Grimbald stabs and kills the last of the giant rats.
You look around - bodies of rats, the beetle, and the spellcaster lie in pools of blood and other liquids. The spellcaster had a staff made of gnarled wood.
Augustin has noticed a dagger handle in one of the two piles of rubble.
There is a lit brazier against the wall.
There are double doors against the south wall. There is the corridor you came from in the east wall.
Esa will return to perch on Augustin's shoulder, and give him a little look over to see how injured he is. Once she is satisfied he will live, she asks what everyone intends to do now. She still has a spell slot remaining and can cast Detect Magic on the doors if they want, otherwise she will hold on to it if they intend to push onwards
Augustin doesn't know how big this area is, but he thinks there can't be much more to it. None of the underground areas under Harken Village are more than three rooms, four at the most. At least the ones discovered so far.
The double doors are old, rotten wood, rusted metal. They were no doubt sturdy when new, but now it looks like an armoured fist would go right through them.
When the group is ready, Augustin would like to kick the door open and duck out the way, encourages those with ranged attacks to get ready in case there is something unsavoury behind the door. . Strength 21
If we take a short rest, I would like to gather my thrown Javelins and have a look at this dagger to see if its anything interesting.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The door is jagged at the bottom and there is space for a pixie to slip through and go look.
When Esa looks through the crack she can see a corridor heading south which turns right (west) after 30 ft or so. There is a light source around the corner.
Esa makes a perception check 14.
She looks up and can see the door is on a latch and it would be easy for her to fly up and undo the latch.
Augustin looks at the dagger he found. It looks old and dirty, caked with hardened earth and dirt, but when he brushes some of the dirt off it seems to be bright and shiny underneath the layer of dirt and grime. It's of an unusual design. Augustin continues to break off the dirt surrounding it until he reveals it.
Augustin will show the dagger to briefly to Esa and point out how cool it looks and that we should have a better look at it later, noting it could be worth a small fortune. Augustin, isn't overtly stupid and adjusts his attitude on busting down the door upon provision of new information. He asks if everyone is ready to proceed, before offering to take the lead if no one else wants to go first, noting it can be dangerous.

The rat is pulled off course by Stryke's thorn whip but it causes minimal damage and the rat gets up and tries to run again.
Still need Grimbald and/or Augustin to make an opportunity attack.
Attack: 14 Damage: 9

Grimbald needs a rest, or a heal at least. He will search for hidden doors or squirrel holds 11 INVESTIGATION
Augustin grabs the dagger and pockets it for the time being. With lay on hands I’ll heal myself 1 and whosever is worse for west can have 4.
Esa will return to perch on Augustin's shoulder, and give him a little look over to see how injured he is. Once she is satisfied he will live, she asks what everyone intends to do now. Augustin - how much clearin’ out did that old fella from the inn expect us to do?
Shall we take a short rest while we determine our next steps before we run into hoards more of these devils
(not sure if it’s beneficial to anyone)
short rest sounds like a good idea as long as we are fairly secure. I could do with a little healing.
Stryke begrudgingly converses with the noisy clanging human. Excuse me Augustin, how big is this area, from your memory is there much more to do?
I will assume 1 minute has passed so Strykes appearance shifts back slightly to how he was at the inn, also his club stops glowing.
Augustin doesn't know how big this area is, but he thinks there can't be much more to it. None of the underground areas under Harken Village are more than three rooms, four at the most. At least the ones discovered so far.
Did Grimbalds investigation check find anything?
might only be 1 or 2 rooms left
vote for continue/short rest?
Grimbald finds no hidden or secret doors or trap doors.

Are there any cracks in or under the door esa can look through before we bust in?

Esa can hear a couple of voices, but they are muffled and she is unsure even what language is being spoken.

Stryke mutters about humans and their obsession with metal and all the damage caused to the land to get it.
