Should we look whats behind this door before we get out of here as quick as we can? All I can think is anything would have come looking for us based on all the noise we made and I would like to know what's at our back chasing us out of here. The elves wanted a clean sweep of this place, we are not going to let them down. Anything that looks like information we should take back to them, if not for us, for what they can do for the people under the thumb of the Iron Circle.
"Look, you did good kid. It's not easy being a hero, and its not easy when things like that *points at all the skeleton remains* are coming to get you. You just gotta remember what were here for and hopefully that we did the right thing. Without you here, everyone would be walking around like these skeleton boys *he points again*. Have a rest Esa, well look after you little one."
Augustin gives head scritches as Esa settles in and heals her for 7 hit points with lay on hands

I dont think thats a good idea without a short rest at the minimum, spellcasting wise we are tapped out. Certainly not saying we wont clear this place out but we need a safe place for a long rest
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Esa, who normally hates being treated like a child, has her pride wounded a little by going down for the first time. She begrudgingly accepts the lay on hands and says nothing.
Esa recognises a multi-layered effect in the illusion magic. There are at least two more layers of spell effects - both abjuration - underneath the illusion. The crafting of the spells and how they are woven together is delicate and complicated. Whoever cast these spells is extremely adept at magic and the fey signature is deliberate so any fey attuned caster would recognise it. There is also a message here for those who recognise the fey signature, which is a simple warning to leave the door alone.
The party have a short rest in the underground chamber, binding their wounds and catching their breath. Then they drag themselves up the stairs and leave the underground chamber. They head to the standing stones and Grimbald puts the Acorn on the centre stone and the teleport circle activates.
"Hey who.." says Esa. Then they are in the forest at the first standing stones they saw and where they killed the spiders. "..is that?" she finishes.
The others look at her. Esa explains herself. "I saw a figure watching us, elf-like, dressed in light coloured robes, long hair, thin face. He or she - who knows with elves? - was some distance away and I didn't notice until the last couple of seconds."
None of the other saw the figure so there isn't much else to be said. One of the Woodsinger elves appears out of the trees and greets you. She escorts you back to the Woodsinger camp where everyone smiles to see you back, and expresses concern at your wounds. They do not ask you how it went, they save that for Eriyel.
You are provided with food and warmth, the healers help with your wounds. The elves lightly touch you with affection and respect.
Then Eriyel is there, smiling, but she has an expectant look. She asks you how it went.
I would like to point out the new wound and provide some rather….embellished stories of our achievements. ESa might some more about what is going on with those magic boys, not really my thing, he says, placing his great sword over his shoulder.
"We have never used the stones, it has not been within our power to activate them," says Eriyel. "This is how we know that you are genuine and also that you did not know what you carried."
Esa will ask how much they know about what lies beyond the portal, and will mention the magic door they found. She tosses up whether or not to mention the figure she saw, but decides not to, at least for the time being
"We know much about Dal Nystiere, my grandparents spent some time there with the eladrin so I have vicarious knowledge of it. We have viewed it from outside, when our borders with the Daggerburg goblins were further west."
The elf ponders the information about the door.
"Without any more information, I would say it keeps something safe, or it keeps something dangerous. My strong suggestion is to leave it alone."
RL will ask, excuse me Sir Elf,s it safe to take a long rest here? Is there anywhere that would have more information about Dal Nystiere?
You are welcome to rest here once again. You will be safe.
Only fey and eladrin cities in the feywild will have information about Dal Nystiere. There are portals here and there into the feywild, but the access to the information will not come free.

Esa will tell everyone this, then returns to Augustins shoulder and settles in

I need an Arcana check from Esa. Anyone who has proficiency in Arcana can assist.
Grimbald will cast Goodberry before a long rest.

Esa warns everyone of the door
Grimbald has never been very good at following instructions, but he will have a rest first. and obviously retrieve the acorn.

How do YOU folk use this magic circle?

RL will watch how Esa and Augustin interact with the elves to try to learn how such civil niceties should occur.

He can have two (genuine) thumbs up from Augustin for giving it a good crack
And a short nod from Esa, her highest praise
