimaces and proceeds to take a closer look around the boat to see if there may be anything they missed, such as clues as to Gaerdren's whereabouts or useful objects.

"We'll see this done... Hutton," Mazour paused for a moment and quietly regarded the Angry Mountain again. "I swear to it. But Reddi wants to be there too."
With that, Mazour turned to take watch. Waiting for his back to be turned to the others, he wiped his eyes.

Mazour looked over to Hutton with a raised eyebrow. "We're going down there, aren't we?"
With a sigh, he pulled up the hood on his cloak to keep the cobwebs from his hair.
"Reckon that would be prudent at this juncture," Hutton replies, eyes straight forward.
He steps gingerly into the floating walkway to assess its ability to hold him. If confident in its stability, he'll continue toward the small door.
